What in the Blue Blazes……I can remember a time that TV Execs would give a TV show a chance and the viewer would really fall for a show / actor group……now we can expect to have a new show (usually great ones) snagged before they can even get enough to have re-runs ????

Wow. Without a doubt – CONVICTION! A younger generations Law & Order. It’s too bad, NBC should reconsider. If it’s about a time slot. Well, here’s a thought… “Maybe” NBC can – Oh, I don’t know replace — The Apprentice: Donald Trump show. No Offense Mr. Trump, but the applicant’s on your show one way or another will land a job – after all they are college graduates. Why not just leave the air time to those who have actually chose a career in the entertainment field. My personal opinion… I could careless if a contestant is hired to work for you. How would that benefit me? NBC – Please, “Conviction” was indeed one of your Greatest Shows Ever!

yeah seriously was a great show although some episodes were much stronger than others this show was a breath of fresh air from the hundred cop melodramas on television. The acting was outstanding. It was a great spring show and NBC is making a mistake by cancelling it. On another note FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is the best thing to hit TV since The sopranos People check this drama out, even females will really love this incredible drama. This show along with Kyle chandler ought to win emmy awards

How in the world could you put all your eggs in one basket with a show like Studio 60…that is the biggest disappointment of the season for me and cancel a wonderful show like Conviction?

Who’s in charge over there 4 years old with an attention span of a 2 year old? GET A CLUE!!!

You better order up 20 more episodes of Medium to fill some empty slots and bring back Conviction to fill the other ones.

How about a suspense or msytery show that ISN”T a series? Something like the old “Thriller” or “Outer Limits”?

The problem with NBC is that they completely disregard women viewers. “Family” programming is geared to children and “evening” programming is directed at men. All they show is sports and “reality” shows with scantilly clothed models and lots of female “victims”.

NBC has one good program ….”Medium” which they have decided to eliminate in favor of MORE FOOTBALL untill the season ends in January.

For now I am mostly watching CBS. I guess “Ghost Whisperer” is pretty good viewing…perhaps by January I will have found something to watch on Sunday nights. Not EVERYONE likes Football or T&A!

Half of the television audience is WOMEN…Why doesn’t NBC have anything on that we want to watch!

The bright people at NBC that cancelled Conviction should be put on trial, and face the legal eagles of Conviction. Obviously, by canceling the show they were trying to inflict cruel and unusual punishment on the American viewers.

In the same light, I think the authorities at ABC should be impeached. Commander and Chief was the next West Wing. Obviously, they (ABC) must be getting the same advice as President Bush, faulty-poorly thought out- and just plain dump.

This show really got my attention and NBC will regret not giving it a chance. Deal or No Deal is picked up but not Conviction?? No wonder NBC is way behind the other networks.

I am really disappointed in the canceling of the tv show, “Medium” starrring Patricia Arquette and other talented actors.

It seems to me that all that is on TV anymore are just for the 25 to 30 years old or younger or the yucky millions of reality shows.

I myself and alot of other friends of mine no longer are going to watch the junk you have replaced decent shows with. Lynn Cunningham and I am really angry.

Conviction was a rare find. Even though it was joining other “cop” shows, it truly sucked you in and you were hooked before you knew it. You seriously should think about listening to the fans and bringing that show back. It was great writing and acting of some truly “fresh” faces. Huge, huge disappointment.

I agree that CONVICTION was a great show with loads of potential. By having young, good looking actors, it had a chance at drawing a younger audience into the television world of legal dramas. Many younger people don’t relate as well to the more mature cast of Law and Order, but this was a nice alternative. I found myself excited to see each episode and I am truly disappointed at NBC’s decision to pull the plug. I hope that they might reconsider and bring it back mid-season for another go and hopefully in a better time slot.

I hate the fact that NBC cancelled Conviction before it even got the chance to blossom. I mean – 10pm on Friday? They didn’t even really give them a chance. They should have aired it earlier in the week,thendecided if it should be cancelled or not. And if so they could have at least ENDED it instead of leaving it hanging wide open. Conviction wasn’t given a fair shake. Those NBC boneheads should have hung onto it for one more season, and they should have put in a different time slot.

I know this. I won’t be watching television anymore except for sports and news. There’s no point in getting interested in prime time shows anymore. They cancel them after just a few episodes. Then they (networks) cancel them after a season leaving you hanging because they don’t finsh them. That irritates me to no end. Now I know why people are watching “cable”. Goodbye TV.

Being that I don’t watch much television, feeling that it just isn’t worth my time for the most part, I was very pleasantly surprised when four TV Shows were recently introduced:

SURFACE

INVASION

LOST

COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

It’s funny, I actually thought that perhaps the Television Networks had been improving upon their Executive-CEO-type-decisions, but now I hear that two of those four shows have now been cancelled.

AH-HUM, Let me guess, they were too expensive to produce, and the writer’s out-did themselves on the First Seasons, and had nothing left for any following Seasons, or it was just more bad decision making, of the Head Honcho’s, who more-than-likely, got their job based on who they knew, and NOT what they know about the business, etc.

Oh well, I suppose that I shall soon stop watching TV again, altogether, except for the occasional re-runs of some of my favorite shows of yesteryear, that have also gone by the way-side.

TV SHOW QUESTION OF THE NEXT MILLENIUM:

Why, exactly, can’t older shows be brought back, with a new and modern twist, that include MANY of the original actors, and whatever Newbies are needed. Like….

STAR TREK: “The New Crew”

Star Fleet needs to REALLY get tactical in ways they never dreamed of before, because the threat of the BORG has never been more immenient, especially with other Species like the Romulans, or those even more dangerous than the Borg, from yet another Galaxy unheard of, always trying to rid the Alpha Quandrant of Star Fleet Influence, better advancing their own selfish motivations for domination.

This new STAR TREK episode, could be one of developing technically-superior tactical weapson, ship-armour, weapons, and strategies of beating out the enemy, along with finding new alliances, with the efforts reaching out to further employ, anyone and everyone still alive during this emergence of ALL the Star Treks, except “Enterprise,” into this new one show, for anyone interested.

I, myself, would love to see Captain Picard, Worf, Data, Jordi, Deana, William, Captain Janeway, Chakotay, Tuvok, Belana, Seven-of-Nine, Tom, Harry, and of course that extremely sarcastic and witty Emergency Doctor, not too mention anyone else from the Original Star Trek, or Deep Space Nine — all getting back together, to carry on Gene Roddenbury’s Star Trek LEGACY, that is as much for the FANS as it is for the HUGE RATINGS!
