Betrayal: ABC TV Show Cancelled, No Season Two

Betrayal series finaleMultiple sources are reporting the news that we all saw coming. Betrayal has been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season on ABC.

On Betrayal, the extra-marital affair of two professionals gets even more complicated when their families end up on the opposite sides of a murder trial. The cast includes Stuart Townsend, Hannah Ware, Henry Thomas, Chris Johnson, Wendy Moniz, Braeden Lemasters, Elizabeth McLaughlin, and James Cromwell.

The drama had poor ratings right from the start and then, the numbers got even worse in subsequent weeks. The finale registered just a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.3 million viewers.

Despite the dismal ratings, the network denied that the show had been cancelled. Thankfully, the last episode provided some measure of closure for the devoted fans who stuck with it.

What do you think? Are you sorry that the show’s been cancelled, that there won’t be a second season of Betrayal?

This show had so much potential. I was a fan from the first episode. Can we at least get closure and tie up all of the loose ends? It’s not fair to get people all wrapped up in a show and then leave them hanging. Come on ABC! Do the right thing!!

It makes me wonder if it’s worth watching anything on tv as so many good shows are axed early, that is of course to make way for even more reality tv!!!!!!! It’s about time we returned to the decision makers having a sense of responsibility to those of us who like something different, there has to be more to life than the Simpsons! Bring back betrayal!

We want more, brilliant series, action packed episodes, fast paced story, no long drawn out plots. Bring it back ABC please.

OMG! This is highly disappointing, does 3.3 million viewers not count for anything ? I am one of them . I hate this latest fad of canceling series without considering the viewers who have in fact supported them because they liked the series enough to follow it in the first place. It is like reading a good book and finding the last 200 pages are missing.

I cannot believe Betrayal was cancelled. It was one of the only tv shows I looked forward to every week. The actors are terrific, the plot was good and it was exciting to watch! Please reconsider!
