Coach!
In this light-hearted sitcom, Hayden Fox (Craig T. Nelson) is the coach of the fictional Division I-A college football team, the Minnesota State University Screaming Eagles. He’s assisted by the dim-witted Luther Van Dam (Jerry Van Dyke) and Michael “Dauber” Daubinski (Bill Fagerbakke). He juggles his job with his single-father responsibilities to teenage daughter Kelly (Clare Carey) and his relationship with TV news anchor Christine Armstrong (Shelley Fabares). Hayden’s boss is Director Howard Burleigh (Kenneth Kimmins) who, along with his wife Shirley (Georgia Engel), are close friends with the Hayden and Christine. Other series characters include Hayden’s ex-wife (Lenore Kasdorf ), Christine’s mom Mildred (Nanette Fabray), and Orlando Breakers team owner Doris Sherman (Katherine Helmond).
