There is simply no other adult cartoon that is in league with Archer.
FX will absolutely shoot themselves in the foot if they cancel this show.

Grow up. This show doesn’t air til 10pm, and any kid who is too young to watch this show is NOT still up at 10pm on a Thursday. And what kid watches FX anyway? Maybe you should get level headed and lighten up.

Archer is the comedy of the Millenium! I am a very hard person to please when it comes to comedy. Archer buries the Simpsons & surpasses Family Guy! Never in my dreams have I seen such a twisted, raw adult comedy. First time in my life I literally cried all night from laughter, I lost my breath. Because of Archer, my Thursday nights are my Friday nights. Archer is the most hardcore, twisted, raw, straight to the jugular comedy ever created. I am obsessed with this show.. This show is best show I’ve seen in a longtime, I keep wanting more of it, the only thing wrong is that I didn’t really know at first when each episode would be on, the schedule wasn’t clear I didn’t see the information about when it’d be on or didn’t notice until I started watching the Clips instead of just the Full Video’s, I watch the show on Hulu so a few times I missed some episodes and found myself having to go back and watch them. But After I watch each episode I kinda wish the episodes were more frequent. But each one was funny, smart, and enjoyable to watch. I watch TV 98% of the time on computer so I dunno if that has a result in viewer ratings I’ve always wondered about the accuracy of such tests, I mean look at the polls on the subject here and it shows 93% Say don’t cancel it while only 7% say cancel it. I think the ratings issue has been the cause of many good shows being cancelled and many times it feels premature. After all, shows such as Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galactica, Enterprise, Stargate Atlantis, and Farscape could have remained going, atleast Battlestar or Stargate Atlantis was good for 7 seasons, so I feel each was cut short too early.

This is honestly about the best show I’ve seen in a while. I think if FX isn’t going to continue the series they should consider doing like Comedy Central did with Futurama and start making mini-movies and air them. This show is to good to let go after just a handful of episodes.

The creator is brilliant, I loved sea lab, and Frisky. I just saw the first 3 eps. on Hulu, and it is exactly what I was looking for. If they keep it on, I will program my dvr, my grandmas, sisters, brothers, uncles, and parents to record it just to keep the numbers up. I’ll be deployed in 2011, but come hell or high-water I’ll watch it in Iraq.

Shows usually take a half-season to find their bearings, but Archer is funny right out of the gate. It’s a rare gem of an adult cartoon, with consistent laughs and a cast of familiar, talented voice actors.

H. Jon Benjamin’s Archer is everything Adam Reed’s Xander Crews wasn’t: likable.

The problem is DVR and HULU… who watches TV at the actual time anymore? Especially not us elusive 18-34 yr olds. I feel a revisit to the Arrested Development saga from ’03 – ’05 or the Family Guy. “Archer” is funny as hell, and what the suits need to understand is that in a world of 2,3, and 4 hundred channels available it takes time for folks to find out about a new show, see it, and get to like it or not. They want such instant results they’re canceling shows before enough people even find out they exist to watch. It’s that kind of short-sightedness that hurts America in so many endeavors. First off everything Adam Reed has done has been awesome and ridiculously underrated.

Frisky Dingo got canned and that show was amazing. Archer is another hit that you just have to give a chance to. Tell your friends about it and try to expand the viewership. I really, really hope they bring Archer back for another season; it clearly has potential.

RE: move to adult swim/cancellations of sealab etc

Adult swim probably can’t handle the budget for a show like this. Sealab and Frisky Dingo were both canceled after they had run through many of the humorous permutations and situations that their characters could handle. Archer still has a lot of room to explore and have fun. Not every show can or should go for a dozen seasons like the simpsons, friends, seinfeld, etc – but most well made shows can and should take a few seasons to explore the universe that has been created.

There is a technicality here, though I won’t blame you for it, cause it’s not well known. Frisky Dingo wasn’t canceled by Adult Swim. Adam Reed walked away from the show for personal reasons. It was unfortunate that it happened like that, because FD was actually getting it’s highest ratings yet when it went off the air.

Personally, I enjoy this show a lot. Perhaps I am contributing to its downfall, I don’t watch it live, I torrent it.
There are a lot of aspects of the story line that I find appealing. Many shows and stories I have read are very two dimensional. They don’t really go places, nothing big seems to occur from episode to episode. I feel like I am watching a template of some show with minor variations most of the time. Maybe I should look into Adam Reed’s doings.
