Day Break: Taye Diggs Series to Return January 29th
After pulling Day Break from the ABC primetime schedule in December, the network said that it would release the remaining seven episodes online. Fans were shocked by the cancellation and then enraged when the episodes didn’t appear on the ABC website (reportedly due to online music rights issues). Then, to add fuel to the fire, the Day Break page was removed for the network site. Last week, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPhearson announced that the remaining episodes would be released by late February at the latest. It now appears Day Break fans finally have a pleasant surprise.
ABC has now said that the previously aired episodes, as well as three new episodes will be streamed from ABC.com starting January 29th. A new episode will then be posted each Monday afterwards until all 13 episodes in the series have been released online. The series finale will be available on February 19th. It’s unclear if older episodes will be pulled as the new ones are made available (as NBC did with Kidnapped).
If, for whatever reason, you can’t view these Day Break episodes online and/or you’d like to see Detective Hopper’s story continue past the single season of Day Break, stop by our online petition and sign it. We’ll be sending it off to the network, production companies and Taye Diggs soon. Stay tuned!

Are you crazy? I barely watch TV, and happen to catch the premier. Then its pulled, thanks for reminding me why I don’t watch TV. ABC has truly upset me.
Horrible!!!

Thats good I guess but watching it online in a 6 in screen still is unacceptable

Pulling Daybreak was a huge blunder by ABC. DayBreak and 24 are in a league of their own. Years ahead of any other shows I have seen recently.
You might think it would be hard to follow or redundant, but it isn’t. It’s awesome. At times my mind has to catch up, but I think this is an extremely well written and executed series with lots of twists.
I am excited that ABC atleast put it BACK on their site. I heard rumor Bravo bought the rights to the show. I hope they will finish, and continue Daybreak as this is a totally captivating series.
You blew it ABC.

Pulling a show mid-season is plaing wrong. Better wait for the whole season to air and download it afterwards if it gets aired.

For those of us who were hooked on
daybreak from the git-go (and miss ‘the Nine’ as well)…give us a break…does it occur to any of you that many of us, if not all, don’t want to sit in front of our computer screens watching the remaining 7 shows? Put Daybreak back in on Friday, where you are rerunning ‘Grey’s’….hsve you ever heard of video recorders or TiVo?
When you make promises such as ‘13 uninterupted episodes’, what does that mean to you? That’s rhetorical since you showed us exactly what it means…nothing…Your winter schedule is a disaster and I know it’s going to be changed again soon…so why bother getting involved at all?

I can’t believe DayBreak is gone. This is the only TV Show that my husband and I watched together. I TiVoed it. I would have never known about this cancellation if I didn’t come online to find out why was I not seeing the new epiosodes. I have so many unanswered questions. I wanted to see so much more. I didn’t think this show would have been pulled. That was a BIG Mistake. I love you Taye Diggs and I pray that this show comes back on TV. Such a disapointment.

For those of you that are angry because this streaming is only available in the US, keep in mind that you can always torrent the episodes after they aired anyway.

Day Break will be back online 1/29 including the old issues and a new episode will be posted each week. Go to ABC.com and search for Day Break to get the details.

I agree with Chester H. “Day Break” had me hooked from day one. Most other new shows seem to take 2-3 weeks before you get interested, if at all, but “Day Break” delivered from the very first episode. Please bring it back. You have a winner there!

It seems that everytime that I like a new show they cancel it. Starting with Invasion,Vanished, Surface and now Daybreak. Let a show finish it’s season before you axe it!

I was really surprised and angry, I finally find something good to watch on TV and they cancell it. What a BUMMER!!!!

i loved daybreak, and rfused to take phone calls when the show aired, it had so many twist and turns you had to give it your undivided attention. I personally went online and wrote ABC letter to let them know they need to stop worrying about who wasnt watching and show some loyalty to those of us who were watching….. did change anything, but made me feel better.

Who is stupid enough to cancel Daybreak when we’re not done watching it? Hello?! Does Hopper ever get past that day??? Silly to start the show then leave us hanging. Bring it back!

FINALLY!!! With every great show there must be an end. Thank God it’s back!

I agree with the earlier post - somebody from the network should be fired. The show was intense, and out of the box. It was fun watching while it lasted, i hope someday it comes out on a bootleg DVD - the network deserves nothing for what it put us viewers through. J.

I still can’t believe ABC cancelled ‘Day Break’. I wondered what happened to it. I don’t know who deceided this, they must be crazy! Didn’t ‘Day Break’ have any kind of ratings? They had to be high, because it was a fabulous show. I hope all the actors realize this! Please put this show back on the air! Thank you!!

I loved daybreak please bring it back!

Daybreak was a great show and I can’t believe the network would leave us all hanging like that. I think the show could have great success if given the opportunity. Please bring daybreak back and at least give the fans a proper ending to a potentially great show.

There is nothing I can say that hasn’t been said EXCEPT…I will not be sucked into any NEW PILOTS on ABC! Cancelling Day Break BEFORE the plot was exposed was just TOO frustrating. I will think twice before I do that again! It was one terrific series and I just cannot imagine who in the world thought differently. It was one of the VERY FEW T.V. programs that did not bore me silly with stupid dialogue and an equally stupid story line. I hope they release all of the episodes so I can rehash at least some of them…just to refresh my memory.
