Bitten is preparing for its third and final season on SyFy, but both the star of the series and the showrunner are hopeful that somehow the series will be saved. Those involved want a fourth season, but the end of season three will provide closure for fans of the series.
Daegan Fryklind spoke about the end of the series with Variety. She said:
“We knew in advance where the season was gonna go in terms of our big push towards 310, but I was aware of the fact that this was going to be the final season of this incarnation of the show, at least, before I wrote 310. So we were able to bring it towards a season and a series finale that is hopefully cathartic and satisfying for our viewers, but it also does leave room for an afterlife, should there be an afterlife. I’m a brat that way, I don’t like to say goodbye… if there’s a movie future or whatever it may be. We have such an incredible fanbase and they are reacting to this in a really exciting way, in that they’re not super thrilled about it being the final season, so it’s really a wonderful reaction to see for us. They’ve been so supportive of the show and so in love with these characters, originating from the books and then where we’ve gone with them in the show — they’re not ready to say goodbye to this world and these characters yet, so we’ll see.”
Laura Vandervoort, the star of the series, also spoke about the fan reaction to the cancellation of the series by SyFY, and she is also hopeful that the series will return. She said:
“I really believe that this third season is our best season yet; all of the actors are comfortable within our characters and the storylines have been getting so much more intriguing and entertaining and a lot of fun to play. We’ve amassed a great fanbase, whether they’re fans of the books or jumped onto the show and then they read the books, and I know us as a group – our cast, our crew – really acknowledge and appreciate that fanbase and that support. I know they’ve created a campaign to bring the show back, I think it’s #HowlForMore, and just seeing that is a really nice feeling, to know that we’re appreciated as we appreciate them. There’s been times – and I’ve been on these shows – where you think it’s done. One day on ‘V’ we heard we were done, the next day we were back, so you never know. If there was an opportunity, we’d be grateful.”

Need to continue bitten series, I love the shorw…
Love this show would love to see it come back!!
Sucks, but not very surprising people… The 1st season started out great but it sort of all fell apart at the end with the silly mass mutt attacks and then the 2nd season got too repetitive and the storylines were boring. They made a lot of mistakes with this series. In the book, Clay was a way more appealing (and interesting!) character; a sociopath whose ability to torture and maim (and therefore inspire fear) was rivaled only by his love for Elena and his GQ model beauty. He didn’t look like the scary sociopathic werewolf that he was, instead, he… Read more »

We enjoy Bitten at our house, and hope that the network will reconsider and pick it up for another season.
Love the Bitten and Otherworld series. I really hope they bring it back. Kelly Armstrong’s stories are fantastic, and the Elena and Clay’s love story is classic. Please bring back for season 4.

Bitten has been such a good show that it’s a shame that this was their final season. I would love to see another season/mini series, maybe picking up 10- years from the last show. There is so much more that can written for this show.
Bitten deserves a 4th season. The storyline is exciting and the actors have done a superb job embracing the intensity and emotions of their characters. They make their supernatural world not only believable, but leave the viewer anxiously awaiting the next episode. I do not want to say goodbye to this series. Please take another look at Bitten. There is still a great deal to be written about this special world of werewolves. This fan is looking forward to more from the Pack.
Please bring back Bitten for a fourth season. The show is wonderful. Each season just gets better. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we are so tired of Syfy canceling the good shows that we all love.
