The debut was up against some serious competition and certainly didn’t come out ahead. It lost 40% of its lead-in audience from the special Halloween installment of The Simpsons. A year ago, FOX was airing the World Series so that’s not a fair comparison. If we look at last November 7th instead, the network was down by 33% in the demo (compared to an episode of The Cleveland Show which registered a 3.0 rating).

After one episode, Allen Gregory is the lowest-rated animated series on FOX and the second-lowest rated scripted series, beating only Fringe. Certainly not a good sign for the show’s future.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the Allen Gregory TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

I’m confused as to why the ratings bumped up last night on this garbage. This should have been cancelled weeks ago.

This show is simply puke in your mouth discussing. What gives Fox… Gay dads? I can deal with that, adopted foreign children? check, little boy Allen has a creepy sexual attraction to a morbidly old and obese woman? OK fine if its funny or what ever, racist indentured relationship between Allen and trainer, sure I will watch…But do these topics make a show funny???? NOOOO WAY!!!

Bottom line the show is just not funny in any way and leaves me angry after I watch it. If you haven’t seen the show and can’t download an episode on purpose (I warn only if you are some kind of masochist) simply put a cup or so of sand in your underpants and go run around for a bit. This show leaves you itching like VD, it really does. I know many of you think my review is over the top… If you don’t believe me then I dare you watch! OR do what I did, watch all 6 episodes in a row. (keep puke bucket on hand)

I consider myself a liberal guy, I listen to Howard Stern, I watch all the cartoons on FOX, I watch south park, Archer and a myriad of things that other people would happily pass on… You know the stuff that most older people find offensive. But this show is just awful, its awful in every way and its not funny, its sad and gross. I feel like this show takes a little piece of me away every time I watch it. It’s like swallowing a giant pill to cure nothing, or sitting the SAT for fun, just why! My girlfriend says I look visibly upset and frustrated after watching. Frankly I feel strung out, I do not think I can watch another episode (one more left, hopefully it wont even air). I am considering therapy!

The only positive comment I have is that I like the animation style, kinda reminds me of kid notorious from Comedy Central but it even lacks the class of 10 year old cartoon.

This show is: and (not in this particular order)

Racist
Sexist
Classist
Obnoxious
Damaging to the image of same sex couples
Inappropriate in every way
Filthy far beyond the boundaries of whats funny
Insult comedy gone way farther then it needs
Not ahead of its time at all
Makes viewers want to kill rich entitled children! j/k

And Family Guy or Howard Stern never do anything or any jokes that would qualify for any of those attributes on that list you made? Quagmire isn’t sexist? Quagmires antics like When he asks Connie D. Her age and she says 16 and Quagmire responds “18, your first! “Family Guy has done so many racist jokes several groups protest it to see some of the jokes Google it. FG is also classist think about carter and how he treats peter. AG is no more obnoxious than FG. also if it’s so horrible why would you watch Every episode? BTW I love family guy, but Howard Stern offers nothing intellectually funny, it’s like radio Jerry Springer. Which is why I don’t listen to him. I don’t listen everyday just so I can complain about it.
