October Road: ABC Cancels Bryan Greenberg Series, No Season Three
Word has come down that, after a less-than-impressive sophomore year in the ratings, ABC has decided to cancel October Road.
The news has been suspected for some time and was cinched by the network’s interest in the U.S. version of Life on Mars. Boston Legal’s creator, David E. Kelley, owns the rights to do a Mars series in the states. He had been committed to write and executive produce the series for ABC but recently decided to bow out. As a result, ABC execs have been hot to sign Road creators Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, and Scott Rosenberg to the new series. They’ve now closed the deal and sealed Road’s fate.
ABC had attempted to find another home for Road but were unsuccessful in finding a buyer.
All 19 produced episodes of October Road have aired. The series finale aired on March 10th but unfortunately didn’t offer viewers any closure. Will we ever know the identity of Sam’s father? Stay tuned!

Why do they have all the reality shows were some are realy dumb.Then they cancel the shows with great stories.I was really unhappy. Icould not believe it.They should use it for a fill in for the summer reruns when thers nothing on!!!!!!!!

Another big mistake by ABC October Road wasn’t given a fair chance-it needs another season to prove itself and gain more viewers Everyone that stayed with it throughout its short run is very disappointed about its cancellation. Give it another chance ABC you won’t be disappointed

At least there will be a 15 minute finale on the season 2 dvd when it comes out. It is said to go 7 years forward. Hopefully it will answer most of our questions…

For the second time one of my favorit shows has been cancelled. I loved October Road and Men In Trees. Something different on tv rather than all reality!! This was a great FAMILY show! I realy hope you re-consider putting this show back on. To many questions left un-answered! Please re-think this and put it back on for your loyal viewers.

AGAIN, I am disappointed that ABC has cancelled this show for the second time! I hope another network will pick up the series and gain the 4.7 million viewers that ABC seems not too worried about! Go back to real television and put good storyline shows on the tv and get rid of all this reality junk that people are tired of seeing.

This it totally wrong!! It was a great show. Wow I guess in order to keep a show, you have to have a lot of violence or a reality show. Don’t get me wrong I’m for reality shows but to have a show that was enjoyable. Thanks a lot! bring it back and listen to the viewers!!

abc is so stupid canceling such a great show they deserve the worst ratings. so all of us bloggers should do everything we can to get their new shows canceled and then maybe they will listen,and put the road back on the air and not give in to the head honchos at abc or at the parent company of disney maybe we all should boycott disney properties.

I was also very disappointed. This was a great show to watch. This was the kind of show that I feel more people would start watching. It had a great story line and had you waiting for the next episode. Hopefully enough people will write in and have it put back on.

This is a quality show with deep characters, strong writing, believable and engaging plots, and great music. Please bring back October Road!
