I have been watching as the world turns for over 35 years .I’m 40 yrs. old now I watched with my mom and grandma.I love that it is so many of the same faces on the still today .I grow up with Lily the old Lily and Holden. It would be heart breaking to never see them again.I know that all things must come o a end. But it is too soon to come to a end my children and I tivo it my 15 yr old watches faithfully.We are watching right at this moment.I pray that they find a home .I have family in Waterproof,La. , Ferriday ,La.,Pineville, La.,Las Vegas,Nv.,Los Angeles,Ca.San Antonio,Tx.,Uless,Tx.,etc. Please find a home for our favorite show.

Boycott CBS…..and any new programming they put in the time slots for “our” soaps.
I will not watch “Let’s Make a Deal” I’d be happy to pay a subscription online to watch Guiding Light as well as As The World Turns. Unfortunately not everyone can get Lifetime or other channels. The best way is a subscription and watch online.

Please Direct TV, pick up As the World Turns. There is more fans than you think. Proctor and Gamble is going through with cancellation for one reason cheaper programing . So you can line your pockets , like every other greedy CEO. There is a huge fan base. Please pick up the cancelled ones!! You won’t be sorry!!!!

Just wanted to add my two cents. Have watched the show for 20+ years, record it every day. Would be happy to watch it on a cable station as long as it was one that was readily available like lifetime or the like.

I have been watching As The World Turns for about 5 years. I began watching it during a very hard time in my life and it became the one thing that I looked forward to every day. The characters are like family to me and I am very upset that it is going off in September. Please someone!!-pick it up and I will forever be thankful!

please please dont take atwt off air…all the soaps are going away…well the ones i watch anyways…take b&b off before atwt….this soap is getting so darn good…and if for some reason it does go off air please make it a better ending then GL was…make it belivable…GL ending was VERY bad!!!! please try ur hardest to keep it…that would be AWSOME if it could have went to lifetime but just find another one there is plenty of stations that it could go onto!!!

I am writing to request that you please, please consider picking up “As the World Turns.” I have watched this show since I was 12 years old, and I am 53 now, and still enjoy the show. I can hardly wait to watch it each day. I record it while I’m at work, and am able to sometimes watch it at work. The actors on the show have become like family members to me. I lost my husband to a sudden massive heart attack a few years ago, and it has been extremely hard on me and my two daughters. As the World Turns is one of the few things that I have left that really keeps me going, and keeps my spirits lifted. Please consider it, .. it would make the a whole lot of people happy!

if you all want ATWT to continue, contact DirecTV to pick up the series at http://support.directv.com/app/ask. There is rumor going around that DirecTV might be interested in picking up the soap opera if more fans write to them. I and including other fans have tried to e-mail other networks to pick up the series, but they all said no or had no replies.

DirecTV is the only possible network that might consider picking up the soap.

Once again, I will write to show my support for ATWT. I did hear rumor that Direct TV may pick it up…So now I will have to subscribe to satellite TV and give up cable!! I’ll do it and then have to buy a whole bunch of receivers for all our tvs! I am also going to foward this address to everyone that I can think of that watches this program and maybe we will get more to protest. I’m not seeing a whole lot on here writing letters!

I have watched As the World turns since I was 6 and That was with my Grandmother. I watch every day or tape so I can watch when I can’t. I also watched Guiding Light and Bold and Beautiful. This is the ONLY thing I watch regularly. It is like losing part of your family, and a part of your life when they just disappear. I buy nearly all of the Procter and Gamble Products mostly because they sponsor my chief entertainment. My
Mother died last year, Even in the Hospital that was her main interest, we didn’t miss it.
It was what she had to look forward to each day. How can you take something that is that important to an audience and make it so insignificant? I am a commission only salesperson and I don’t have the money to pay to watch it, I do good to afford cable.
But yes I would watch it on another channel. But I think it is a HUGE Mistake to take
a tradition away to replace it with some game show . Yuck they are a dim a dozen.
I believe writing this is probably a waste of time, like our government, Proctor and Gamble probably won’t listen to the people either. However if it affected their pocketbook or Stock that might finally get their attention. I want Guiding Light and
as the World Turns to be Kept right where they are. What other program has some-one
watching every day for 54 years???????? The Bible says even one person can make a
difference,. so I’m going to have faith and write my first internet letter. Pay attention

I would like to see ATWT stay on the air. I have been watching this show with my grandma for as long as I can remember. Not only was I disappointed when I heard the news, but she was also disappointed. Why not try a new time?
Why not put the show on the ON DEMAND list?
There are some things worth keeping this is one of them, I would like to see reality TV GO BYE BYE – not scripted tv.

I know, I can’t stand CBS for taking away Guiding Light and will never forgive them if ATWT is completely canceled. I know it didn’t work with GL but let’s atleast try to save the show or atleast get it on another network, it’s worth a shot to save our beloved show. Let’s all bombard them with letters and just TRY and then if it doesn’t work we can say screw off to all CBS and P&G products. I really don’t want to lose this show!

If CBS won’t keep the show on due to ratings (hard to believe when we all love it so much) then please go to a cable channel so we can keep up with the lives of the characters. Don’t kill them off and the show as well. It will kill us too! Pay per view, cable channel, whatever, just find someplace to put it.

Lets face it. CBS could care less and so could P & G..I tried so hard with GL, listened to all the promises went to the Farewll to GL in Atl. I am sick of what CBS has to say. No one will save the show they are just stringing everyone along like they did with GL. I hope every show on CBS goes in the tank, they seem to forget we have cable now and they offer shows that are very good. You do not see ABC tossing out their daytime soaps in favor of another game show or heven help us another talk show. How many actors can go on all the shows? What we don’t need is another takl show, Let CBS shoot itself in the foot and watch everyone give up on all their shows maybe then they will care about the people who used to watch them.

The storylines on ATWT are incredible and they don’t drag out forever like some other soaps. The millions of fans around the world do not want it to end, it is our escape from reality…PLEASE someone pick up the show, do not cancel this amazing long running soap!

after 10,20,30,or even 50 years on television is enough. My wishlist for 2010 is for all the talk shows and for all of the reality shows on television to finally disappear and bring back the old reruns of the shows that were once on t.v. that we all miss.

I am truely saddened by the cancellation of ATWT. Guiding Light and ATWT were my two favorite TV programs to watch. I would watch the two wherever they go but I have no faith. They just try to appease us until they axe it completely then just say tough. The game shows they are replacing them with are a waste of time and I refuse to watch them. My soaps were a “take me away” from the stress of everyday life and my relaxation time. Now I turn on the weather channel – Oh what fun!!!

Karen, the reason GL was not able to find a home was that the cancellation came out too late. The Fall season was already decided on, and GL had no place to go. From what I understand they are still shopping the show around, hence the show ending with a one year later preview. Now, not sure if I want GL coming back without any of the heavy hitters returning…Josh, Reva, Olivia, but it is still a possibility. Maybe GL & ATWT are being shopped around together…who knows. I truely don’t feel ATWT is ready to end, and I do feel it will find itself a home.

I would follow ATWT where ever it shall go. I truely feel Lifetime would be the greatest fit, but if they choose to do pay per view, that is cool tool. I know Howard Stern has a channel that is $10-15 per month…..I’d be all for something like that. Just know that whereever ATWT ends up…I will be following!!!

I hope the fans don’t fall for this. The same things were said about Guiding Light and you can see what a good job they did about finding a new home for that show. They will let you believe they are doing everything possible to save the show but don’t believe it. I think you can plan on saying goodbye to ATWT in September 2010, they same way we Guiding Light fans had to say goodbye to our favorite show in September 2009.
