Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures: Cancelled, No Season Two

Bucket and Skinner cancelled TV showSurf’s permanently out for Nickelodeon’s Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures TV series. One of the show’s stars has confirmed that it’s been cancelled and won’t be returning for a second season.

Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures follows two surfer dude friends who attend high school and get in a lot of trouble in a fictional California town called Pacific Bluffs. The cast includes Taylor Gray, Dillon Lane, Ashley Argota, Tiffany Espensen, Glenn McCuen, and George Back.

The series debuted on Nickelodeon last summer and ran for 13 episodes, until October 2011. After a five month hiatus, Bucket & Skinner returned in March but ran for just five episodes before leaving the schedule once again.

Argota, who plays Kelly on the show, says that the show has been cancelled and isn’t sure when or if the remaining installments will air. She tells her young fans:

okay. so i’ve been avoiding answering this question directly for a long time now. why? it’s complicated. but i think you guys can hear the truth, as it won’t change anything. and you guys are smart, and pretty much know whats going on, so i might as well say it.

a few months ago, we found out that we would not be shooting any more episodes of Bucket & Skinner.

we still have quite a few episodes that have not aired, and i’m not sure if or when they will.

but thank you all for your support of the show. i think i speak for me and my fellow cast members when i say, your love and support over the past few months means more than you guys will ever know. we love you so much.

What do you think? Are you sorry to see Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures end? Would you like to see the rest of the episodes?

I honestly can say I loved Bucket And Skinner. It was probably my favorite Nickelodeon show out of all of them.
All the shows now, in my opinion, are total crud. It was the only show I actually liked and by taking it away, to put it into short terms, I’m not pleased. I thought that the show was hilarious, it had me laughing out loud multiple times in one episode (literally- out loud) and it had a good balance of everything- humor, romance, school life, dances, popularity…it was perfect.
As I’m scrolling down I can tell that many others do not have the same opinion as I do; which is silly because it was an amazing show. I will miss it.

well the PREMISE of having a show about teen surfer boys was good, but the problem was the two stars weren’t funny OR hot.. the only hot guy on the show was glenn mccuen (who also was the only one with any talent).. if the producers had been smart they wouldve built the show up around him more, but basically EVERYBODY else had ZERO talent and couldn’t draw in viewers with their looks either.. just goes to show middle-aged straight men shouldn’t be left in charge of figuring out what teenagers want to watch..

How bad is a show that can’t become huge on Nick? Something has to be really wrong to keep tweens from watching a show about teen surfer boys.

Well I know that the show is for kids and I’m not a kid but it was honestly a terrible show. Probably one of Nick’s worst shows. Hopefully the cast can strike gold with something better.
