The numbers for later episodes fluctuated up and down — even occasionally outperforming the series premiere — but were never very strong. For the show’s final few episodes, CBS moved it into the 9pm timeslot but it didn’t do as well as previous timeslot occupant CSI: NY.

The last episode of the season (and series aired) on March 2nd and was Gifted Man’s best overall series performance, registering a 1.5 in the demo with 9.70 million total viewers. On our CBS Ratings Report Card, which measures the relaive success of shows on the network, A Gifted Man had a “D-” rating right from the start.

In Gifted Man’s former timeslot, CBS tried airing episodes of reality series Undercover Boss. It performed significantly better and cost much less to produce. Gifted Man’s fate had been sealed.

I love the show! I keep hoping that it will be brought back. You finally get a good series and it is canceled to leave room for some brain dead junk that the masses will watch. Whatever makes the dollar whether it’s any good or not.

An intelligent show that did not get a chance, the acting was strong as was the subject matter and made people aware of what low income medicine deals with on a daily basis and balanced science with spiritual. Too late to bring back?

I don’t think you gave the show enough time. I didn’t even see an ad or preview for the show. Saw all 16 episodes on Netflix in like 2 days. Loved the show and wished it was still on tv. Great cast great story line. Who puts a new show on Friday night and expects it to have great ratings in the first year. Come on CBS you know better than that…

this biwas the best show l have ever seen. I never saw it on tv, but came across it on netflix. I’m embarrassed to say i watch all the shows they filmed over and over again, at least twelve times each. I can’t beleive the amazing acting and story lines who can i write to. Im not ashamed to beg. what a huge mistake they made in cancelling it. from a disappointed and frustrated fan, joan means

Are you guys serios?!??? I am sick of series with vampires and werewolfs and all that stuff that it is soooo boring, and always trying to get the story different with origins from other countries but Romania… boring and not interesting.this was one of the series that actually made my weekends feel like actual worth time to spend on.just when it became more interesting you guys cut it off??!!! A series that gives you somehow hope that there is something more out there that life and death? That teaches you that no matter what life goes on??? That is a lesson…not getting bitten by a vampire and than become uberhot and mighty….that is bedtime story..this was actually part if real life….and real emotions….and ways that people deal with death and loss…..
