Beauty and the Beast ratingsWith a great lead-in, Beauty and the Beast has the best chance of any new CW show this season of getting solid ratings. Will it survive or, like last year’s Secret Circle, or will it be cancelled?

Following a young beautiful homicide detective and her handsome-yet-scarred protector, Beauty and the Beast typically airs Thursday nights on The CW network. The cast includes Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Nina Lisandrello, Brian White, Max Brown, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Austin Basis.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Beauty and the Beast will be cancelled or renewed for a second season.

Final season averages: 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.61 million total viewers.

0.5 in the demo (0% change) with 1.29 million (+5% change).

0.5 in the demo (0% change) with 1.23 million (-1% change).

UPDATE: The CW has renewed the series for a second season.

1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.78 million total viewers.
Season average: 1.20 in the demo with 2.78 million.

Year-to-year, compared to The Secret Circle’s premiere in the same post-Vampire Diaries timeslot, the network was down by 8% in the demo (vs a 1.3 rating) and down 8% in viewership (vs 3.05 million). While these numbers were still very good, Beauty and the Beast won’t survive if its numbers fall like Secret Circle’s did.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Love this show. Wish the stations would stop canceling shows before they give them a real chance to be noticed. This Show is awesome.

It’s an enjoyable show and I hope it gets picked up for a second season to see where they can take it. It’s a shame they cancel shows too quickly before they have a good chance to attract viewers. I vote for another season for Beauty and the Beast. I love the actors and the characters they play.

I adore Beauty and the Beast and it absolutely must be given a second series. Fabulous cast – great characters and storyline. Love it, love it, love it. Please, please, please give it a second series!!!

Beauty and the Beast quickly became my new favorite show on TV. It’s very inspiring and encouraging, let alone just a great story and amazing cast! It needs to continue with a second season!

My AttU-verse does not get the CW, so I watch Beauty and the Beast online. Maybe that is why the numbers are not so high. If viewers can only watch part of the show at a time, they to sit thru all the same commercials again before the timeline will jump ahead to start at a mid-point. It takes alot of dedication to see all of Beauty and the Beast and Arrow too. But I do. This show has tragedy, romance, and family issues, that we all face. The characters are well developed and the acting is great. The cinematography is so well done, we feel like we are a part of the dynamic action. Please keep the show going; just advertise the availability of these shows on CWtv…and get AT&T to carry the channel!

I really love ‘Beauty and the Beast’. I read about it on facebook, because as no american girl I have no CW network.
I informed myself about this serie and got really into it.
I’m always so happy when Friday is coming, because I can watch ‘Beauty and the Beast’ again :D
I really hope, a second season is coming :D

I really hope that beauty and the beast gets picked up for season 2 . I have really grown to love these characters and care about their story . I believe the two main actors do an incredible job with this show . There’s been shows I’ve liked that have been cancelled but never really get upset over , I will be heartbroken if the beauty and the beast gets cancelled . It has incredible story lines, actors , and characters you root for !! What more can you ask for from a show ?
