Why did you cancel the unit? It was a great show, and the only TV show that I watch besides new and SNL. Great godforsaken decision. I’m not alone, either. My firends loved that show, and so did my relaitves. And I know quite a few veterans and service men who enjoyed that show. You really should have thought it over before doing that.

Cancelling THE UNIT was NOT COOL! Very unprofessional. You have no idea how big a military fanbase you had. Some of my buddies not in service started watching it and it’s like they began to understand what we go through. I didnt buy all that “ratings” bullcrap of an excuse you had to give such an abrupt discharge. Sell it to another network. Us military vets were you’re hardcore fanbase and cancelling the show was as disappointing as a CE failure.. honestly

Cancelling “The Unit” was the DUMBEST THING idea to date. And glimpsing how the season finale would have turned out, you would think they would have the decency to give a soldier his final run let alone LISTEN TO VIEWER OPINION! Flashpoint and Accidentally on Purpose were great shows. I love the monday night line up until now. CSI Miami should have stayed on mondays. My husband and I picked mondays as our date night, which has been thrown off since CSI Miami is on sundays. We have nothing to watch at 10. No, we don’t care for Hawaii 5-0. Could fill gap with accidentally on purpose or flash point.

Ok, so CBS gets rid of its’ great shows and keep the awful, mind-numbing ones. Reality shows are really awful and I can’t believe anyone thinks they are actually real. Then there’s CSI: Miami! There is not 1 person on that show who can act! We watched it once, and will not watch it again. Shows like Three Rivers and Eleventh Hour, they cancel???? These are 2 shows that made you think! I’m sure Three Rivers opened alot of eyes and hearts to the importance of organ donors. My husband and I have gotten to the point we don’t watch the 3 major networks because if we like a show, it gets cancelled! Bring back the good shows, please.

I cannot believe the unit has been canceled. It’s nice to have military shows around with the war that is going on. My fiance is deployed and ‘the unit’ is the only military show that I continued to watch after he left. This is a slap in the face for military members. I can’t believe some of the shows that will have another season, but not the unit? wow.
Every Marine family/service member that I know watches the unit and I am overseas in Okinawa. So, you’re getting ratings from all around the world.
It sucks that we got cut off from this show without it having a proper ‘ending’. If you’re going to cancel, at least give us one more season to see how everything plays out or sell the show to another network. PLEASE.

Other shows in the past were cancelled and I didn’t say anything.
I do not think you should cancel Ghost Whispers. I watch the original from your company and I generally watch most of the re-runs on other nights.
If you aren’t going to run them, give ABC or NBC or other networks the ability to make up shows for it. You don’t have to make tons of money by selling it. Let the viewers watch what they want. Just how much money do you really need?

If it is not a reality show, it seems it has no chance on TV anymore. i think cbs is making a very big mistake cancelling the unit. they have already cancelled the agency and e-ring without any reason. cbs is the only network we watch but i am begining to get upset with there way of handling there programing. i know they could care less what one person thinks, but i have talked to a lot of people who are upset with some of the shows they are cancelling.

I could not believe that the Unit is gone! It is an awesome show. It just didn’t show back up on CBS. I was floored.
And Without a Trace was awesome, too. I like how they showed how you find missing persons. And it’s believable also. Sometimes they are found alive and some times not, but it’s real.
You can most certainly take off Medium. I can’t stand that whiny voice of that Arquette lady. The show is terrible.
And I agree with the other viewers. Too many reality shows. How many times can you go around the world and/or be stuck on some crummy island and back-stab your fellow “playmates”?
I can certainly hope that CBS is using the ratings as a scape-goat and the American viewers are NOT the reason these shows have been cancelled.
Oh, by the way, putting on a 5-year old (not so cute)boy that has died black hair was the worst idea CBS could have had for Ghost Whisperer. I just wonder, where is he when Melinda is out helping the ghosts and Daddy is at work? Not very realistic at all.
I loved the previous sesons of Ghost Whisperer. My 17 year old daughter was killed in a car accident and it helped me through alot of sadness. I cried at almost every episode.

@rodney: Almost all shows are cancelled because not enough people are watching them (or, in reality, watching the commercials). If a show doesn’t make enough money, the networks can’t justify paying to have new episodes made.

I set my DVR to The Unit and was EXTREMELY disappointed to find it was cancelled. I am retired military and tmy fellow service members and I thought is was the most realistic AND entertaining show on your program. We also watch the NCIS and CSI strings but were diehard “The Unit” watcher. You made a bad decision — a very bad decision! I hope another station picks it up because I will be there. TNT isn’t stupid on reality shows (which I totally dislike) so I hope that station picks up the show.

They axed The Unit and replaced it with what..Three Rivers, and now after just 1 season, axed again and I think will be replaced with another medical so-so drama? The Unit was one of the good shows. A lot were watching this show! Wish they’d return it, really missing a good show.

I cannot imagine why The Unit was cancelled. It wasn’t a stupid, non-sensical, unimaginative show. the show was great and although i was on the edge of the thought the army was the thing that came to mind mainly the rangers cause all i ever wanted to be was special ops it was and is still my wish and the show made everything feel real the show was so good the story line the twists it was all good. who evers idea it was to cancel the show made a big mistake and i think u should reconsider it cause for all its worth it came my dream alive and that means alot to me knowing that i might not be able to fulfill that dream.

I have missed Eleveth Hour terribly. It was one of the shows I just had to watch. All of the others are ok to cut, but I will be extremely dissappointed if Eleventh hour does not return. Besides, you cut it off in the middle of a two part episode.

Without a Trace will be missing…gone…left without a trace? What? That show was wonderful and almost as valuable as The Unit. The people who make these decisions are the ones who need to be canceled. They not only have no taste, no vision nor any idea of what quality TV is, they also have no heart. Those shows were FULL of quality AND heart…and television audiences have been robbed of some of the most important writing, production, action, acting and entertainment that have ever been packed into two one hour programs.
Here it is, a year later, and I’m still pissed about these two cancellations. Oh, I’ll get over it someday…and it’s good to know that Dennis Hayspert has a good gig with Allstate….seems like many a great artist has succumbed to the mighty network gods (with a small g) and became insurance salesmen/saleswomen in the end. And some of the other main actors in these series have had some good spots on other shows. But it still remains that the ‘suits’ at CBS and other networks haven’t learned squat about what important television is all about.

I’m still really bent about the cancelling of The Unit. It was one of the VERY few tv shows worth watching. Like others, my husband and I kept watching for the season opener, but sadly came to the conclusion that the idiots had cancelled it. I don’t think The Unit should have been canceled and no it is not only viewed by 55 year olds, I am only 44 and have been watching it since Season 1. The Nielson Ratings needs to get more comments from different age groups. If 9.67 Million viewers was not enough, there’s a problem somewhere. There was no other show like The Unit which not only gave us a look into “Special Forces”, but the drama that goes on behind the scenes with their families. I also liked Harpers Island. I am glad that CBS picked up Medium, they did something right. CBS could have done without The Big Bang Theory, The Adventures of New Christine, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement and Gary Unmarried. And please do not come out with another Forensic show.

It’s a real shame that The Unit was canceled….this was one of the most exciting TV series ever produced. The show had superb writing, acting, production, sound, effects, romance, humor, lots of hard work done by all the cast and crew…just tossed away? And for what?

Well, at least Dennis Hayspert (sp?) has a great gig with Allstate insurance ads…he’s smiling. But what about all the other great actors in the series? I hope they all get good gigs somewhere because that much collective talent should not want for work. I hope The Unit can be revived at some point, if not by CBS then whoever else might recognize a great piece of work and a group of high quality talent, in and behind the scenes.

I cannot believe The Unit was cancelled. I kept thinking maybe they were just late getting it back on the air. I couldn’t wait to see the next show every week. So sad to hear it was truly cancelled. Please bring it back this year, please, please, please!

My husband, Dad & I really liked “The Unit” & other than “Survivor” & the Olympic Coverage, we usually watch anything on the CBS network except CBS News Coverage.

Enough with Old or New Christine, 2 & 1/2 Men, The Good Wife, & some of the other “fluff-ball” stuff that should have gone by the way of the Dodo & put “The Unit” back on CBS – If “M*A*S*H” can make a record run because of the Military (active & retired) so can “The Unit”.

I certainly have missed Without a Trace. The stories were interesting and the casual peek
into the characters personal lives was in good taste and well done. The stories captured
my interest from the time you see the Person vanishing until whoever it was turned up,
either alive or sadly, deceased. What on earth prompted these execs to cancel it? Yes,
sometimes a show does lose a few viewers but given time they become better. If you
don’t like the viewer numbers, don’t cancel the show, fire the writers and find those
writers who are more skillful in creating plots.

THE UNIT … REALLY … it’s one of the few shows my husband will watch. It took me a while but I finally got him to sit down & watch an episode ( good thing I DVR’d it) because he wanted to see it from the beginning … every episode from then on we watched together … Now it’s over

PLEASE…..DONT CANCEL “THE UNIT”….pleaseeeeeeeeeeee…..this tv show is just awesome…..i speak for about at least 50 of my friends for sure….and i know am not the one….Just dont make that mistake…Its one of the best tv shows of its kind
