I can’t belive that George Lopez is being cancelled… it is THE only sitcom that my family watches together where we are actually laughing… I know the decision is most likely final, but if there is to be any reconsideration… PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!

I can’t believe George Lopez is being canceled. It was one of my favorite shows. I preferred to almost all the other shows. If the shows ratings dropped it’s only because all the changes to the time slot. ABC should do at the very least do one more show so that the cast can say goodbye to each other and to the audience. I personally think another season would be great.

Why can’t another network, like CBS,Fox,NBC just put George Lopez on it’s network.

The show done alright in the ratings especially up agains’t the nonsense big hit wannabee American Idol manufactured pop rubbish.

ABC doesn’t control it do they if they cancel the show,i’m sure who ever picked it up it would beat that other network usual poor new Sit Com show.

Why cancel a great show? According to Jim is one of the funniest television series on air. I don’t get why ABC and other networks keep showing dramas, and reality shows, like there aren’t enough reality t.v. shows on the air anyway. Pleaes God take them away! I look forward to Wednesday nights when I watch According to Jim with my family. The show makes me laugh nonstop. Why not keep these funny shows on air? They shine a little light on a world that is all ready filled with enough drama.

I cannot believe The George Lopez show is being cancelled! All his shows were absolutely funny, even had real life lessons. It was the water cooler talk the next day at work! It is one of the few great sitcoms left since reality TV is taking over….bad choice to cancel the George Lopez show. If ABC is willing to let go, I really hope another network picks it up.

What can we do to save According to Jim? There are so many stories to be told. The girls start to date, Andy finds a girlfriend/fiance, family reunion, a vacation filmed on location, more Dan Ackroyd. In this world where everything is either a drama or realty tv we need more shows like “Jim.” Do not let good sitcoms die. Viewing audiences should be bigger now that it is syndication. plus if the network would keep it at the same time, and it was unfare the way it was treated as a midseason replacement. the least you can do is make a quality spinoff so we can see these characters from time to time. Long live Jim!!!

TOO MANY REALITY SHOWS ALREADY EXIST AND DUMB ONES TOO. THE GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW WAS FUNNY AN MANY HISPANICS CAN RELATE TO THE SHOW. THATS WHAT MADE THE SHOW SO POPULAR. SHAME ON U ABC. UR RATINGS WILL DROP.

  26. Samson said,

    May 18th, 2007 at 4:41 am

George Lopez show and According To Jim were the only real funny sit coms in the air today.

2 And Half Men would be the only other ok show left along with Scrubs while My Name Is Earl and How i Meet Your Mother would never have lasted in the 90s but are average, but better then most.

I can’t believe how people watch this reality shows,i sometimes think it’s a scam these ratings to keep these cheap produced shows, none of my friends i know or people i talk to watch them, they either on the web, playing some computer game or watch rerun cable shows.

The sitcoms were great to watch when Sit Coms were supreme in the 1980s and 1990s but today the last 3 great ones are gone,George Lopez,According To Jim and The king Of Queens after following previous year Yes Dear,Still Standing and That 70 Show.

The sad thing the new Sit Coms are weak, they hire actors who are not stand up comedian who are not funny and looks so fake and no nothing about timing.

The writers writting a sitcom for these networks today write a show for a TV actor/Actress out of a job because they a signed to them but they have no clue in Comedy, like George Lopez and others who did stand up for many many years who had lots of material.

  28. Tiffany said,

    May 18th, 2007 at 7:25 am

Wow, I can’t believe they canceled What About Brian! The first season shouldn’t even count as a season, since it was only about 5 episodes long. And then they hook us with another season, only to drop us after we’ve gotten to know and enjoy all the characters. Great, thanks a heap. ABC sucks. To go with October Road over the fascinating complexity of Six Degrees just shows that no one at the network can make a decent decision. I like October Road, but it’s no Six Degrees. They really dropped the ball on that one. When they put it on hiatus, they killed it completely. The airing of one more episode, without even advertising it, wasn’t even trying to get it to work again. Come on. And clearly they’re going to lose many loyal fans by canceling George Lopez (although I’ve never seen that show). Soon there isn’t even going to be a reason to watch network TV. I hope all the people responsible for these idiotic decisions lose their jobs and have to become deodorant-efficiency testers, sniffing armpits all day.

  32. Glen Davies said,

    May 18th, 2007 at 11:46 am

Please pass this along to all those who can keep Jim on the air.

I can’t say enough about how great this show and its cast are. I know that there have been talks to cancel it then rumors that it is negotiations to stay on. Please keep it. In today’s network society where everything is drama, tragedy, game shows and reality shows, it’s nice to have a show like this. The topics/show itself is easy to relate to. (Especially says I am alot like Jim) It seems like sitcoms are a dyeing breed. This is the best sitcom on television.

After a long day, it’s nice to sit down and laugh a little. According to Jim is family fun and everyone can watch together. I like Jim Belushi’s approach to the morals of the show when writing. The show is very reminiscent of the Honeymooners or I love Lucy. I would have hated to live with the fact that I canceled those shows.

There are so many stories to be told. the writers are terrific. Let’s see them continue with the girls beginning to date, Cheryl getting a job, or Andy getting married. I really enjoyed the episode with Dan Ackroyd, bring him back. (Make a Blues brothers reference) What about bringing Michael Keaton in for one show? I would like to see the family go on vacation and shoot it on site. It would be great in a “Vacation” sort of way.

I believe that this season has caught the attention of several who have never watched it. Once you’ve watched, your hooked. No one who I’ve talked with has anything negative to say about the show. It really seems to be getting a bigger viewership than what you know. At least see how the syndicated reruns affect the viewership of the first run shows.

There are so many reasons to keep it. Please let it continue.

    Has somebody lost their mind?
I only have a few shows I watch regularly, American Idol, The Simpsons, WWE Wrestling, any music related program, and anything comedy related that can keep my attention. I watched My Wife and Kids a lot, they got rid of Bernie Mac which my friend pointed out, but I was reminded of George Lopez when I had my t.v. on the other day, so I stopped to watch an entire episode, and yes that show is hilarious! I also watched his entire HBO special which had me laughing hard in some parts! I feel bad I don’t watch it more often, but I really enjoy that show. I am a white girl, but yes you have to think about the minorities that get to watch those type of shows that they can say hey I know exactly what they are talking about, or yeah that sure is funny, because they need their own programming too! You never see anything with Asians either which is starting to make me mad.
Please bring back George Lopez you people are nuts just look at all the people that want his show back!

I am so sick of the big networks cancelling excellent shows and leaving us hanging. It`s getting to the point where we as fans have to ask ourselves, Why even bother? I for one am not going to watch any new shows this year on any of the “Big 3″, they are just going to let me down anyway. This way I save myself the disappointment. There are PLENTY of channels out there in cableland and i`m sure I will find something else to watch in primetime. If any of you out there ever watched Six Feet Under on HBO you will know what I mean when I say “Now THAT was closure.” Props to HBO for not leaving your fans hanging!!!

I can’t believe that the George Lopez Show and According to Jim are being cancelled. I grew up in the 1980’s and sitcoms were what my sisters and I waited for, especially the “Friday Night Line up”. That was our night to sit in front of the TV laughing with our parents. For many years, there were no good sitcoms to watch … at least none that were as funny as the ones when I was a kid, until I watched George Lopez and According to Jim. These two shows get me laughing the way I did when I was younger, PLUS they teach you life lessons. There are way too many reality shows & out-there-dramas that are not suitable for children on TV. We need some good family-oriented sitcoms for families to sit down and watch together. Please reconsider cancelling these two wonderful shows.

Remember ‘Babylon Five’? They had a five year plan. You knew exactly when it was going to end. More shows should be planned this way. There are very few shows that ever come to a conclusion. Movies come to a conclusion and there is very little hue and cry about that fact. Networks should consider their viewers more, instead of willy-nilly cancelling series. I know, BUCKS.

    Dear ABC

If you are reading this, Read this message. You shouldn’t had cancelled George Lopez because it was a fantastic show. It was funny and interesting. I know it did not recieve it’s good ratings because you thought it could compete with American Idol. BIG Mistake. You should have switched the show on thurdays instead of Tuesdays. This is you fault because you cancelled a great show. I don’t know what you guys were thinking but I think you wanted to cancelled this show because this show has alot of Mexicans acting. I understand a show needs good ratings but if a show was playing for six years and the ratings were not good since it was playing on the same time of American Idol you should have change the schedule. THis show was educated for kids and a good comedy show. Please put back the show.

I dont know why all you people are saying “bring back [show here]!!!”. It’s not like it’s doing to do a lot of good. A gripe is understandable, but demands to a network who couldn’t care to read an individual viewer’s comments won’t do you people a lot of good.

This is terrible man! The Knights of Prosperity was actually different. Not about a family with three kids and a stupid fat dad just like every other sitcom. Knights was supposed to be corny and over the top, and it was just great. I have not been so upset since the last episode of arrested development. Hopfully all 13 episodes will make it to DVD if they decide to release it. Untill they do, I always have my “I want you to join the knights” poster and my Sofia Vergara desktop wallpaper.(she’s hot!)

Now I know why ABC Television Network has spent so many years at the bottom. They have canceled good television shows like What About Brian, According to Jim, and The George Lopez show. But yet they keep so many shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos, Boston Legal, and Dancing with the Stars. How many times can you show someone getting hit in the crotch before enough, enough? I guess I like so many others will have to find some other network to watch.

I got interested in Six Degrees and thought it was a great show. Unfortunately it was released on the Already Been Cancelled (ABC) network. They do this every year and I’m done with them. A friend told me about Traveller. It sounds like a good premise for a better network like FOX. Maybe it won’t be cancelled but I won’t be watching it to find out.

I can’t believe What About Brian is being cancelled. I was able to watch the shows on ABC.com and fell in love with it. I really wish ABC would bring it back. I don’t think there are very many sitcoms that are for the 20 somethings. I feel like all the sitcoms right now are for the teens or families. Please please bring What About Brian back!

The GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW is a laugh out loud comedy depicting latino’s as hard working law abiding citizens. Its not a silly novela all in spanish, but rather a real look at latinos in and American Society. ABC…dont let it go!!!

taking off George Lopez will be your biiggest mistake of your entire career!!!! your ratings will so grounded, coffee will look at you and go DAMN! bring the George Lopez show back, or sufer the inevitable consequences that will befall against you. Mr. lopez is an incredible person and his show is leving proof that hispanics can have great sitcoms too. he is the funniest comedian out there now, and my hero, dont take something almost every hispanic holds dear and near to their hearts, you will be killing millions….you have been told.

idk how u guys can cancel a great show like george lopez how can u expect them 2 compete against American Idol more people watch that then they vote for president!! I think that you guys just wanted to get rid of it becuz u knew it would do well if u changed the schedule and u didnt want it to because it was the ONLY mexican based comedy show that was also good for letting kids watch and not worrying about covering their eyes or ears u should take into consideration wat would do good if u gave it a chance and wether wat ur doing wont drop ur ratings cuz i watched that show more than american idol bcuz american idol is for people lookin for an easy way in2 showbiz so yea…. and if u read other peoples comments on this u’ll c that others agree

I can’t believe that What about Brian was cancelled! If TPTB would have left the show alone in the time slot instead of play hide and seek with it, more folks would have been able to watch had they known what night and time it was on. What lain brain decided that? I can see why ABC is in last place.. They keep AFHV that has run it’s course and should have been canceled after they dropped Bob Sagget. They keep the Mind numbing Wife Swap and Super Nanny. They replaced a quality show for two mind numbing crap shows. That kind of a insult to peoples intelligence.

I am soooo disappointed that “What About Brian” is canceled. I cannot believe I looked forward to new episodes since the last show in March allllll summer to only find out its not returning!!
That is a huge mistake on ABC’s part. it really caught a lot of audiences… it really needed a longer chance to grab a larger audience… it was on late Monday nights and I don’t think it was given the chance it deserves… I mean who really cares about freakin the bachelor and survivor!! this was a new clean fun drama… it grabbed a variety of audiences- WTF!!!

also, why was that show Injustice ever canceled, what, too controversial?? what about Invasion??!! but we keep Judge Judy on instead of Montel in the early afternoon… or replace Judge Brown instead of Entertainment Tonight!!!

its all gone to hell!!! and I already DVR so many shows as it is… I’m not even going to try to bother w/ this new garbage….

I think it was a well kept secret. If it had been advertised more or not been opposite Monday night football for 1/2 the season, it might have had a chance. I am extremely disappointed with ABC’s decision. I, like others am sick to death of this crappy “reality” tv that is really not reality. Bring back WAB!!!!

Not to sound redundant, but …
I can’t believe ABC is cancelling What About Brian and According to Jim.

There is so much CR*P on network TV these days - especially the new fal season. I’ve been looking for these 2 shows and find out you’ve canceled them. I’m seriously considering getting cable and giving up on network all together.

These 2 shows were a great comedy and a great drama. According to Jim was a great show to watch with the entire family. Now there is nothing - I won’t let my 8 year old watch any so-called sitcoms.

What About Brian was fresh, a little real, a little over the top, funny and something to look forward to.

When great shows get canceled, it just encourages viewers to not even “get hooked” on a new show because chances are theyl’ll be gone.

Of course, we can all try to “get hooked” on the CR*P - they always seem to get renewed. But why waste the time when there’s cable!

you kno what? screw ABC for cancelling George Lopez. They have no idea of the huge mistake they’ve just done. that show has been one of the most popular shows in recent years, largely because of the Hispanic following. that Cavemen show is not going to last and soon ABC might have to pull a UPN and stop their operations. cancelling shows like these for pathetic reality shows and a show with absolutely no point to it shows the selfishness of these people working for ABC. George Lopez, this is coming from someone who truly appreciates your work and wishes you all the best in your career. you are one of the greatest comedians to have ever been in our homes. thanks for 5 great years on network TV. as for those working in ABC, you can just go to hell.

How can ABC cancel George Lopez? They cut a series that is doing well yet they wanted to continue Bewitched when it was failing. Nice work, ABC.
