Cancelled or Ended TV Shows Among 2013 Emmy Nominees

emmy awards 2013The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for 2013 Emmy awards. On the list, you can find shows that have ended or have been cancelled, including The Big C, Political Animals, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, 30 Rock, and Enlightened.

Jason Bateman picked up a nomination for the revival of Arrested Development on Netflix. The service’s House of Cards landed several nominations.

The awards will be given out on Sunday, September 22, 2013 and the ceremony will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

Fringe was definitely one of my top five shows ever.
Walter Bishop, played by John Noble, was as iconic
as Archie Bunker or Spock. The Character interplay
and dynamic was so strong and human. I miss the show
terribly and hope we will see a movie soon.

It shows how crappy network shows are and how the great supporting actors are glammed over. John Noble of Fringe has NEVER been nominated and should have been for the FIVE years that Fringe has been on. He deserved it even if it was cancelled.

Political Animals really deserved a second season, it’s sad that USA isn’t the network it used to be

It’s amazing how most of the nominees are from shows on cable networks (Showtime, HBO, Netflix, FX, etc). It’s too bad that those from CBS, NBC, NBC or FOX were not recognized more because there are A LOT of good actors/actresses/shows on those networks….

I bet next year we will see Kiefer sutherland as Jack Bauer on the Emmy list
