While these numbers were still very good, Beauty and the Beast won’t survive if its numbers fall like Secret Circle’s did.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I’m also a big fan of the show, but let’s face it, it’s likely not getting renewed.
If it is, it has to be stellar next season for a chance at a third.

Beauty (I’m refuse to use ‘BATB’ :P) has two things going for it:
    1. Pretty solid online community support (almost completely uninteresting to TV execs).
    2. The CW’s lineup of scripted shows has one, possibly two slots left for next season, and Beauty is at the top of the numbers game when it comes to the middling group.

I think it’s a wonderful show, a bit of a diamond in the rough; but, I feel it has a lot of potential to be the next Smallville (Kreuk being a coincidence), rather than the next Dark Angel (another fantastic show not given the chance to really shine).

I hope The CW can muster enough foresight to see it for what it is; but in my experience, they won’t. And we’ll all be the worse for it.

Please Renew It!!! It’s a Romance but It Has Great Action Aspects To It, and -Unlike The Vampire Diaries- It Is NOT A Complete Soap Opera Masquerading As A Teen Show! Beauty and The Beast Is A Drama but It Is Not One That Makes You Want To Tear Your Hair Out Because The Characters Are So Stupid, and Can’t Make Up Their Minds About Things! All In All IT IS A GREAT SHOW!; In This Sea Of Vampire and Girlie Annoying Shows!!
