Six Feet Under
After the unexpected death of his father, Nathaniel Samuel “Nate” Fisher Jr. (Peter Krause) reluctantly becomes a partner in the family’s funeral business, Fisher & Sons Funeral Home, with his gay brother David (Michael C. Hall). Others in the family include mother Ruth (Frances Conroy), sister Claire (Lauren Ambrose), Nate’s girlfriend Brenda Chenowith (Rachel Griffiths), and David’s boyfriend Keith Charles (Mathew St. Patrick). The drama deals with typical relationship issues but is unique for its treatment of the subject of death. Each episode begins with a death that sets the tone for the rest of the episode.
