7th Heaven: Time to Say Goodbye, Yet Again
Last May, most felt that the Camdens had a true guardian angel watching over them. 7th Heaven was cancelled early in it its 10th season and the WB had promoting the final episodes for months. The WB aired the final episode and viewers said a tearful goodbye. Then the ratings came in. As a result, the cancellation decision was reversed and the series made the transition to the new CW network, albeit with a smaller budget. Now a year later, it looks like the guardian angel may have left them on their own.
Word is leaking out that the CW has cancelled the family drama after 11 seasons. The producers, cast and crew were reportedly told of the cancellation earlier today.
It actually comes as little surprise. The ratings for 7th Heaven haven’t been anything to write home about. At its highest, the series attracted 4.5 million viewers back in November when the sitcom Reba returned (since cancelled). Heaven’s usual viewership is much lower. Though the series budget is probably a reasonable one (with budget cuts and a smaller cast), the show’s weak attraction of the CW’s key demographic most assuredly doomed it.
The series finale will air on Sunday, May 13th in its regular 8pm timeslot. The hour-long episode will be entitled “And Away We Go.” Could a well-publicized finale create a repeat of last year’s last minute reprieve? I highly doubt it but you never know. Those Camdens have a track record of divine intervention. Stay tuned!

I CAN’T believe I missed the final episode. For whatever reason I honestly thought it was coming on tonight (Monday). SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS SOMEWHERE I CAN GET THE SERIES FINALE!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE DON’T TAKE MY SHOW OFF! I HAVE WATCHED EVERY SINGLE EPISODE AND EVEN GOT MY MOM TO WATCH IT. SHE LOVES IT AS MUCH AS I DO. IT IS THE BEST FAMILY SHOW AROUND. I AGREE WITH THE OTHERS, WHY IS IT THAT ALL THESE GARBAGE SHOWS HAVE STAYED ON THE AIR, BUT A GREAT SHOW LIKE THIS GETS CANCELED? PLEASE BRING IT BACK, YOU BROUGHT IT BACK THIS YR. My daughter and I LOVE 7th heaven and were almost in tears watching the last episode! In today’s world, this series is like a breath of fresh air, especially when you hold it up next to other tv shows. We would be so excited if the cw would change their minds and bring this series back.

please don’t take off 7th heaven. my husband and i watch it every sunday night. if we work we record it. we are addicted to the show and do not want to see it go. we were so happy when it was brought back. so please keep the show 7th heaven……….or are you going to do a spin off since lucy was offered the other job……

There is so little left on Tv, that a family can watch without having up to shut the TV because of violence sex and fowl language How can a parent spend time some family time without worrying. 7TH Heaven will be missed and it is so wrong that one of the only remaining good shows will be no more Carole

I agree with all of the people above. 7th Heaven has been an awesome family show. I look forward to watching it on Sundays.There are not many wonderful family show on t.v. anymore. I have been a viewer since it first aired. I ask if you get enough people sending positive comments Please, please don’t take 7th Heaven off the air. It is a great show and everyone in the family can enjoy it.

Please do not end 7th Heaven because it is the best show I had ever seen. I love the show so much and I also love all of the characters. I really want to see Sam, David, and Savannah grow up on TV.

There is so little on TV for the family anymore, that I can’t understand why such great family show like 7th Heaven is being taken off. Please, rethink your decision and leave 7th Heaven along and consider taking some of the garbage shows off. I have watched this show since it first began, and I for one will miss it terribly. I look forward to watching it every week, and tape it when I am going to be away. I have also convinced my neice and my sister-in-law to watch this show, and now that they have gotten to love it as I do they say they will miss it too. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS GREAT SHOW OFF THE AIR.

ICAN’T IMAGINE A SUNDAY OR A MONDAY EVENING WITHOUT THE CAMDEN’S. CONSIDERING THAT I’M DEFINITELY NOT A HIGHLY RELIGIOUS PERSON, THIS SHOW HAS GIVEN ME INSIGHTS AS TO HOW CHILDREN IN THIS DAY AND AGE SHOULD AND CAN BE DEALT WITH ON A DAILY BASIS WITH THE CRAZINESS THAT THEY AND WE DEAL WITH ON A REGULAR DAY. I DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT TO BEAT A DEAD HORSE SO TO SPEAK BUT I TRULY LOVE THIS SHOW AND ALL THAT IT CAN TEACH TO THOSE WHO WATCH AND THAT ARE WILLING TO OPEN THEIR MINDS TO WHAT THE POSSIBILITY OF BELEIVING IN GOD CAN BRING TO ALL OF US.
