It would be a huge mistake to cancel Catle. I wonder if they count the number of people who simply cannot watch it on the designated day and watch it on websites like HULU? We liked Castle so much we ordered the previous season dvds and books. The banter is great and camradarie between all the characters is fun. Has America really become so pathertic that if i isn’t reality, it is worth keeping on the tv? Reality shows are simply a way to minimize paying for real stars. Let tv be fun agian with shows like Castle instead.

I could care less about dancing with the dumb stars. I never watch it, but I always watch castle no matter what. I am over 45 and I hate all of the so called reality garbage. It seems you don’t have that many good shows and to end the season with becket’s supposed death was terrible. If you were going to end the show you could have ended it ona happy note. What kind of idiotic writers do you have? This might be the last time I watch ABC ever. I like body of proof and I will probably watch that but those two shows are all you have as far as I am concerned. A A very sad fan.

Why in the world would you take a tv show off the air when it has such a great chemistry among the actors. Pull your heads out of your butt’s and keep it going.
Besides Chuck on NBC and Castle there isn’t anything worth while watching on Monday night. Cancel Castle and I will boycott ABC for life. Television today really sucks, get rid of all of these “reality” shows and put something on that is worth while. If you people believe that some woman or man can fall in “love” in however many episodes you show.
How many of them got married or stayed together after the show NONE. This is the reason we watch alot of the cable channels.

When Dancing with the Stars is finished for the season, we look forward to seeing Castle. Last year, we followed the reruns on Wednesdays until Dancing started again this year.
Castle stands on its own. If you move it around and turn it on, then turn it off, with no announcements, how can people know where to watch. For people like me and like my husband, it is so frustrating, we give up on all TV. DO YOU HEAR? WE LOVE CASTLE!
It is well acted; it has attractive actors who all play well off each other; it has humor as well as serious moments. It has everything.

The only show worth watching on Monday night and you want to cancel it? No wonder I am reading so much more these days. Let us at least enjoy Castle. It is well done, can be viewed with the family, (so little is available for PG viewing) and the characters are good looking. I enjoy the plot twists, the music is great, the family dynamic in Castle really drew me as I am the grandmother in our family. We all enjoy it!

i missed the entire first season assuming it was more network garbage….after hearing enough people i know raving about it i found season one online and i am completely hooked. nathan fillion is great and…whoever place detective becket…is gorgeous. the story is great the dynamic between the characters is fantastic. more more more. only thing i might suggest is a bigger seasonal story arch and less episodic. maybe chasing a serial killer throughout the entire season while breaking it up with other cases in between…i dunno…great show though.

Nathan Fillion has has such a bad run of luck with his television series but I have loved everything I have ever seen him in and I am huge fan of Castle. I’ve gotten a large group of people completely hooked on it. I hope this show stays around for a long time. Most of the stuff on TV is crap these days. I hate the not so real realitly crap that is everywhere but I will tune in to Castle as long as it runs.

The TV show Castle has completely changed my life, believe it or not! It is the only series on television that I make a point to watch. I had even went and bought the seasons. The show is very inspiring and it deserves 100% to stay on. Canceling that show would be awful! It is the first ever “cop show” of its kind that can actually hold most peoples interest! Mystery is my favorite genre and Castle is one of the most entertaining on TV. The fact that Castle is very into the police action and also into taking care of his daughter is a wonderful combination of emotions. His humorous way of looking at homicide scenes takes away from what is normally a very somber event. Keeps the storyline fresh. I love the fact that his shield has “Writer” on it instead of “Police”. That’s hysterical. PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE AIR. But please do not put any love story into it. The relationship between Castle and Kate is fine the way it is.

Well, I think abc should move castle from the 10:oo slot to 9:00 for now, until DWTS comes back then either put it back to 10:00 or move it to another night….
We love this show, its funn, witty and there’s definitely some chemistry between Castle and Beckett.

The best show on TV other than The Mentalist. Dancing With the Stars was a terminal bore this season. Third- or fourth-tier celebrities, that insufferable trio of has-beens as judges, and Donny Osmond the winner? Be serious. Castle made it all worthwhile. Without Castle at 10:00, we’d never have bothered with DWTS. Castle is a smart, witty, stylish show for grownups. We will be very disappointed if ABC cancels it.

I finally find a show I really look forward to and it is in danger of being canceled. When I can’t be home I set my DVD to make certain I don’t miss anything. does that even show up on the networks gauge? Could the ratings be down because it is possible to go on line to see episodes you possibly missed? Does the next work take into account all the people that go to hulu or one of the other sites that allow fans to catch all the action? I for one will be tuning in each week. Keep Castle going. It is one of the few entertaining shows on.

It better not be cancelled. There are two kinds of the TV, reality shows and non-reality shows. With-in those two kinds of T.V. there are many catergories. The most important catergory is the TV that sucks, and the TV that doesn’t. Castle doesn’t suck. In fact, it is one of the only shows that does not fall into that catergory. So ABC can join the rest of the world in replacing a really good non reality drama (Which has really good ratings for a non-reality show.), and replace with a reality TV show because there aren’t enough of those people exploiting popularity contests already…Or, Or ABC will be smart and keep a show that is good, and relies on ACTING. I’m 26 yrs old. Am I the only one who remembers what it was like to be allowed to stay up late and watch TV shows like the Commish, Macgyver, Mash, and Law and Order (before it became a Soap Opera.)? We need more shows like Castle.

I look forward to this show every week. Each member of the cast relates well to the other members, sort of a family relationship (remember the Dick van Dyke Show). The story isn’t so heavy where you become stressed at the horrible things that are happening.
It’s always fun trying to figure out who did it, and listening to Rick and Kate with their amusing takes on what is happening.
This show deserves to be on for many more seasons.

I can’t believe you would even consider canceling Castle. I is a very entertaining enjoyable show. The only reason I turn on Dancing with the Stars is that it seems to hang on longer while I wait for Castle to come on at 10 p.m.
Shows like this one should be duplicated. It puts a new spin on crime shows.
The book stores can’t keep the series based book on the shelves. (Nickie Heat).
Putting on another dance show on in it’s place November 23rd is not good planning.

I can’t honestly imagine watching Dancing with the Stars or any similar show. Blech! I mean no disrespect to reality tv fans. The whole genre just isn’t my thing. Castle, on the other hand, is a surprisingly charming show. The more I watch it, the more I enjoy it. It’s prompted me to explore Nathan Fillian’s other work: I just bought and watched the Firely series on DVD, and bought Castle season 1 on DVD to watch over the Thanksgiving break. It’s a terrific show, and I hope you’ll keep the show going.

It was fun to escape with the charterers and try to figure out what the mystery or the plots might be? All of the reality junk is clogging the airwaves too! Let’s keep some mystery and drama on TV?? Also, I can not stand watching Dancing with the Stars. Nobody lives like those people! You shove it down our throats on a daily basis. I’m sick of it!! I agree with Kate. I would so much rather watch a show with a story line, or, at the very least, TALENT, than stupid B-list celebs making fools of themselves. Remember “Murder, She Wrote”? That was on for like 12 seasons. With the SAME actors, even! Why can’t we do that anymore?

Keep Castle. And keep Eastwick too, while you’re at it. Both are funny and cute and entertaining. Best of all, they’re not depressing, like Grey’s always is. Otherwise, my TV is going off, and, like Kate, you can find me at the library.

Dancing With the Stars is like a wedding reception and panders to voyeurs. FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance is a much better reality show, IMHO, because their dancers actually have talent and inspire others.

Castle is a bright, interesting, well-written show, which means it will probably be cancelled. It has drama, wit, humor, quality camera work and editing, excellent directing, great sets/locations, and an excellent cast, so it’s not long for this world, if ABC execs are true to form. It would be nice to see the television industry return to producing more intelligent entertainment like this that makes people think and use their imagination. Keeping Castle on the air for another few seasons would be a step in that direction.

Oh well, anything for a buck, even selling out integrity and creativity, so Castle will probably only see two seasons. Guess I’ll invest in more books and go it unplugged again if I can’t get good stories on TV anymore.

Love Castle, can’t stand DWTS. It’s definitely a character relationship show. The mystery plots aren’t that suspensful, but if that’s all you’re looking for watch CSI or Criminal Minds. It’s my favorite guilty pleasure show; Castle & Beckett have great chemistry.

ps — never bothering with DWTS, on Monday nights I turn from House to DVR-recorded Heroes (there’s nothing else I want to watch from 8-9 Central time) to Castle at 9pm. That’s switching around among three different networks. I wonder how many viewers come directly to Castle (as I do) **without** watching DWTS or anything previous on ABC that night — ? ABC should look into that: we’re not all ballroom fans.

Castle is one of those rare shows that has smart, witty dialogue and plotlines that strike a nice balance between an intelligent whodunit/police procedural and sly, dry semi-romantic comedy. It’s a fun romp and a delightful opportunity to see Fillion and Katic stretch their acting muscles in this direction. Charming Fillion (who knew from Firefly that the dour former space captain could be so debonair??) and the lovely Katic (who knew she could nab ‘em and book ‘em with the best?!) have unmistakable , infectious chemistry. They’re a treat to watch, as is Susan Sullivan in a shrewd diva turn as Castle’s suitably dramatic mom. All in all, great fun — hope it stays on for several seasons!

Castle is a GREAT show! i hate dwts. dont watch it, i just tune in for castle. its a great show!!!! Its by far one of the best shows ABC has. i think the show is better off at a 9pm slot. abc should really try that out, take out shark tank and put in castle!

I don’t watch “Dancing with the Stars”, but do tune in to ABC to watch (and DVR) “Castle” every time it’s on. I *love* this show. I started watching it because Nathan Fillion was in it and I love him from his work with Joss Whedon on Buffy, Firefly and Dr. Horrible. The show has exceeded my expectations. Every show has a murder to be solved, but the show itself is really more about the relationships of the main characters. It’s really witty and funny. The show never fails to make me smile and always keeps me wanting more and looking forward to the next episode. It’s also kind of cool that they expand the show beyond the actual episodes themselves via twitter (@WriteRCastle) and actually publishing a book called “Heat Wave” by Richard Castle. It adds to the whole fan experience!
