The Electric Company
An entertaining educational program that uses sketch comedy to help elementary-school children develop their reading skills. Regular characters include The Blue Beetle, Jennifer of the Jungle, J. Arthur Crank, Pandora, Millie the Helper, Easy Reader, and private-eye Fargo North, Decoder. The series was developed by Children’s Television Workshop which also produces the popular Sesame Street series for preschoolers.
