it is very sad that stories which reach to the basic struggles of human emotions and logic… relationships and relations… duty and responsibility… life, love, survival, and learning… that most of the stories that through fiction capture realistic ideals, have been cancelled… dismissed… (I’m refering to October Road and Men in Trees)… but at least Grey’s is still there…. so there’s a slight amount of hope… but still… wtf…. like ratings are real anyways… cause if the ratings system is how we got our next president, I think there’d be a lot of pissed off Americans… STUPID… STUPID…. How can you cancel Men In Trees! It is one of the most original shows on today. The writing was better than most of the other shows you kept. Star Trek was canceled by some idiot after its first season and look where that went. Keep up the good work and there won’t be anyone watching.Won’t your sponsors be pleased.

This stinks. Why do all the good shows get cancelled. (october road, men in trees) these are shows were people actually can relate to and have some sort of store line. They are real! Shows that seem to stay on tv are comedy and drama not anything people can realate to…. Granted the shows people can relate to have lower ratings but how is that fair to take away something from us the people that like to watch something realistic once a week. October Road didnt really have a fighting chance because you would run reruns or push it back for two weeks here and there and then the sec season took for ever to come on and only had like 5 shows and didnt really publized the premier for season two… I think if you would have givin it a chance it would have been a huge success… As for depreate housewives and grays both excellent shows but did you not see the ratings drop when you were consistenly running reruns over and over I bet you did… Please reconsider on bringing back October Road and give the people that like to have something they can relate to and look forward to evey week !!

I’m really going to miss Bigshots,Carpoolers,and Back to You..Those were my favorite ones to watch..They were funny and I think the T.V schedules were just to busy, at one point I had two shows recording on the dvr box while in my room watching another one and to me thats just crazy.Mondays and Wensdays are the busiest.While the other nights had nothing on.I don’t think it was that all these shows were bad they were just put on while other Big shows were showing instead of being on while none of the big shows are on.Oh well just great more reality shows..god knows thats just what we need….yuck

October Road was one of the main shows I was looking forward to watching again this coming season. Who were the “brains” behind cancelling this show?! It was a genuinely good show, and it’s going to be replaced by another moronic “reality” show which of course is not really “reality”. ABC- you made a huge mistake with this one, and I hope you really reconsider this.

October Road CANCELLED!!! I really enjoyed that show…I could relate to the characters and now I’m left with a lot of questions with how the show ended…this is sad. ABC should have given it another season at least…last seaon was so screwed up people didn’t know what day was what. Whishful thinking but I hope they change their mind and bring it back.

october road was one of those shows about life and friends which had a genuine turth to it. people make mistakes and friends can be forgiven and i for one really enjoyed and will miss the cast and good characters. but i think its a mistake to cancel this show. should have gotten an eariler time slot more people would have watched.

I really can’t believe you cancelled Men In Trees and October Road and left on all those stupid reality shows. Especially the Nanny one and Wife Swap. Maybe if you hadn’t move MIT around so much it would have done better. As for October Road I don’t understand how you can put so much publicity in a show and then just cancel it after we get attached to all the actors and then leave it in such a mess when you do end it. ABC has been my favorite network in the past but maybe we should all start rethinking that. I do love Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters, so please don’t cancel those or you won’t have much going for you.

I can not believe you canceled so many good shows that had good ratings despite the strike going on. Woman’s murder club was AMAZINGLY good love the storylines and the chemistry between the friends so belieaveable. Notes from the underbelly was a funny quircky show that we so need in this tv world now. Cashmere mafia was way better than lipstick jungle and that one is still on. COMMON ABC give us back our shows give the people what they want to watch. It was a horrible year with the strike so make it up by giving all these shows a shot again start from scratch in season 2 you’ll see ratings will be good. PLEASE don’t cancel our shows We are so sick of reality or ER or dumb shows that are nothing. ABC has good shows just don’t cancel them!!! PLEASE

My husband was even into it and that is not him at all. I can’t believe abc cancelled October Road. Not only was it one of the best shows on tv, it was one of the only shows left that was about real people and real life!!!! I either cried or laughed every episode and my husband even got into it. I’m so mad right now. No more reality shows, no more doctor shows, no more mommy/house/nanny stuff please!!!! Lets get back to good old television! Not to mention abc cancelled my other fav “What about Brian” last season for a stupid cave man show! We all knew that show would flop!!! I am extremely annoyed. I tell you it was a very long winter, I got hooked on Men In Trees and was addicted. And then it was all over the place. Then I discovered Women’s Murder Club, took a liking to that as well… then there was that stupid strike FOREVER… like WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There might of been two episodes before everybody decides “season finale”… well the heck did the season go?!!!! And I”m just the viewer… what about the poor people involved in the shows…not knowing if they’ll have a job past episode THREE?

Miss Guided was hysterical, much funnier than a lot of shows that are on TV. Give it a shot ABC. Seinfeld was almost cancelled after 7 episodes and look how that ended up. Given a good time slot, Miss Guided can be a very successful sitcom.

Everyone at work and all of my friends loved Men in Trees. However it was harder than heck to find and I often was e-mailing friends to tell them when I found the next show in the newspaper (at the last minute) so they would not miss it.

I know you have to pay the actors on this show as opposed to reality shows or the Nanny where families actually pay to be analyzed. But most of us are sick to death of reality gigs and have families grown (or not yet started) so don’t give a goot about child rearing.

Everyone one of my friends is REALLY DISAPPOINTED about MIT being cancelled. I’ll be doing more knitting and reading and watching re-runs of Northern Exposure on BPS. Most of TV is just mind numbing. This show was creative, clever, and had a wonderful cast.

I will miss it as will my MIT buds.

Big Shots was my absolute favorite show last season! I also like Dirty Sexy Money but not as much as Big Shots. I was really surprised they had cancelled it. I can’t stand ‘Dancing with the Stars’ I am so sick of reality TV its unbelievable. Ugly Betty is a good show, glad to see that on the schedule. I’m not sure how you guys get your show ratings but I would take a second look at ‘Big Shots’ I think it’s got some potential

Big Shots and Men In Trees are two of my favorite tv shows. You don’t even give them much of a chance. I love these shows. As I have said to the other networks who took off my favorite shows, family time be will be better off without the TV on. Take the reality shows off and give us back our regular scheduled programs.

October Road was a brilliant show… The scripts and actors were both awesome..
The worst bit is, the network doesn’t ever really give a rat’s ass about whether or not the show ends on a positive note.. The show has basically been left open ended!

Hey Network Execs! Give it some dignity atleast…

Little do they realise they’re losing a lot of their audience by lining up s**t for another whole year..

It is ABC’s fault for the ratings of October Road this past season. You show one show and then 2 weeks of crap. Then 2 new shows and then 1 week it’s not on! It’s hard to stay focused on a GREAT show that may be on may not be on. Never the less, They need to bring it back.

I hate to hear that October Road will be a no-show this season. I am 57 and i liked the show right away. My husband never cared for it but all he watches is Fox News. I always looked forward to Monday nights for October Road. Another show we really liked on ABC was “Rodney” and it was canceled a couple of years ago. He was so funny. Funnier than “According to Jim” and he is still airing. It’s time for “Jim” to hang it up.

I think it’s a real shame that you’re cancelling October Road. It is one of the few shows on network tv that is truely worth watching. Maybe if you stopped ‘trying out’ all these new shows, then getting people invested in them, then cancelling them, your ratings would get better. As of right now, I won’t be watching anything new ABC comes up with, because everytime I do,you pull it!!My whole family loves October Road.That list includes my two daughters,two sisters, my mother and various others in the family,and they’ve all said exactly what I’ve stated to you.Good luck with your new line-up…You.ve lost quite a few veiwers here.

Scrubs coming to ABC? Why? It’s been on far too long..everyone has lost interest. What is going on with this network? Good shows are dropped for rehashed ones. Cops,Doctors,Lawyers, Oh My, how very original! BBC has great shows that do not translate here. The only long running ABC shows have lost all their mojo. Just look at old smelly Grey’s Anatomy with all the great promotions : please note just how many women George has slept with!!! that’s the only thing this show is about, just add some trendy music & it’s all good, right? Such a shame to kick October Road to the curb, couldn’t ABC put it on their familychannel? I am not willing to watch the junk pumped out from Ashton Kutcher like the school comedy about students teachers & sex such great grown-up ideas from the punk king. I’m tired of rich people throwing money around and networks think/tell them they are genius! I liked Eli Stone, but am not willing to support this network any longer!!! You risk getting your fav show taken down with no remorse, so why bother with network tv. Whatever happened to being original? Another cop/doctor/lawyer show … give me a break! How many of these copycat shows can there be ??? Seriously, Dude – doesn’t anyone else care what goes into their brain? Night after night of Reality shows (who really watches this crap?) & repeats of bad shows that just refuse to die (even from other networks) I give up on network tv – they refuse to listen to the fans, so it’s time to go green & turn off the tv!
