America’s Funniest Home Videos: 2012-13 Ratings

It’s hard to believe that this is the 23rd season of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Will it ever be cancelled? If the ratings keep dropping, as they did last season, we may find out.

The 23rd season of America’s Funniest Home Videos typically airs Sunday nights on the ABC network. Tom Bergeron continues as host.

Here are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if America’s Funniest Home Videos is going to be cancelled or renewed for season 24.

Year-to-year, the season debut of America’s Funniest Home Videos was on par in the demo (vs a 1.5 rating) and in viewership (vs 6.42 million).


Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.59 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

The show should be canceled!!! I believe it takes advantage of American families for profit in exchange for a cheap t-shirt and a slim to NONE chance for cash whiwhich then steals ownership of those home videos with the right to sell them without any payment to the rightful owner which is the family. CA

i love this show. the videos are VERY fun, and i love when they take “advantage” of peoples misfortune

I can’t figure out what keeps this show on the air. Most of the videos are not funny and some take advantage of people’s misfortunes.
