Blue Bloods: Season Four Ratings

bluebloods32This TV series has managed to survive on Friday nights on CBS but the ratings have been coming down each year. Will Blue Bloods’ numbers be strong enough for the show to be renewed for season five or could it be in danger of being cancelled? We shall see.

Another police procedural series, Blue Bloods revolves around the Irish-American Reagan family and their work as part of the NYPD. The cast includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson, Sami Gayle, Nicholas Turturro, and Marisa Ramirez.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Final season averages: 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.52 million total viewers.

For comparisons: The third season of Blue Bloods averaged a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.83 million total viewers.

Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you still like the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fifth season?

This show is fantastic! Has more going on than bang..bang…shoot èm up. Have convinced others to watch and they are now on board. This show demonstrates values that have been abandoned these past 2 decades. Refreshing!
One flaw…bring back Esposito! She was more authentic as a NYPD cop!

Best show on tv. Current topics handled well. Importance of family is stressed. Talented staff with outstanding writing. Should be renewed without a doubt.

Keep the show. Itry to watch it on Fridays but only make it half way through at best due to work schedules . I then pick it up through CBS website. Would be better if it was another night due to high school sports which several parents, friend, and fans attend.

This a great show. Like others have commented, I like the high moral aspect and family life that is portrayed in each episode. I hope it’s not cancelled. It’s one of the few show I am actually enjoying watching.

I watch Blue Bloods faithfully because it is one of the few good shows to watch on Friday nights. I even enjoy watching Tom Selleck, although I personally don’t like his politics.
The show should be renewed.

I record this show to watch so I probably am not part of the statistics. I certainly hope it is not cancelled since there are so few shows with the ability to maintain morality and family values and still be entertaining. Not an easy thing nowadays.

I love this show and Tom Selleck. The only reason it would be cancelled is because of poor ratings, and the only reason the rating are slowly falling is because they’re bringing in more and more muslims. It’s happening to other shows also, we’ve lost several shows that became infiltrated.

I hope the show can be salvaged, unless you are a full on liberal, the show gets cancelled.

Blue Bloods is an awesome show and I love to watch it because of the goals and morals. It is great to have a show about a family that are connected and care for each other even if they disagree. It is one of the few shows I still watch.
Friday nights is also football night so the ratings should put this into consideration.

Bluebloods is an excellent show. I loke all of the actors, the writing is good, and most of all I like the family aspect and prayer in the show. Our world is going to hell in a handbasket…it’s refreshing to see a show with extended family, values, morals, prayer and loyalty. Do not cancel this show.

It is frustrating that the age group does not represent all viewers. Plus a lot of people watch on demand or DVR shows to watch later. They keep shows for ever that only younger viewers enjoy but don’t represent everyone else. Our family usually record shows to watch later as a family.

Blue Bloods should be renewed for a fifth season. Fantastic crew, writing and banta between the actors . Why cancel something that is good and sincere and close to being real. Keep blue bloods
