I have been on a marithon of NBC’s “LIFE” series on HULU. This is my second time through the shows. I still can not believe that they cancelled this!! What? FOR JAY LENO? Number one reason why I refuse to watch Jay!! He really screwed up NBC’s weeknight shows with his arogant demand for a 10pm time slot! If it were not for MEDIUM being produced by CBS studios, would it still exsist? I think not. Another great show that would of went in the crapper. Instead, it was picked up by CBS. How many ppl even noticed it changed networks? Jay ticks me off… keep wondering what he is BRIBING the exec’s at NBC with to get all he has got! First he took the place of Carson over Letterman that had been promised the show FOREVER! NBC then lost Letterman to CBS as a consequence. …Then later, he bumps out all of NBC’s 10:00 line up for his own crap show that BOMBED.. then stole back the late show from Conan; and again.. NBC lost Conan from their network as a consequence and it cost the network over $30 million to Conan!
Other shows that were effected cause of the “Leno Project” that I recall were LIP STICK JUNGLE!! and BIONIC WOMAN !! I know there are more, but those are the ones that effected me. I still have them on the DVR to record…sigh… guess I should delete them eh? Again, what does Leno have on NBC to have the power to screw over so many? His show SUX!!

WHY????? Why do you ONLY care about the YUPPPPY GROUPY TYPE VIEWERS???? Why do you pay out such BIG BUCKS to “stupid people” that keep voting off more of the “FAMILY” type viewing and keeps insisting on the stupid “REALITY TYPE” and “SICK HUMOR” shows??? What ever happened to good old “FAMILY” type viewing (even throwing in a western would be cool again etc…)!!! Dr. Quinn, Gun Smoke, Wagon Train, etc. I’m not saying go back to them, get with it and get some good family ones going like them. Medium was good, Ghost Whisperer was/is really good. Loved ER, and some of the newer Medical shows. Law and Order SUV, and some of the newer ones like that are good to watch. GAME Shows like Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, Lets Make A Deal, Price Is Right etc. are really fun to watch. Getting really really sick with all your “hiphop, how stupid can you get” stuff. And wish with all my heart you’d get rid of some of the “language and actions” before 11:00 shows (YES, JAY THAT INCLUDES YOU TOO AT 10:00). GET BACK TO FAMILY AND STAY WITH IT MORE!!!! The ONLY message were sending our youth is “how really stupid can you get and what can you do to out do it, And by the way, ANYTHING YOU DO IS OKAY”!!!

Will really, really, miss LIFE… The stations should, at a minimum, prepare final episodes for devoted fans that become interested in their story lines. Kind of makes you want to give up TV for movies… At least they have an end and some closure.

Best of LUCK to the actors on the series, they did a superb job. You will be missed.

So NBC cancelled “Medium”. A huge, hearty harrumph! Why am I not surprised. “Medium” is a truly wonderful series about a husband and wife and really love each other and their kids. The wife happens to be a medium and works for the DA’s office. And the casting and the stories are the best. But what should I expect from the network that cancelled “Star Trek”?? I’m off to CBS to watch “Medium”. Thank Heavens CBS still knows a good program when it sees one.

Sorry to say I was not a big fan of NBC till they began to show My Name Is Earl.It was the only pass time for me at that hour.Plus the actors they use are the best for that series.I for one think there are too many reality shows on tv.Please someone stop the non-sence.I had a glance at Medium and was good.It had a good story line from what I saw.Also I don’t know if Chuck is out or not but that show was good to watch while I was resting.If NBC doesn’t bring back Earl I hope that Fox does pick it up.I’d gladly switch to see it.

First of all Knight Rider was a cool story, everyone wishes they had that car. They should of kept the show just for that reason. Then they go and cancel Life which im pretty sure was the best show they had. Its just wrong I really wish Knight Rider had at least 3 full seasons and Life at least 5. I had been eagerly looking forward to the fall season of Life. I was shocked and disgusted that NBC canceled it. Life was one of the few T.V. shows that was interestingly written, had a great cast and was a good mix of story-line and character development. It challenged me to think about what I was watching and note how the plot and characters built upon previous episodes to give us more insights. The last season finale was extremely well done, emotionally satisfying and thought -provoking. No offense to Jay Leno, but I won’t be watching him instead of Life. If NBC shows any sense, the network will bring back Life in January. If not, there are plenty of other networks and cable outlets that offer good shows to watch.

Life, Kings, both absolutely great shows that should have never been cancelled. Another one they did this to was the Black Donnelly’s. A great show that was cancelled with only one or two episodes left in the season. NBC should seriously consider redoing it’s management of their tv execs and bring on people that actually know what the public wants, not what they think we want.

Why do TV execs do this? I know they need to make money so they need hit shows and advertisements, but why don’t they wait till a season is over and then figure it out? I love The Listener! I think NBC in particular cancels shows too quick, which is why they struggle with hits. CBS tends to wait a little longer, which is why at least 5 of the top 10 shows are on CBS. Everything darn thing is on CBS and Fox. NBC needs to realize it takes more than 6 episodes to grab viewers, especially over summer. I really can’t believe they took The Listener off. What are they thinking? Its the same way they canceled Journeyman! I was so upset. I am totally done with NBC, seriously!

I think it is wrong that you ended Crusoe, just because of the low ratings. Can’t anything stay on just because it is a good and moral show, without cussing and sex and nudity??? My boys are 8 and 10 and absolutely loved this show. We watched it as a family every Friday night. I think it is very sad that it was cancelled.

Contrary to popular belief, families do like wholesome shows that they can watch with their children. Why do we always have to overlook the swearing and nudity? It shouldn’t even be in shows today.

Someone should start a network with all the great cancelled shows: Life, Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, October Road, Earl (if Fox doesn’t snap him up), and the scores of other shows that I haven’t listed. I’m sick of reality shows, and celebrity shows, and shows with no substance or ideals. I want good guys and bad guys and lives they get tied up in pretty little bow at the end of the hour (or the end of 13 episodes – 14 if there was a good end of season cliff hanger). It’s so frustrating having great series and enjoying them in other countries and then just because ratings in the US are not satisfatory, shows are cancelled. I’m very sad to see the choices the network has made. There are tons of useless shows out there and you chose to get rid of two of the best your network ever had! I’ve watched Medium since it’s debut and all I can say is I’m glad CBS had the good sense to pick it up, I seem to be watching CBS for most everything now. Life was SUCH an excellent show, I wish you had left it alone and let people watch it! It felt like you were TRYING to set it up for it’s fall! Damien Lewis was FANTASTIC! I hope some other network reads these comments and goes digging for Life, I bet they’ll be rewarded.
I barely watched Leno on The Tonight Show, I can’t fathom having him in prime time now!

Try being original and kill those stupid reality shows…promote intelligence for once!

Of all the shows listed here that was cancelled by NBC the 2 that I enjoyed were actually new shows – Knight Rider and My Own Worst Enemy. Medium was ok I guess but it has had a few seasons at least to allow the show to evolve – Knight Rider I thought was awesome especially and I’m very disappointed it won’t be back for a 2nd season and that it was cut short. Jay Leno is a great guy and everything but if he didn’t want the Tonight Show anymore he should have retired instead of stealing a great deal of NBC’s prime time slots. The fall schedule is full of shows I’ll never watch. I guess NBC is just going to have to do without me as a viewer. Seems like NBC decided to go with all new shows practically and are going to lose the viewers who’ve been watching the shows they’ve always had.

I agree that most of those shows should have been canceled, especially Knight Rider and Kath and Kim, they were some of the worst TV I’ve seen in a while. But, Life and Medium? Seriously? NBC doesn’t have that many good shows on TV that they should get rid of two of their best ones. Life is especially good. As much as I like Jay Leno, I think it is stupid for them to have a nightly Leno show take up prime time space. Maybe they just shouldn’t have been so hasty to replace him with Conan on The Tonight Show, and they wouldn’t be making such an idiotic scheduling decision. I guess that I should at least be glad they didn’t cancel 30 Rock…

Medium is a great show. No wonder NBC is doing poorly — they cancel shows with good ratings, good writing, good acting, the most realistic family on TV. I’ll definitely TiVo it on CBS.

Life! Cancelled!? How could they!? Life was a fantastic show! Clever, witty, etc. I don’t know how they judge ratings because I know a ton of people who watch this show! Why do they keep getting rid of good stuff!? Stupid move NBC, STUPID!

I can’t believe they canceled life! If they would have just kept it in a time slot when viewers would know when to tune in, it would have had a consistent following. I just bought season 1 of Life on DVD and I love it! Such a good show, and well written too.

Well for once I have to agree witha network. Almost all of NBC’s cancellations are OK with me, especially Kath and Kim (what a waste). The only real disappointment will be LIFE. It was very good.

Life was a great show. NBC is really hitting bottom. The L&O’s are good and deserve to be renewed, but even they are getting long in the teeth. Chuck is a lot of fun to watch and thankfully will be renewed. The Life cancellation really gets me. What the heck were they thinking? At least there was some closure. I can’t stand another reality (yeah right) show. I have had it. These networks have to know by now people are sick of getting burned watching these scripted dramas only to have them canceled. Why invest the time to watch a good show, knowing the odds of it getting renewed are about 30%. One other good renewal was Friday Night Lights, well written, well acted and one of the best shows on TV right now. Oh, and I am pissed off about The Unit as well. Bunch of idiots at the networks.
