Believe: New NBC Drama; Cancel or Keep It?

Believe TV show on NBC: cancel or renew?NBC has had mixed luck with their ratings this season. They’ve had some successes and some failures. How does the Believe TV series measure up? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season two?

Believe revolves around a young girl with special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her from evl forces. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.

The show got off to a positive start on Monday, March 10th — likely thanks to having The Voice as a lead-in. The premiere drew a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.56 million total viewers. It was a distant second in its timeslot, behind ABC’s The Bachelor: After the Final Rose.

The second episode, which aired in Believe’s regular Sunday night timeslot, saw the ratings drop 45% in the demo and 22% in viewership. Last week’s installment fell another 18% in the demo and 22% in viewers.

To drop to a 1.2 rating in the demo after just three episodes is a very bad sign for Believe’s future. It’s possible that the numbers could turn around and start to rise but it’s more likely that they’ll keep falling. The network needs new successful programming for their schedule and it seems clear that this isn’t it.

But, what do you think? Do you like the Believe TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

This really sucks! BELIEVE was our absolute favorite show! How can they take it away like that? Only to replace it with really stupid shows that have no meaning or all about sex and drugs. My family loved that show and have been waiting to watch the new season. They really need to have more shows that children can watch . We are so sick of the trash they put on tv now. Please bring Believe back!

I knew from the moment I saw the previews of Believe I was going to love the show.
And I was right, my husband And I couldn’t wait for the next episode to be on. Believe
kept us on the edge of our seats. To see things from the eyes of a little girl (Bo) who always
Try’s to see the best in people when in today’s times is a truly hard thing to do, gives us all a little hope. Even if it is for just an hour once a week. Bring it back!!!! Believe is a wonderful show and has great possibilities!!

I can’t believe that BELIEVE got cancelled. There are Very Few shows anymore worth watching with my family, that they actually look forward to watching every week. Believe kept my family on the edge of their seats EVERY WEEK. Kept us looking forward to another episode. My kids were asking when Believe was coming back and to find out it was cancelled is devastating. Why? Ridiculous that stupid shows that make no sense stay on the air but decent family oriented shows get cancelled. BRING IT BACK

I have come to the realization NBC sucks…thats why i dont watch anything from them cause they are real good at gettin you hooked then lettin you go….all my shows i watch are on global…. There stay on for a real long time…its really sad tho cause there are very few shows on anymore that you can let your children watch sobit was nice while it lasted to be able to watch tv as a family

That is what is wrong with our world today. Kids shouldn’t be viewing most programs on regular tv. The ones that people can sit down and watch as a family get canceled. This cancels out some of the time that parents and children sit down together for a family activity. We are a digital nation, which includes tv. Why do the family shows seem to always get canceled only to be replaced with a show children shouldn’t be watching?
