I don’t think The Unit should have been canceled and no it is not only viewed by 55 year olds, I am only 44 and have been watching it since Season 1. The Nielson Ratings needs to get more comments from different age groups. If 9.67 Million viewers was not enough, there’s a problem somewhere. There was no other show like The Unit which not only gave us a look into “Special Forces”, but the drama that goes on behind the scenes with their families. I also liked Harpers Island. I am glad that CBS picked up Medium, they did something right. CBS could have done without The Big Bang Theory, The Adventures of New Christine, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement and Gary Unmarried. And please do not come out with another Forensic show.

It’s a real shame that The Unit was canceled….this was one of the most exciting TV series ever produced. The show had superb writing, acting, production, sound, effects, romance, humor, lots of hard work done by all the cast and crew…just tossed away? And for what?

Well, at least Dennis Hayspert (sp?) has a great gig with Allstate insurance ads…he’s smiling. But what about all the other great actors in the series? I hope they all get good gigs somewhere because that much collective talent should not want for work. I hope The Unit can be revived at some point, if not by CBS then whoever else might recognize a great piece of work and a group of high quality talent, in and behind the scenes.

My husband, Dad & I really liked “The Unit” & other than “Survivor” & the Olympic Coverage, we usually watch anything on the CBS network except CBS News Coverage.

Enough with Old or New Christine, 2 & 1/2 Men, The Good Wife, & some of the other “fluff-ball” stuff that should have gone by the way of the Dodo & put “The Unit” back on CBS – If “M*A*S*H” can make a record run because of the Military (active & retired) so can “The Unit”.

I certainly have missed Without a Trace. The stories were interesting and the casual peek
into the characters personal lives was in good taste and well done. The stories captured
my interest from the time you see the Person vanishing until whoever it was turned up,
either alive or sadly, deceased. What on earth prompted these execs to cancel it? Yes,
sometimes a show does lose a few viewers but given time they become better. If you
don’t like the viewer numbers, don’t cancel the show, fire the writers and find those
writers who are more skillful in creating plots.

I can’t believe it! The Unit was one of the best shows out there and now it has been canceled. They should have atleast given them a chance to end the show properly in season five since the ratings were pretty good. Just to get into the age factor, I’m in my mid 20’s and not over 55 and really enjoyed the show.

The way scheduling is changed around you never even know something has been cancelled rather than moved to another day, time or station until you read something on the internet. The Unit, Without a Trace and Eleventh Hour were good entertainment. It was good to see a group of people on a program work together as a team as opposed to some of the “reality” tv which are always skulking, scheming and undermining each other. That is not entertainment; it is what we all have to go through daily in our jobs – and that is stressful. When I watch TV, I want to be taken away from what goes on in a life day to day and watch people doing good. I am very disappointed.

I miss “With Out A Trace” but my comment is about the fact that Networks will take High Rated, Much Loved shows and pitch them. I’ve heard so many excuses why. NONE of which makes much if any sense. We the Fans of these shows watch them, love them, faithfully follow them, can’t wait for next weeks shows and the new seasons to start, and then they pull them. No matter how many times we tell the Networks this, they don’t care, it falls on dead ears. Just like ABC Family with KYLE XY, it made the Network #1 for the first time ever and following a short decline in ratings after the writer’s strike (like many other top shows at that time) Fans were waiting for it’s return. ABC Family didn’t even advertise the start of the new season until shortly before it aired. Myself like many others thought it may have been canceled and we weren’t notified due to the long layover from the strike so it took awhile for all of us to find out and return to watching our favorite show. It has the largest Fan base “AROUND THE WORLD” with the most Petitions emails, and letters signed and sent to the Network, every head of the departments and other Networks asking them to pick it up, to this day but do you think ABC Family cares, or these others who have no good reason to cancel shows that they gave to us and will give to us in the future and then turn around and pull them? Obviously, not! I think it’s outrageous and sad that they really don’t care what the people like and want. }:-(

The UNIT was the best show about military life, and possible real warfare on tv. It was a show that both of my sisters and I loved to watch and looked forward to. We three are all ex-military women. The show was as real as it gets. The good shows get the Ax and the bul—- ones stay. Do you really think we people are brainless, alot of the shows that stay on play to the mind of a pea!!!!
Good writing, good actors, make for good tv. The greed for money is why cable and satelite services have are so big, and moved out network tv, it has loss the realreason people watch tv. TOO BAD.

I can’t believe CBS dropped The Unit. I’m really ticked. Thanks CBS, go ahead and put on another dark, legal/hospital, forensic show on at 10PM because I can’t find that plot on any other network….. The Unit was like watching a movie each week; the family part was decent enough but, the plots of their assignments etc. made for a great show. It was always on at a bad time. The delays because of sports etc. always messed it up as well.

I loved the show The Unit… It was my favorite show. I bought season one on DVD and I was hooked within the first episode and I now own all the seasons on DVD. Loved the Unit and the Eleventh Hour. Both shows were well written and acted. Good characters that one could identify with. Too expensive! Give us a break! I watch most of my shows on ABC, but would always switch over for these two. CBS just lost another household of viewers.

I LOVED the Unit! If it hadn’t been moved and then delayed each week on Sunday evening, it would have gotten better viewership. Earlier sporting events caused even DVR recordings to be of Cold Case Files or something rather than the Unit! Really think it had heart and will be missed.

I thought this was so well done. The characters were thoughtful and charismatic. The plots were tight and plausible. I thought it was a great complement to “24″. It also presented the military in a light which showed the sacrifice these people make for us. Instead of exemplifying the negative, it gave a good portrayal of how difficult some of these decisions are. We may not like these choices; but they have to be made.

As usual, CBS is making a big mistake cancelling The Unit. It is by far superior a drama than all of the multi- boring reality and news shows. The Unit was suspenseful and always left you wondering how they would escape this one r where would they go next. It was based on true missions and made you appreciate how tough the military life can be. CBS needs to reconsider this decision and bring The Unit back to its lineup.

In todays military its nice to know there is such a group of guys out there that go the extra mile.I know there are units similar as my neighbor was in special forces. They put so much garbadge on tv. Enough with the csi’s. How many do we need. lets see, las vegas, l.a. miami, new york , ncis, who am I missing. I think it’s a bunch of cheapa- – networks execs who keep forcing shortened seasons on all of us, who by the way are paying their bloated salaries!! Whatever happened to keeping the core audiance happy? I was dismayed that about 3-4 years ago these networks started doing 10 -12 episodes and then filled in the rest of the “next” season with crappy voyeristic shows called reality television!! It never ceases to astound me when shows that are thought provoking, well written and engender dedicated viewers are cancelled. The Unit, Without a Trace, The Good Wife and the Eleventh Hour are among the newest victims; when will the preferences of the viewers come first? Sporting events that continually change the viewing times of the scheduled shows don’t help. Sunday on CBS is a nightmare, esp. if you’ve chosen to record a show for later viewing. Where has the stability of yearly shows disappeared to? Shortened seasons, continual time changes and a lack of commitment to the shows by CBS execs force viewers to seek movie channels and networks whose schedules can be counted on. RETHINK these new positions! It’s the TV equivalent of corporate raiding – buy and then destroy!

Well no, the unit didn’t have bad ratings. For some stupid reason, the people in suits didn’t believe it’d be a good show.. I mean, the unit had almost 10 million viewers during season 4, 10 MILLION. seriously and they cancel it? Just pisses me off that they keep cancelling the good shows and keep running with crap. I mean seriously, both CSI NY and CSI miami sucks ass, was always crap. And they keep that running? I mean.. and NCIS LA? That’s just crap as well. NCIS is **** without Gibbs and DiNozzo. Oh well, back to not watching TV again I guess. I hope CBS has to close down shop, really wouldn’t miss them.

Although read it somewhere that its coming next year but not with the same actors. Sad to see that Eleventh Hour was cancelled.The show was alot different than all those cop and doctors shows out there.Very Sad!Thanks CBS.

I am very upest that CBS cancelled Without A Trace. I feel they made a very big mistake. I think Without A Trace is a better dectective show than Cold Case. Also I hope that ABC brings back Samatha Who.

I loved The Unit and Without a Trace. I am very disappointed.
