My boyfriend and I are addicted to 24 too. We are so sad that the show won’t air anymore. Keiffer Sutherland is an awesome actor I love him in this show. Please….please….please do not cancel this show, I love watching it every Monday. I know money is tight but please listen to the fans, we love this show so much! What would we be if we didn’t have 24? I am going to watch all the seasons and WAIT until the producers decide what to do. All the actors and actresses played on 24…ya’ll have done a fantastic job, as well as the producers. But please listen to me and the other fans, it would mean so much if you could come up with some more seasons. I am not ready to quit watching. I love 24….PLEASE bring it back!

My husband and I are addicted to 24. We are so very sad that this show is no longer going to air. Keiffer Sutherland is an awesome actor and the show is so intense. Please….please….please do not cancel this show. Money is always a factor but what about the fans? Now what do we do without 24? To Mr Keifer Sutherland and the producers of “24″..

Guys, it ‘s apparent by the comments from fans that you are making a very big mistake, 81% in favor of keeping the show going? That’s a big number!

In this dangerous world we live in, America needs “24″ because this show gives us a since of patriotism, a feeling of Pride, it makes us think and remember why our troops are fighting. There is no other TV show that has even comes close to “24″. Many have tried but failed. You guys have succeeded in keeping people glued every Monday night season after season for 8 years. Right NOW we need “24″ and you have the emails, letters, phone calls to prove that. Quitting now will let down millions of viewers.
You must reverse your decision to cancel.. How many emails and letters is it going to take?

Remember isn’t always about money, in this case I see it as for the greater good for Americans.

What are you thinking??? Ok so you slipped in the ratings a tiny bit.. Geez.. does that warrant the closing up the season? NO… my wife and I are and have been avid watchers for a very long time and I’m certain we’re not alone..

If you guys cancel this show, my family and hundreds of thousands of fans are going to be outraged and demanding that the show return.. If it’s protesters you need marching in front of the studio then so be it.. I will organize that..

Let me be the first to PROTEST that you guys are even thinking about canceling this show.

Jack /Keifer, if you happen to read this, PLEASE STOP THE MADNESS.. Americans need your show..

I have watched 24 from the first season. I have NEVER missed it. I make sure I am at home in time for it to come on and at times I will turn off my phone so I am not interrupted. I know I would go to the movies to watch a 24 movie on the big screen but that doesn’t mean that the show itself has to end. The drop in the ratings came during the writers strike and 12 million is still a very strong number. I know that this season will be there if not more. Kiefer is a great actor and he is the show. as long as he is able to do his part as Jack, let the show keep going. If you need a writer for the show, shoot, I will come on board. Anything to keep it on the air.

This is still the best program on TV. If Fox has any sense at all, they will renew it. It is still at the top of its game and is a major revenue getter for the network. Fox has the best news in the industry, it should keep the best, most intelligent drama series, as well.

No, No, No it just can’t be so. 24 is one of the best television series ever produced. Your format could be changed so not to have to do a full 24 hour shoot for the full day and give more individual story lines in a season and closures in the season. The writers and cast of the series are wonderful! There is never a dull moment – one is generally on the edge of their seat for the full hour.

I believe that any turn off for any lost audience is due to the commitment of a weekly series that you feel you simply can’t devote 24 hours to in a season. Change the name to CTU and do 60 minute story lines and I believe your viewer ratings will soar.

Good shows don’t come along very often…Great shows hardly ever! Keep 24 Going!

The concept behind serialized TV is so you’ll be sure to buy the DVDs when they’re released. I enjoy 24 but it seems they’re running out of ideas and the same situations happen from one season to another. Perhaps it’s time to retire the series while it’s still highly considered before having it go out on a dud season. Would I pay to see a 24 movie? Sure… but they’d have to change the title to “2″ if they want to keep the real time concept.

I like Miziki’s idea. Call it “24: The Worst Day of My Life” The first line of every episode will be “Two hours ago…” and will end with a heart-pounding cliff-hanger.
All the characters, good and bad guys, should be A-listers. One pivotal plot will be threats and real danger to Chloe. She and Jack are the only ones left. Here’s atwist: Dennis Haysbert (of seasons 1& 2) back as an Army general recruited by………………………………………………………….

Been a big fan of 24 since season 1, own all the DVD’s and regularly do 24 marathons, just kick back and watch the whole season back to back episodes…The only way to really watch it, it’s like a train wreck, everytime Jack solves one problem something else is right there to take its place, fast paced and full of action. Waiting week to week to watch tends to slow things down. Not really sure about this season 8, something seems missing, I find myself not caring if I miss an episode. Normally I HAD to watch it. I’ll wait for the season on DVD and then judge it. As far a a movie, it would be worth watching, but for us hard core fans, how do you fit 17 hours of action into 2?

Love 24, love the suspense, love the serial aspect of it, and the anticipation each week of a new adventure! A movie? Hmmm. It would be a one shot deal for a whole season? Not very appealing….loses the weekly suspense attractiveness.

Saw 24 for the first time last year with season 7. Was hooked. Went to Blockbuster and rented every single show starting with season 1. Can’t believe I never watched one before. Someone needs to do a little better marketing next time. I had no idea how good the show is, maybe it was the time slot….but I did not have any idea what it was about, and the ads did not catch my attention. However, after I watched one….I was hooked. Now you are talking of ending it???? What a shame.

I really have come to like Keifer Sutherland and his personna as Jack Bauer. He really does an outstanding job, and should win an Emmy, if he hasn’t already. I think the casting was incredibly good. Chloe, Bill, Tony, Michelle. ….and the story lines were awesome! Thanks for the fabulous entertainment. I hope it continues, and I am marking my calendar for the beginning of Season 8.

I told a friend of mine in November that I am looking forward to January, and it should be a super one this year, for two reasons:
Bowl Games, and the beginning of 24 Season 8! Nuff said.

I will NOT go see a 24 movie. I am a huge 24 fan, I own all the DVDs, including the awful Redemption. But I would rather see another season for two reasons:
1. A 2 hour movie will not be true to the 24 hour real time aspect that has been the center of the show forever!
2. It is clearly about money. The producers will want to get more profit by making a wide release movie.
I’m sorry but I will never pay to see a 24 movie.

I always scheduled my week around 24. I have I don’t know how many channels, & the only show I really looked forward to watching was 24. I REALLY hope it goes on. I really like the Bourne Identity, Supremecy & Ultimatem movies…I think if they kill the series they could do movies similar as Matt Damon’s – Jason Bourne movies. I know I would go pay to see them.

P.S. I heard “The Bourne Sanction” movie might be in the works.

But, I do think it is time for Jack to be a grandfather and to become National Security Advisor or Director of Homeland Security. Jack’d be a kick-a$$ Head of the Secret Service. Collaborate with David Baldacci and Tom Clancy on the finale and on the 24 movie. And, yeah! I’d pay to see it.

I’ve been a fan of the show since season 5 (I haven’t yet been able to afford to buy all the previous seasons) and have enjoyed all seasons except for season 7. Killing off CTU, James Morrison (Bill) and bringing Tony back from the dead just made it complete bull crap. I’ve a huge fan of 24, and Keifer… hell, 24 inspires my films… but season 7 was crap. I’ve got hopes that season 8 is better, and that all the lovable characters from season 6 come back (I’d love to see Cloe and her husband come back) and maybe even then bring Kim into it more. I’d like to see a more softer side of Jack.
As for a 24 movie… I’d pay to see it as long as its better than Redemption. I loved it, but it didn’t have that… movie feel. It felt like watching another TV Episode.

Promise me better than the last, and I’ll be happy. Lets get Kiefer to direct a few episodes eh? AND MORE ACTION!

24 is the best TV show ever! I started watching regularly in season 7. Of course, I didn’t know the show history and background, but I was so intrigued, I bought seasons 1-7 and the 24 Redemption 2-hour show. I have now watched the complete series and I can’t wait for season 8! PLEASE keep it going. I would definitely pay to see a 24 movie. I also plan to purchase season 8 as soon as it’s available. My co-workers heard me talking so much about the show (and Jack) that they started watching. During lunch, we have lively discussions about each episode! I believe the audience is growing now due to people like me who started watching late but recruited friends and family members to watch the greatest TV series ever! In today’s world of turmoil, it is refreshing to forget reality for one hour a week and count on Jack and CTU to keep us safe from all manners of danger.

24 is without a doubt the best show on tv. There should be a few more years left for the show. Season 7 was great, I hated to see Bill Buchanan get killed off though. If the show must end…Please bring back Audrey somehow into the story line. Keep the storyline fresh, and 24 would have no problem lasting several more years. In the end, it all boils down to money. Please keep 24 on as long as possible. Its a Top 20 series if you didnt know.

Romano, quit making this political. In 24 the characters are 100% sure that the person they’ve captured has set a weapon of mass destruction to go off within a few hours. That NEVER happens in real life so the question of whether terrorists like this have the right not to be tortured is irrelevant. Either say it should continue because it’s a great show or end because you think it has gone downhill. What administration is in the White House has NOTHING to do with it.

Wow, to think fox would discontinue 24 after it’s just really getting good. While a movie would be good it’s only for 1 night. The show keeps you in front of the TV several nights for the season. Fox keep 24 alive. Don’t lose Jack! Bring him back!

I believe that 24 has still a lot to give including financial rewards for Fox. As to the the Jack Bauer character it will be disastrous if it is faced out. The serious is considered to be a promotion for the Bush Administration tactics re how to counter terrorism. Since this Administration is trying to whip out all lnks to tourture to get info from terrorists there could be a change of heart from the big guys at Fox. So it is not only a financial decision. Just for the record torture is the best and most effective way to get info from terrorist. Keeping in mind that torture should not be used on regular people. But once a person becomes a terrorist he should loose all his human rights.

24 for me is da best TV series i’ve ever watch. they can continue the show wit old character like EDMUNDS CHASE.or maybe RENEE WALKER n JACK BAUER be retired by an award or something. Rather than Pulling da plug of the most captivating n thrillin Action show.we luv u jack.

i think 24 should have at least 2 more seasons after 8. if the story starts to get stale the writers could always do something different….like change the main character to someone else like renee walker or the new guy on season 8 cole ortiz played by freddie prinze jr. im not saying jack SHOULD be taken off cuz hes freakin awsome, but im just saying. i mean, how much does jack have to go through before he finally snaps? thats all im saying.

Retire Jack as a professor? I don’t think so! Concluding 24 will mean killing Jack off. That’s the kind of show it is. So think twice before you tell Fox that pulling the plug is ok!

As much as I love Jack Bauer, I think it’s time for him to move on. The show can’t go on forever. Give him one more season and maybe a mini episode ( less than 24 hours) and send him off in grand style (perhaps a peaceful retirement as a college professor or a corporate director of security)

Anything else would eleveate him to “comic book hero” status.

24 is a very good drama, but it can’t go on forever. Whether it’s one more season or two, it has to end at some point — and better it should end strong with a good plot that compares well to previous seasons. That said, no network ever wants to spend enough on good programming if it can help it; Fox’s desire to produce cheaper programs is totally in character for them. It’s a fatal flaw, but I don’t expect the Fox execs will ever see it that way. I’ll be happy to watch another season or two of Jack Bauer so long as the scripts stay good.
