I had hopes for this show when I first saw the previews. The premise was interesting, initially. Killing off Hubble the first episode was not a good idea, and the way in which it was done was bizarre, no body, no real grief for him. The timeline on the second episode was very confusing, and the characters all seem to be two-dimensional. Michelle has a comic banter that gets irritating after the first twenty times. Unfortunately, I cannot see why this show should be renewed. It is trite, implausible and so superficial, it hurts to watch it. I love ballet, and thought there was going to be a good program with some substance and appeal, but the characters are shallow and the script is poorly written, time to close the curtain on this one. Each episode seems to get worse. If Hubble came back from the dead, (which he might since there was only a shoe left from the accident) it might get better, but there is too much soap opera mentality in this to really sustain any real storyline. I find myself grimacing more and more as I watch Michelle and Fannie, even they know this show is bad.

I watch this show & although I enjoyed the first two episodes, the 3rd & particularly the latest have been cheesy & not so good. I’ll keep watching to help with the ratings, but I hope it gets better. I loved Gilmore Girls and it’s not fair to compare the two shows as they are and should be different, but Gilmore Girls was an amazing show that never got boring or cheesy. Sutton Foster looks like she could be a good actress, but her acting/character in this show make me cringe with her silliness. Maybe they are trying to make her too much like Laurelei, but she can’t ever come close to this role.

I hope that this show will be cancelled… I agree with The people that say that there are bad actors and The girls are really ridiculous!

I love Bunheads, and I think that Sutton Foster and Kelly Bishop are great together. I keep awiting for Hubble to show up again–they never found his body, and it was never clear how they knew he was dead, so I thought that there was an opening for his return. ye

This show is quirky, intelligent, and engaging. Can’t we please keep one show for people who don’t think that reality TV is real and what something with substance??

I really love watching Bunheads it is one of those that you look forward to watching each week after a long day. The characters are charming in this small and quaint and beautiful seaside community.

Who are these funny and yet somewhat mysterious characters, are there yet more secrets ?

Is there more to than what met the eye about Hubbard, his mother and the Nervous Nelly from the dress shop that was Soooo in love with him; is she somehow responsible for his untimely death? Seemed a bit funny to me!

Love this show. Where there only 4 episodes? IF so that really sucks! I was going to do my autoprogram for Bunheads today (7/2/2012) and it is not to be found. Good shows like this seem to vanish but the mindless/obtuse/vulgar reality shows procreate like rabbits.

I disagree with Nicole this show is amazing and make it or break it was dumb. It’s a new fresh idea about dancers not cheerleaders

Halie July 5, 2012 at 8:21 am

Ummm they were not cheerleaders. And how would you know if it was dumb if you obviously dont watch it?cuz if u actually watched it you would know that they are GYMNASTS. And i watched bunheads… not because it was good but because i know that fans get really upset when the shows they watch get cancelled so i was just watching to put in my ratings but now i wont watch it anymore because of you. so dont judge things when you dont even watch them

I was a huge Gilmore Girls fan and I already love Bunheads. I agree that the second episode was not as good as the first but the third was wonderful. I hope ABC Family will give it time to find it’s footing.

Just cancel it! Bring back Make It or Break It! This show has bad actors, especially the teenage ones! The only decent actors are the older ones, like Sutton Foster. Just cancel it, please.

I seriously hope this program is renewed! I really wish it would become a fall regular. I love the writing of Amy Sherman Palladino. I was a Gilmore Girls fan and I already am thoroughly enjoying Bunheads. I love Amy’s wit and quirkiness. She also has a lot of depth to her episodes on life issues that can be found within the quirkiness. The cast members feel like friends and Sutton is doing a fabulous job carrying her part. Kelly is great as well and I am very excited to see the characters develop. Please please keep this show. There are not enough fun and lighthearted programs on television. I am sick to death of reality shows and actually have really never watched them other than American Idol, and I am finished with that one. Life is too heavy as it is, this one is fun!

We really liked the first episode and the characters, and gave it a B+. An interesting twist of her giving in to the “nice guy.” The second one was too much repetitive talking and situations. The mom was irritating. Should be more fun. Gave it a C+. Tried the third one and it got better again, (bec. there were some new story lines), giving it a B-. The interaction between the mom and new wife is way too long and boring. The writer traditionally likes to make storylines that include “fast talking” but that’s different than “lots of words.” Don’t fill gobs of time with a single subject…get to the point and move on…like the scene about the “private road.” I didn’t need a Whole episode of outrageous memorial costs, or constant repetition about what mom will do now that new-wife owns the house…incl. the dumb tea pot scene..way overdone. The 4 girls I’m slowly getting to know better, and they are pretty good. I dont know if we will try it again… “Gilmore Girls” was so much better; that is why I tried this one.

I actually like the fast talk and the “gobs of time” with a single subject. Sutton is pulling it off very well. Gilmore Girls was great, grossly underwatched, should have carried a few more seasons. But this one is fun as well and needs to be different than Gilmore Girls. I already feel like I am watching old friends. I personally hope that Palladino continues to write the script in the same fashion. She is brilliant in my opinion, and I won’t apologize for my opinion.
