With the NBC upfronts coming on Monday, rumors are flying fast and furiously about which shows will renewed and which will be cut from the peacock network’s schedule.
NBC is still fine-tuning their schedule but execs in charge of returning series were reportedly notified yesterday. As reported yesterday, Friday Night Lights will be returning for a sophomore season. Other shows that have already been renewed include The Office, Heroes, Las Vegas, My Name is Earl, Law & Order: SVU, Medium and Deal or No Deal. ER will almost certainly return as well. Expensive sitcom Scrubs will be picked up for an 18 episode final season.
On the cancellation side, it looks like Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Crossing Jordan and The Black Donnellys are all headed for the TV graveyard.
The fate of Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent are still up I the air. If NBC passes on the original L&O, there’s a good chance that TNT (which airs the reruns) may pick it up for another year, albeit with an even tighter budget.
We’ll have the full details on the NBC schedule and cancellations on Monday. Stay tuned!

PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING SHOWS ON! CROSSING JORDAN, MEDIUM, LAW AND ORDER(ALL) AND CLOSE TO HOME!!!
REAL PEOPLE DON’T DO THOSE STUPID THINGS ON THE REDICULOUS REALITY SHOWS. THOSE SHOWS ARE JUST GARBAGE. KEEP IT “REAL” WITH “REAL” SHOWS WITH “REAL” QUALITY STORIES AND ACTORS!!
KEEP THE NONSENSE OFF AND GIVE US REAL ENTERTAINMENT AGAIN!
WE ARE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT “CROSSING JORDAN HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
CAN THEY EVER BRING IT BACK? IF NOT, WILL JILL HENNESSEY CHOOSE ANOTHER HIGH QUALITY SHOW AS “CROSSING JORDAN”. SHE HAS A FANTASTIC STYLE AND PERSONALITY AND THAT CAME THROUGH ON THAT SHOW BIG TIME!HOPE WE GET AN ANSWER-PLEASE!!!
I’m also tired of all these reality shows. In the old days, one could look forward to story lines and not what freak is going to eat some bug, whose sleeping with whom and all the other cr*p people do for attention in these reality shows.
I love ER and since TNT picked it up, I’ve been able to see all the old episodes I’ve missed. I hope they don’t get cancelled.
Survivor, along with most of what’s on MTV can go. There is no skill to make a reality show. They even have reality shows on hairdressers. No talent required what-so-ever.
Tsk tsk.
I think it is wrong to take crossing jordan and law and ored all of them off the air those are the only show I waqtch. Most of the time I don’t care for T.V. But to take off the show that I do watch there wont be any need to have a television set in my house.
I wholeheartedly agree wtih Colleen… axe all of those lame, so-called “reality” shows and keep shows with thought provoking scripts, deep characters and overall smart, honest programming.
I’m absolutely sick that CJ seems to be going away… and almost as sick that Studio 60 is axed… I LOVE those shows!
Now there’s no real reason flip over to NBC now… not in my house.
Why don’t you cancell all those ridiculous reality shows.
Enough already, especially survivor and everything else. Keep Crossing Jordan and bring back Studio 60 Kidnapped. Keep Las Vegas and Close to Home–Love James Elliot. Loved him on JAG
I happen to LOVE ER!!! I have been watching since 1994 so why would I stop? What a waste the last 13 yrs would have been!! And it is ABOUT time John Stamos got some attention!!
Another year of ER? Uggg.
When will they shoot that lame horse?
That show has jumpped more sharks than all of the Jaws movies put together.
