TV show description:
This political drama TV series revolves around Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer), the powerful mayor of Chicago. He’s known for getting things done, regardless of the moral cost. Quite simply, he’s the most effective mayor in recent history.
Unfortunately, Kane’s recently been diagnosed with DLB, a degenerative neurological disorder. He can’t trust his memory, his closest allies, or even himself. Determined to remain in charge, Kane conceals the disease from everyone around him — except his neurologist, Doctor Ella Harris (Karen Aldridge).
Those around Kane are too busy with their own lives to notice anything unusual. Kane’s marriage to his wife Meredith (Connie Nielsen) is one of convenience.
Kane’s personal aide, Kitty O’Neill (Kathleen Robertson), has her suspicions but stays silent. Kane’s senior political advisor is Ezra Stone (Martin Donovan), a Yale graduate with a rough edge who remains questionless. State Treasurer Ben Zajac (Jeff Hephner) is too busy cultivating his political ambitions to become the next Governor of Illinois to notice anything out of the ordinary.
Only Emma (Hannah Ware), Kane’s estranged daughter, has a chance of learning his secret.

How absurd to have cancelled this brilliant show! This was one of the best original series on tv. Every episode was powerful and gripping. Very unfortunate that its been relegated to only 2 seasons. What a waste. Hope another network picks it up and soon!
So we get no ending? No tieing up loose ends? All the time I invested in watching that crap and I don’t even get to see the Boss die? Seriously. All those hours of my life, gone. I still want to know the end of Life on Mars!
Boss is such a well-acted, intelligent show, it is too bad it got canceled. I hope some other network picks it up and that the interesting plot can continue. The show was just getting started!
Boss is a great show and should not be cancelled. At least have one more season with a perfect ending.
When I heard BOSS was being cancelled. Why work on episodes to just have it “fall over the cliff” so to speak. People enjoy watching shows like this one and to just cut it off with no ending of any kind is just plain WRONG. Hopefully we will get, at least, a movie out of it to tie off the “loose ends” of the story.
why bother with hbo when boss and boardwalk aren’t on anymore. All they show is the same thing over and over and over and over again.
Can anyone tell me what Emma discovered about Ian looking through some shoe box of papers?
Don…..it seems as though Emma found out that Ian is her half brother. She found Ian’s birth certificate when she was in his apt.
he is emmas half briother. His mom is the lady in the picture. teh bix also has the birth certificate listing Kane as his father
I can’t believe they cancelled Boss. It was one of my favorite shows. No need for me to keep Starz channel. So disappointed.
This was one of the best shows on TV, can’t believe they cancelled it. This is why I no longer watch any new shows. They don’t even give them a chance & if you start watching them, they get cancelled. What a SHAME. Too much mindless crap on TV as it is. No story lines, no plots, just reality garbage and they seem to survive. The people who watch them are morons. It does not surprise me that any show that actually has good actors like Kelsey Grammer get cancelled. People don’t want anything good, they just want to escape into reality tv and that is sad. What does it say about this country when Kim K. survives & boss is cancelled?, What a waste!!!
Please do not cancel BOSS!It is the best show on tv. They should give it one more season and advertise.
So loving BOSS…This is the best tv drama I’ve seen in a long time. Great script, excellent actors and very ADDICTIVE.
Just like (Sharon B.) from a previous post. I also had Boss parties every Friday with my girlfriends (10, to be exact) which lead to discussions, debates and good food. We are all devastated that this show is been cancelled. Five of the Ten of us renewed our STARZ cable subscriptions JUST so that we could continue to watch our favorite show. Please keep airing Season 1 and Season 2 so that other viewers will get hooked on this show like I did.
I hope and pray that you bring this show back, I told so many co-workers about it and they were just starting to get into the show and were all looking forward to Season 3. STARZ you put your foot in it when you created this Series…***Please reconsider and bring this BLOCKBUSTER of a show back.
THE best show and they’re cancelling it??!!
Noooooo! I can’t believe such a great show has been cancelled. Doomed by STARZ!
This great show is one of the few quality and interesting shows on telelvision. As usual, the good shows are cancelled, while alot of of stupid shows are kept on.
PLEASE do not cancel BOSS! Please give viewers a chance to find it on Starz, which is not as well known for their own shows, like HBO and Showtime are. Just keep seasons one and two showing so that viewers can find it. When they do, they will be hooked on the most riveting, well acted, well written, and well directed TV series ever.
This great quality show is one of the few shows that holds my interest, As usual, the good shows are cancelled while the stupid shows are kept on.
