I was a big 90210 fan back in the day. The acting on the show was actually pretty good as a whole. While the show should have no problems finding storylines, the problem is the original 90210 is sort of a symbol of the 90's. In other words, it is an iconic show that appealed to teenagers and people in their 20's at the time. I believe it lasted nine or ten seasons. Anytime television or the movies, more or less try to remake a classic series, it gets compared to the original and is rarely, if ever good.

My buddies and I all had massive crushes on Jennie Garth and the interaction between Jason Priestley and Ian Zeiring was always priceless. Heck, the entire cast was great (with the exception of Tori Spelling who I was never a fan of as an actress). It is hard to imagine that a new cast will be accepted in the same way. I may be wrong since the first episode is yet to air (and I will give it a shot) but I see this show getting critically panned and fizzling out after a couple of seasons.

The show would be smart to find a way to consistently bring back characters from the old show until it finds its footing.

I hope the series manages to save The CW but does it really need saved, i mean teenagers will be out when adults are in watching TV and in my opinion don't hire Tori Spelling, i mean she only got the role in the original because Aaron Spelling was a relative. She has no talent (except for shooting out babie):P
