TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.
After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.
Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.
When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.
Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

What do you think? Do you like the About a Boy TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season instead?
I love this show. Very well written and acted. Please don’t cancel it!
Great heartwarming show family entertainment refreshing nothing lewd or humiliating LOVE IT
Love this show! Please renew and bring Willl back to San Fran!!
Simply LOVE this show! The characters are so enjoyable!
This is a great show. It should be renewed. Another show that should have been renewed is “Growing Up Fisher. Two great back-to-back shows. But of the two, “About A Boy” is the best.
Renew!!!!
love this show should be renewed.
Brilliant at time, and always entertaining. Great cast. Hope they will renew this show.
Love this show!
I love this show! I hope it stays on a very long time.
There are very few half-hour sit-coms that I watch, but this one has captured me for the moment. I know it is tough to keep a good storyline going, even in the most interesting shows. As long as the writing stays fresh, I will continue to watch and enjoy this show.
A good show in general– despite the in-questionable-taste episode that found Will babysitting an on-the-potty young girl.
Great show, but will it last. At least it isn’t on ABC so there is hope after all. We know ABC’s track record of cancelling shows.
has great potential ! really enjoyed it.
Finally a television program that has you sitting from the moment it starts until the end. I think this show has potential to be new hit show.
The concept it different than most new sitcoms, it was well written, and has a good chance of making it.
Just so tired of these new shows that are so stupid right out of the gate.
LOVE IT!
