The Prisoner
After resigning his position as an agent for the British government, “Number Six” (Patrick McGoohan) is kidnapped.
He is imprisoned in a small and isolated seaside town known only as the Village. A castle stands in the middle of a clearing and is used as both a hospital and an interrogation center.
Number Six’s captors repeatedly try to break his will and to learn why he resigned his position. Though his frequent attempts to escape fail, Number Six is successful at thwarting his captors’ attempts to brainwash him.
With the help of his sole ally, the Butler (Angelo Muscat), Number Six works to learn which side his captors work for and the identity of the mysterious “Number One” who runs the town.
