24: Fox Says Sutherland “Overly Optimistic” about Movie

24 movieAfter reports of an uncertain future for the proposed 24 movie, actor Kiefer Sutherland recently said that the project was moving forward and he planned to start filming in about eight months. A publicist for 20th Century Fox says that the actor is being “overly optimistic.”

According to THR, the publicist also said that, “The project is still in development, with no director attached. All the other details have been reported.”

As fans of the show already know, a 24 movie script was written last year but it was rejected and that development put the project on hold. Howard Gordon, a writer and executive producer on the 24 TV series said that he’d heard director Tony Scott had an idea for the feature film and was planning to run it by Sutherland.

What do you think? Will the movie start filming this year or is Sutherland being “overly optimistic.”

This show must not end, we must come together to let the producers know how much we love this show. If anybody starts a petition please let me know. If Canada does not want the show, the U.S.A should pick it up. Ratings will never be a problem. We lost C.S.I Miami, let’s not lose another great show.
To ION or CBS. Pick up this show!!!!!!!!!

It would make an awesome movie. If they’ve cancelled the series it’s the least they could do for all the people that have watched this series for the past 8 years and supported their station.

At least end this awesome 8 year series with a movie. It would be a great movie and if they wont allow another series, it’s the least they can do for the people that support their station by watching it.
