Like everyone is saying on every website I’ve found about “Chuck” this show is one of the most enjoyable on TV. My husband and I make a date every Monday night. We get home, cook dinner, and watch TV while we eat.

This show is fun for everyone. I don’t have to worry about my niece and nephews walking in on something inappropriate for their age on the screen. This show keeps us coming back for more, and I know this would be one home that would be sadly disappointed in the network if they took this show off the air.

Please consider carefully how many family shows are on the major networks and how many a family can actually sit down and watch together.

If Monday night is struggling, then move “Chuck” to another night. This would be a great anchor show for another night. Keep family time alive!

Have these networks never heard of DVRs? Easier to use than VCRs ever were, I find myself recording a lot of shows and watching them later, either because I have other obligations or other shows at the same time.

I’ve already lost Pushing Daisies. I’m not willing to lose Chuck.

There are so many ways to watch shows now, and many pairs of eyes watching per TV. In my house we have two in the 49+ and two in the 13-18 range. We are selective about what we watch and many shows are watched together.

As an example, we watch both House and Chuck (same time slot) – how is that captured? Which show is counted in the stats?

A lot of people I have talked about this with agree: the writing and series concepts much sharper and clever than I can recall, possibly forever (unless you go back to B&W TV with Rod Serling, Yul Brynner, Paddy Chayevsky, Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, even), but the series are seeing stars of high talent (Glenn Close, Hugh Laurie, Forrest Whitaker, Kyra Sedgwick, Holly Hunter, Michael Imperioli, Harvey Keitel, etc). Before the past 2 or 3 seasons, the last great (direction, story, cleverness, acting) TV show I can recall: Twin Peaks.

Back to my original point: figure out better ways to count viewership. Here’s a wacky idea that would kill: Treat the season’s shows like contestants on Idol. Ask viewers to vote for their favorites, rather than using old-school Nielsen methods. Follow with a low-cost reality TV results show.

Let’s see, on NBC we watch:

we don’t really watch anything else on NBC. Against these three shows, NBC means No Better Choices.

For Chuck to tell his secret to his future brother-in-law. Well I was cheering him on. Devons reaction was well…AWESOME. To finally tell someone his secret it was almost to me feeling a weight was lifted off of my shoulders.

Bravo on the show writers, actors and crew members.

I even got a call from my friends and family asking if I had watched the episode. They loved it too.

Even though the numbers aren’t high for the networks. This show is quite an unusual and unique show. Just what the networks need. Keep us on our toes and entertained.

So keep Chuck on for a very long time.

CSI in the demo had a 3.8 and a 2.1 in the demo which is a lot less the DWTS, granted Idol is a lot higher but to say that all nights are tough is just not true. You also say the shows ratings also suck, it has averaged 2.4 all year in the demo which for NBC is higher than their avg so I guess it depends on what you consider “sucks”.

Again I am a fan of the show but I am also realistic about the shows chances, but when something that is said that is not true I just wanted to point it out. Now I am not going to respond to anything you post which I am sure you will because I dont want to get into any word contest with you, but for you to call me arrogant when all I was doing was stating facts that were wrong in the post, I personally dont find that arrogant and that you calling me that I find a little arrogant. (just saying)

Toughest night on TV? How about going up against young-skewing American Idol or CSI? Weeknights are all pretty tough.

Chuck is not a hit. I personally enjoy it so I hope it gets renewed but comments like Steve’s just piss me off.

Nothing against Heroes…for reasons unknown I still watch it while it continues to disappoint me week after week…but why save it and kill Chuck? That makes no sense at all. I’m not holding my breath but it’d be amazing if someone granted both Chuck and Kings a stay of execution.

Online streaming (Hulu, NBC.com) is taken into consideration but in reality equates to a very small percentage of a network show’s audience.

When are the TV stations, the MPAA and the RIAA going to learn that their business model and concept of what is popular is usually extremely far from reality.
