Five children are given the power to morph into any living creature in order to battle a parasitic race of aliens called the Yeerks.

The children can stay in a morphed shape for no more than two hours or they will be trapped in that shape, as Tobias learns.

The kids are joined in the fight by a young Andalite named Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill (Paulo Costanzo), the brother of Elfangor.

The actors appear to have *all* aged well, which is remarkable – they are still passable to play their parts just as they left off (especially after makeup) – just like Elijah Wood playing Frodo again in The Hobbit even he was then in his 30s vs. being a teenager in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Keep the exact same intro, music – no changes – other than perhaps updated special effects – and since it a concluding season to defeat the Yeerks – stick to just the mission in the script vs. following their “normal” lives as teenagers as the previous seasons were trying to do at the same time – no time for that – except the epilogue after victory – and just put those new episodes in be in sequence following the existing episodes.

Well, if anyone is a multibillionaire and is a fan of this series, pony up the bucks to pay Scholastic and the actors to come back and make a concluding season so we can have closure to the story – without any regard to getting a return on the investment – just paying it in so those acting / producing it can be paid and make money and just paying in so you can see it be made. I know this isn’t realistic, but that’s about the only way this concluding season would probably be made, as the reason it was cancelled to begin with was due to expenses / lack of profit.

Here’s an alternate idea if you can’t get the original cast back all together for the final season for live action (which would be preferable): Do it in animation – a style like the Star Wars: Clone Wars series which looks more “real” vs. cartoonish (albeit don’t alter the facial / body shapes of the characters like was done in the Clone Wars – make them look like the true likenesses of the cast) and have the original actors provide the voicing for the characters.

Back in the good days when tv had more value and animorphs just stops at such a critical stand-point. the last episode I saw was when I think Jake and Marco go up into space and they find Marco’s mother as a head controller. please finish this it’s too good!

We can all stop pretending that all the old charictars are gonna be teens again, but still. My advice new cast, new technology, start it over from season one. A show like this will last. Please, give it another chance.

They don’t need to be teens for a final season – they’ve all kept themselves in good shape and still look very young so they could pass for their previous characters – they would obviously look older, but they don’t look like “old people” – and after some makeup, etc. even less so. Have you seen The Hobbit? Elijah Wood comes back to play Frodo – he’s in his 30s there, vs. being a teenager in the Lord of the Rings – and he’s playing the character of the same age. You can tell he’s older, but it doesn’t damage the character at all – and is certainly closer to the original than recasting him. And the point of wanting a concluding season is so that there could be closure to the story – the second season ends on a cliffhanger to which we get no closure. The show has an introduction, a progression, but no conclusion.

khaylin white September 21, 2009 at 6:46 am

why did the make only 26 episodes?! I liked the cast they had but if the continued it then they would use different people because the old cast are in their late 20’s.They could do a time skip and bring the old cast back, espeacially Brooke Nevin.
