Why do the keep all of these reality shows that are just garbage. The unusals was a good show and i don’t know why they have to cancel shows that have only had less than a full season. And many of you are very right they never premoted it that well i actually only know about this show because of a site called hulu.com where you can watch shows from all networks. I never even knew it was an ABC show which shows they really did not do much to help it. ABC only has like two or three good shows right now any way so i don’t see what it would have hurt them to let some of the shows they developed last year mature and have a chance for the public to fall in love with.

I don’t find many shows to watch on network… that’s why i was disappointed when The Unusals were cancelled. I loved the quirky characters and if given time, like the shows on USA, the sories get better and the characters work well together and become more believeable. Please bring it back!

Why in the world would I allow myself to get hooked on any more abc shows when the network has proven that anything I like will be taken off the air, without notice. I LOVED Eli Stone and many others before it, but I’m boycotting any new shows from abc. I don’t have the time or energy to get invested in another and have it cancelled on a whim. Seems like the network needs to adjust show expenses and expectations for first year performance to coincide with “reality” no pun intended.

I really wish the networks would stop insulting our intelligence with all the f*ck!ng “reality” shows and actually produce something of quality. Oddly enough that seems to be the first shows that get cancelled. Has this country become so dumbed-down that this is what tv has come to?

Eli Stone, The Unusuals, Life on Mars, Pushing Daisies, all had unique qualities not seen anywhere else. I don’t really buy into the ratings the they supposedly were not getting.

This is why I find myself more and more NOT watching ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX and more often watching stuff from discovery/syfy.

First i lose mid season Scrubs only to have a free season that is the end then i find out that im loosing both THE UNIT and BOSTON LEGAL and later MY NAME IS EARL. I think its a shame that Samantha Who and Cupid are gone. Both great shows. I never make it a point to comment about shows. I usually just move on, but these I would love to see again. I wish they would at least make it an online series. Something to think about.

I can’t believe you’re cancelling Homeland Security USA…people need to know what these men and women deal with on a daily basis. American what is wrong with us when we’d rather watch a show like Wipe Out and I Survived a Japanese Game Show? I’m also disappointed that you decided to get rid of Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, and last years Big Shots…they were GREAT SHOWS!
Bring HS USA back American needs to see what goes on…you didn’t even scratch the surface of the death, sadness and despair that the Dept of Homeland sees. You didn’t even get to show an ounce of the degree of difficulty that posed to these men and women protecting our borders. Reconsider!

I HATE REALITY TV!!!! It is ruining TV – no brains, just idiots looking for attention. I wish the network would see how wonderful these non-reality shows are and stop thinking about money all the time. It would make for much better TV.

Which I believe we really need considering what our economy is in right now. Please do not cancel these shows. Every single character in Samantha Who is hilarious. How many friggin seasons of the Bachelor and Bachelorette can you haveee before people stop watching it. Ridiculous. I’m very glad they didn’t cancel Castle. I literally tuned on ABC all of the beginning of this year for Castle mondays, Cupid tuesdays and The Unusual wednesdays!!! but blah! whatever! and i like the fact that they kept brothers and sisters!

The Unusuals was a fabulous show – great, offbeat sense of humors, compelling characters, unexpected scenarios, imaginative writing and a great team of actors who worked beautifully together to create an atmosphere that was full of whackiness but also emotionally real. I just loved watching it all spring, and even found myself rearranging my life so as not to miss an episode. I’m so disappointed that it was canceled. I think the show wasn’t advertised properly, so most people didn’t know about it. Therefore it didn’t really even have a chance to reach the big prime-time audience ABC officials were hoping it would. I think this show is more than worth investing in for a second season. In my opinion, it was the single best thing ABC had to offer.

Please save the Unusuals. It was one of the best shows on this past season. All the characters were great – truly unusual – and the show never failed to make me laugh.

I hope the powers that be pay attention to what the viewers think and give this show a decent chance to get an audience.

Unfortuneately the “networks” go by Neilsen ratings which have never been a true indicator of what the public has wanted. If you ever seen, as I have, the people who participate in the studies it’s NOT what they watched or recorded or viewed at a later date on another medium. The whole Neilsen system is antiquated but still used regardless, the poor networks are being duped into beleieving that Neilsen numbers are what people are actually watching,.They have no idea what really happens, just blindly go by the numbers given to them by Neilsen. DVR, DVD, Internet streaming are not included in Neilsens ratings and people more than ever aren’t sitting down in front of their TV’s at home as they did back in the 80’s.

OK… MANY OF THE DECISIONS THAT ABC MADE WERE CORRECT. BUT THEY MADE ONE DRASTIC MISTAKE IN CANCELLING THE NEW SHOW, CUPID. I LOVED THIS SERIES. IT WAS BEYOND GOOD. THERE WAS SO MUCH DRAMA, PASSION, AND CURIOUSITY TO THIS STORYLINE. I LOVED ALL OF THE ACTORS WHO PLAYED THE CHARACTERS, I THINK THEY DID AN AWESOME JOB. I WATCHED CUPID SINCE ITS SEASON PREMIERE AND I WAS HOPING TO WATCH MORE OF THIS SHOW, BUT IT WAS CANCELLED. ABC SHOULD HAVE NEVER PULLED THE PLUG ON THIS SHOW. I have never posted a comment on the internet about a TV show, but I happened to be looking for info about when Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money would begin airing again and read that they are probably going to be cancelled. I am so bummed. I recorded them on my DVR faithfully every week and loved the characters and the storylines. I thought the shows were fantastic, the writing brilliant and will miss them dearly. Especially Eli Stone. It was refreshing to watch a show about the presence of a higher being and how He could change the world. Better than some of the crap that is on TV..like reality shows, dancing shows, cop shows, killing and violence. Please don’t cancel them ABC.

Pushing Daisies was a creative and refreshing change! The cast was terrific, the dialogues delightful, the sets incredibly beautiful – It was charming and innovative and as so often happens, it went unappreciated – I frequently wonder who makes the decisions to cancel shows – certainly not anyone with taste – there are many trivial reality shows, redundant crime shows, etc.. Why do they ‘kill’ this? – Money is always the reason…unfortunately crime and gossip sell – sad reflection on our culture. I also agree with an earlier comment – they didn’t try too hard to promote this series either. I had no idea there was an episode aired this weekend.

That’s been my point all along here, the more good shows you take off and you’ll be left with nothing. I’m watching Pushing Daisies currently but I wouldn’t have known it was even on if I was surfing through the channels. There was never even an add about this episode being on tonight, it’s about 10:30PM where I am so I have missed about half the show. Who knows perhaps even Dirty Sexy Money could have been on earlier. God ABC, what’s your problem anyway? I’m hoping that I haven’t been missing these episodes for more than tonight, it’s not fair to do to fans of these shows. Now whilst there was no ads here where I am I don’t know if anyone else got the memo on this.

I am very disappointed at the canceling of Cupid, The Unusuals, and Pushing Daiseys.

I admit that i missed about half of the episodes, but I contend that it would have been much easier and interesting to watch should the network have kept them at a regular schedule and on a weekly basis. It is very difficult to become invested in a show that airs for 2 weeks switches time slots then takes a 2 week hiatus! I am begining to avoid watching shows because I know they will just get canceled.

Cupid is well acted with a fresh storyline. No cops, no scifi murder investigations and no sleaze. Beyond the long running story line, each episode of cupid can be watched by anyone even if they haven’t seen another episode, they will enjoy it because it concludes and yet continues.

The Unusuals is a refreshing change from the gore and technicality of other cop shows. the dry humor kept me coming back for more. Again, stop moving the schedule around!

And finally pushing daisies…. my mom actually made a weekly point of tuning into this show… that is an event for the papers!

my last point is that I am also an avid Grey’s Anatomy Fan. Yet, I did not start watching until the middle of season two when an episode followed the super bowl.

Give these shows more time… make them into summer shows when they arent competeing with other series, why waste money on Wipeout or these ridiculous animated sitcoms?

Dancing with the Stars is about the only good show that ABC has. These networks should know that there are intelligent people out there wanting shows that don’t insult their intelligence and without extreme gore and violence. Thanks goodness we have the Discovery Channel, two PBS channels that provide programming for intelligent people but we still need some good entertainment programs. We, I think, are the silent MAJORITY that seem to be getting lost in the process because we aren’t out there yelling and screaming.

Maybe the Unusuals was a good show, but after refusing to renew Life On Mars, I refused to watch its replacement, as a mild protest, and so did alot of other people from what Ive read online. Cmon ABC, quit cancelling good shows, and leaving us with more Dancing With the Stars, I Survived a Japanese Game Show(you’ve got to be kidding me!), Dating in the Dark?, etc…yeah, this is what everyone wants, more reality shows! NOT!! Life On Mars was such a great show, and needs to be brought back to life(no pun intended!). You had killer soundtrack music from the 70’s, great actors and actresses, a great storyline, but yet, you pull it for 3 months, and then put it onafter Lost! That time slot was the kiss of death! BRING BACK LIFE ON MARS!!

The Unusuals was a great show with a great cast that played off of each other well. The first cop show in a long time I could tolerate and then it gets cancelled, definitely a bad move ABC

Bring back The Unusuals – quirky, funny and original!! How could they keep Better Off Ted (which I tried to watch twice and found extremely unfunny both times) and cancel The Unusuals? What a mistake!!!!

I think it is ridiculous that ABC canceled The Unusuals! I really enjoyed it. The show is much better then NBC’s Southland!

I definitely agree with katie. Those were my favorite shows too. And they were both just getting so good. The anonymous posters just before me made a good point too. I’m usually not home when my favorites are on, so I watch them online. And they’re are many more like us who do that. Maybe ABC should take that into account before letting a good show go. ABC should also pay attention to these posts and other posts on their website who love these shows. So many people I know loved Pushing Daisies and Samantha Who? They provided a refreshing dose of endorphins after a long work day.

I cannot believe Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money is cancelled. ABC is making a big mistake. Those are the 2 shows that my husband and I both agree to watch.. FOR THE FUTURE…..PLEASE DON’t CANCEL GREYS and Private Practice
