Set 78 years after the adventures seen in the original Star Trek, this series follows the adventures of the crew of the newest and much larger USS Enterprise. Diplomatic Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) commands this starship which carried over 2,000 people comprised of crewmembers and their families. Prominent shipmates include First Officer William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), android operations officer Data (Brent Spiner), empathic counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), blind chief engineer Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Klingon chief of security Worf (Michael Dorn), chief medical officer Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Beverly’s genius son Wesley (Wil Wheaton), and mysterious bartender Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg).
