What’s this TV show about?
Airing on the NBC television network, The Blacklist follows former US Naval Intelligence officer Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader). After disappearing for two decades, and landing on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, he surrendered himself to FBI Assistant Director Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix). In exchange for immunity from prosecution, Red promises to help the Bureau track and apprehend some of the world’s most dangerous criminals and terrorists, provided he can work exclusively with Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone). The cast also includes Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, and Hisham Tawfiq.
Season Two Ratings
Season four of The Blacklist is averaging a 1.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.74 million total viewers. Compared to season three, that is a decrease of 20% in the demo and a decline of 16% in total audience size. Find out how The Blacklist stacks up against the other NBC scripted series.
Once NBC’s biggest drama series, The Blacklist is down in the ratings again this season. It’s consistently at the bottom of The Peacock Network’s rating barrel, where the demo numbers are concerned. With four full seasons, The Blacklist will have enough episodes for a decent syndication package. What’s more, the sequel series, The Blacklist: Redemption, premieres in February and is taking the popular Blacklist character, Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), with it. For these reasons, it seems that NBC may look at cancelling The Blacklist or, perhaps renew it for a fifth and final season. I’ll be keeping an eye on this one. What do you think? Do you watch The Blacklist on NBC? Do you want NBC to renew The Blacklist for season five? If the network cancelled this TV show, would you miss it?
