To little surprise, ABC has cancelled 666 Park Avenue, their struggling Sunday night series. While the network will air all 13 episodes, there won’t be any after that. In addition, ABC also cancelled Last Resort today and CBS canned Partners.
666 Park Avenue follows a Midwest couple who’ve moved to New York City. They end up managing The Drake, a prestigious residential hotel that’s not as nice a building as it seems. The TV series features the talents of Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Dave Annable, Rachael Taylor, Robert Buckley, Mercedes Masöhn, Helena Mattsson, Samantha Logan, and Erik Palladino.
The show debuted on September 30th, in ABC’s troubled Sundays at 10pm timeslot. The premiere’s ratings weren’t very impressive, attracting a mediocre 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.9 million total viewers. That was 30% lower than what Pan Am had registered a year earlier.
Park Avenue’s numbers have gotten even worse since the debut. The coveted demographic dropped to a 1.7 rating in week two (down 19%) and a 1.5 rating in week three (down another 12%). The ratings perked up a bit in weeks four (a 1.7 rating) and five (a 1.6 rating) but dropped to a 1.2 rating last Sunday.
But, what do you think? Should ABC have cancelled 666 Park Avenue? Will you miss the show?

Yes, I will miss this show. I think you should reconsider and continue to air the show. This is a good and different kind of show that I love to death. Please, please, please reconsider. I have turned on 5 of my co-workers to look at it and now they love it also, only to be cancelled. No! No! No!
Not fair AT ALL. What about the millons of viewers like me who could ‘t wait for Sunday to come to watch the next episode?! It was an awesome tv show. So sad ABC seems not to care about their loyal viewers
Terrible decision to cancel the show; just when things were getting heated up. There’s so much junk on tv. This was the one show I looked forward to watching every Sunday night. Vanessa Williams will be missed.
My other half and I have enjoyed ths show very much. We record it so we can watch it at any time. We very much wish you would not cancel this show. It’s the only show with edge of your seat excitement.
I am very upset this show is being cancelled. We had a set time that a group of came together to watch it. Just when we get to the suspense and figure out Sasha…The Drake closed. I guess we will never know who checked out besides whoopi.
I likes 666 but you can’t pit a show against AMC’s Sunday night line up and expect big ratings.
My husband and I really enjoyed this show! I was so bummed when season 1 ended and was thinking how I could not wait to see what happens in season 2 and now it’s cancelled? You can’t do this to us!!! Being it back
really going to miss show. it had so much potential to grow into a even better show than it was. thought it had a very good story line within weekly story lines.
I wait all week long and stay up just to see this show. The actors are great and the writers are awesome. If anything it might be late but move it, don’t cancel it! Who makes these decisions? The network business or the fans who they want to watch???? I guess the fans will have to make the decisions what network to watch…
yep, this was the only abc show I watched, so now they lose another viewer. maybe get lucky and it gets picked up somewhere else
I have watched and I think 666 sucks. I had such high hopes. I was hoping to get into another spooky drama but it just didn’t meet my expectations.
I’m sad to see this show canceled……..Very good actor, scripts, and filming. Never liking the day/time slot we always played it from the computer to TV at a better day/time.
There’s so much garbage out there it’s not often I find a show I look forward to seeing each week. Oh well…….I’ll just get a good book.
I am so sad that this show is cancelled! And not even after finishing the series.. Now we are all left wondering. I have been excited for Sunday nights just because of this show. How can we bring it back??
Too bad this was a great show ABC should have given a different time slot to pick up the viewers rather than cancelling the show
IsA SHAME!!!!THE SHOW WAS GREAT! but the chanal must be people that do not think out of the box.I do not wach the chanal ABC anymore is caming so bore.and Ithink they are very disrespectful in canceled,
That is a real shame. This is entertainment at its best form. You kept coming back for more. Unlike reality t.v and predictable drama t.v. This show kept you guessing and wondering what is going to happen next. I think it should be given a second season on another time slot. Sundays are hard to compete with. Maybe a cable channel will pick it up hopefully, and when it has success on that channel ABC will be sorry.
