I don’t get these cancelations. Great shows like “shark” and “dead like me” are canceled because they are aired during shows that are watched by the general public. News flash!! the general public are quality deprived retards that just watch reality shows because they can related to the retards that they are watching.
Voting via other means would be a large step forward in the evolution of the network executives making them finally able to stand erect and grow ears.
Bring back the great shows and listen to the fan base!! not the ratings!
The ratings are manipulated by the time slots that the shows are in…making it an unfair rating to begin with. Look at how well the DVD’s sell. Maybe that’s a better indicator. The real fans will buy the dvd’s.
O,, p.s. if you want to stop illegal downloads? Stop with airing reruns and edit out all the commercials. I would like to watch more than 2 min between 30 min blocks of commercials.

Why would you cancel a show as GREAT as SHARK? Everyone that I have mentioned the cancelling of Shark, agrees that C.B.S. does not know what programs to keep and which ones to cancel. WHY??? Why couldn’t you leave time original time slot alone. It obviously was working or bring it down to prime time. But when you change it no one really knew about it. Thank God for Tivo. Please reconsider. Even the video stores have sold out of the DVD series, BRING IT BACK…PLEASE!!!!!

I agree with so much as to what hotbot said in his spot. The network needs to survey its fan base to see what it wants, not a bunch of reality shows (who cares). I can not say what I would like to say because it might blush one your secertaries or admin’s. You people are crazy. Bring back the good shows and take all of this reality crap off of the air.

Cane and The Unit, please. Please bring them back. Brothers and Sisters too.
These are my favorite shows and I have hundreds of friends who agree. I have missed Cane and the Unit so badly that I stayed up ladt nite to watch an episode of The Unit that I have watched so many times I know the script. My entire family, children, brothers, sisters, neighbors, co-woirkers, it’s insane. People love these shows. Please bring us a full season of great new episodes in the fall. Thank you.

What is going on with all CSI, Ghost Whisper and the Womans club. I’m a big fan of all the mention shows, but I have not see any new episodes.

Editor: They haven’t been cancelled but, because the writers are on strike, show production has shut down. Hopefully the strike will be resolved soon so that new episodes can be made.

How could you just cancel CLOSE TO HOME???? THAT’S A BAD OPTION! THat was one of my favourite shows. My mom and I enjoyed that show a lot! Somehow, sometimes I learn from that show…don’t know why.. It’s better to delete Survivor, Two and a half man. Those shows sucks!

I agree with most… The Class was one of the best shows I have watched. I was crushed when it did not return. I personally can NOT get into the Big Bang Theory or Rules of Engagement. I hated to see “Close to Home” was canceled. It was a great show and by far way better than that ridiculous show “Moonlight” That is just pure garbage! You had some real good shows such as “JAG” but you have steadily been going downhill since.

I can’t believe The Class was cancelled. I have been waiting all summer for the second season to start only to find out it was cancelled. I’m so glad I kept all of the episodes( from the pilot-on) on my DVR. At least I can watch one season any time I want. It’s a shame a show like that wasn’t given the opportunity to grow its ratings and yet there are so many shows that are not worth watching that continue on for years. CBS really blew it this time. This was your chance to have the success likened to Friends. Bring the show back!!!!!

What really happened with Close to Home – - was it simply not sexy or dirty enough for the big wigs at CBS. There are still a lot of people around who enjoy a show for the story or the stars, and they don’t need to be half dressed, or hopping from bed to bed with co stars. Between the game shows and the “realty” shows, there really isn’t much left for people to watch. Good thing those remote controls last a long time!!!!!

Just found out today, Jericho has been cancelled!What a shock i watched every show and i find out today Oct.4th,2007 show is cancelled omg i think all you execs. at CBS should really sit down and seriously talk about putting Jericho back on the air. The line up was perfect with the exception of old Christine!
The Class has a wonderful cast and it’s premise made you think about classmates from grade school (something everybody thinks about at some point)The Comedy was spot on and the characters were great!!

I was disappointed that you are getting rid of Close to home and Jericho. These are two of my favorite shows along with Ghost Whisperer. I am so sick of the reality TV that I don’t even watch Survivor anymore. Bring back real TV and put Jericho and Close to Home back on.

I agree with Laura. “The Big Bang Bore” is more like it. CBS replaces “The Class” with a lame show. I tried to watch it, but couldn’t take very much. Can’t believe that The Class has been canceled. I thought that would surely be coming back. I know so many people that will be very disappointed…. myself included. Bad call CBS. Bad call on George Lopez too.
How can you tell by the ratings what shows are popular anyways…. everyone tivos! Not sure who’s making the calls at CBS but they’re the ones that need to go!!!! With what’s left… it surely is C-BS.

Closer to Home was one of the clean drama shows a family could watch and Jericho at least made sense.
Why would CBS drop these and keep a weird show like Ghost Whispher and a dance show that dresses with so little on it show be R rated. I would be ashamed to watch it the way they are dressed. I hadn’t watched The Class but sounds like a lot of people liked that show too. Jerico was the most talked about show on TV. It was even mentioned on the news shows as being the show most people were waiting on to see come back on. CBS you blew it once again. I can rent DVD’s cheaper monthly than I can pay for rental for TV cable. I can get news on internet, I don’t want to get intrested in any more shows and have them snatched out from under me with out them ending.

I am really disappointed that the Class has been canceled. It was one of the shows that I was really looking forward to this Fall. The show was fresh and funny with a fantastic cast. The plug was pulled just as everyone was hitting their strides. The show is far better than Rules of Engagement. There are some good actors on Rules, but overall, it’s a real snore with few true laughs or desire to really care about the characters. If given the choice between the two, I’m afraid that CBS picked the wrong show. Sad…

I am completely saddened and outraged that CBS would cancel a quality work of art which is “Close to Home”. I stumbled upon this show after Ghost Whisperer last September 06 and have been wowed by Jennifer Finnigan’s Oscar-caliber performances! She has got to be the finest actress on current network television. When I watched my first episode of Close to Home, Jennifer’s acting seemed to be on “par” and reminiscent of a young Jody Foster in the “Accused” and “Silence of the Lambs”! And I am compelled to say, perhaps even BETTER than Jodi Foster! I hope and pray that Close to Home gets a breath of “life support” from CBS execs the way in which “Jericho” has.

What was CBS thinking? 1 season was not enough to get the fan base for The Class. I truly believe that it would have lasted for many more seasons if they just gave it a chance. I can’t believe you cancelled Jericho, you really wanted to dump it, you found any means to cancell it to put on junk, we all know we live in a world that anything can happen in this case it is a great possibility it can happen. you only put it back on because the viewers uproar that it was cancelled, and you found what ever means possible to dump it, shame on you, as far as we are concerned, your network sucks big time

i can not believe that cbs cancelled close to home and the class how ironic the two shows that I love to watch on cbs are now gone ,I PROBABLY WILL WATCH any channel now except for cbs , you really made a big mistake with myself and many of my friends as we now go to another channel, we will not miss cbs for all the mistakes u make .

i hate cbs! mondays are usually the worst day of the week, but i always looked forward to the line-up on cbs. and of all the shows on tv The Class was my favorite! i only waatched the other shows because there was nothing else on. i watched it faithfully week after week with my mom and couldn’t wait for the second season! they really f***ed up this time! i hope that aanother station adopts The Class and it becomes the hit its meant to be. then CBS can watch and kick thetmselves in the head while they fall apart.

I was not surprised to find the Close to Home cancellation info. They trashed the show in the second season when they took out the human element. Killed her husband and traded believable lawyers for NY City slicks. Made it too impersonal to call it ‘close to home’. Loved the first season though. almost never watched the second. Pay attention CBS!

Ok, so CBS wised up and brought Jerico back… took them long enough. Now they need to bring back The Class. They have an opportunity with this show to have one with the magnitude of Friends and they took it off the air. Remember, Friends had a slow start as well and look where they turned up!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE CLASS!!! If networks keep doing this to their fans and putting out more and more realty crap then everyone is just going to start renting movies and watching cable channels instead of the main 4 networks.

What was CBS thinking when they decided to cancel Close To Home?? Jennifer Finnigan is outstanding and David James Elliott was just lured back to TV!!! Kimberly Elise was a joy to watch – except while being shot, but every season has to end with a shock so we will watch next season… But now you leave us with . . . nothing?

I’m ready to give up on CBS drama’s because they give you a chance to become invested, then they cancel them. Close To Home, Smith, 3lbs, Jericho – anyone?

I just have to say that while I watched the whole monday night line up, I have every episode of the Class on my dvr. I LOVED this show and was one of the only reasons to turn on the TV. Bad call CBS.

Even though I didn’t watch the entire season of the class, doesn’t mean that I didn’t like the series. I watched the last 7 episodes and the pilot. The pilot rocked. I liked the last 7 episodes too. You should’ve given The Class a second season. Very disappointed.

The Class was good because the characters were good and it was not given a fair shake. How can you run a show for one season and make a decsion based on ratings that did not get a chance to grow. Why can’t you run the new shows on late night or weekend afternoon to develope a following. Seems you put out all of this money to promote and create a new show and then just throw it away. I am sure the sponsors are so proud.
