Continuum: Season Three Starts April 4th

Continuum season threeSyfy has released some additional details about the upcoming third season of Continuum. The 13 new episodes start airing on Friday, April 4th, at 10pm.

Here’s the press release:

NEW YORK – March 24, 2014 – Love and loyalty clash when Syfy’s popular time traveling police drama Continuum returns for Season 3 on Friday, April 4 at 10PM (ET/PT).

At the end of Season 2, Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen) made the Earth-shattering decision to hijack Kiera’s (Rachel Nichols) chance to get home, in order to save Emily, the girl he loves, from certain death.

This act of desperation condemned Kiera to incarceration by the Freelancers, who are ‘collecting’ time travelers to protect history. Now, Kiera must face the consequences of Alec’s betrayal and somehow escape the Freelancers.

Continuum co-stars Victor Webster (Castle, Melrose Place) as detective Carlos Fonnegra and Erik Knudsen (Jericho, Scream 4), who plays teen tech genius Alec Sadler.

Executive producers of Continuum are series creator Simon Barry (The Art of War), Pat Williams (Smallville), and Tom Rowe (Tin Man). Continuum is a Showcase original series and is produced by Reunion Pictures in association with Shaw Media.

One of the best series on the air. Great plots, wonderful cast and I hope they have the ratings to do another season.

Have peeked at the Canadian start, dreadful mess they are trying for too much and I am signing off on this one after 1.5 episodes in s 3. Good luck to the rest of you. I loved this series and had high hopes. Dashed.

I will absolutely watch season 3 of Continuum! One of the rare shows to capture my attention within a few episodes I am perplexed at how the story will play out from this point with the way season 2 ended. My problem is I want justice, Kiera’s return to her family (though I don’t trust her husband), while Alec resolving himself of having to relive the life that he sent them back to change as it appears to be for the greater good. I don’t know how that could possibly work out, but I do hope the journey somehow continues with the two of them as allies as that is an entertaining paradox in the making. Because of the time travel element the storyline is limitless, but I don’t care for the sudden introduction of the freelancers who seem to have dominance over all with unknown objectives. I just hope the show gets a chance to live to conclusion and end complete like Breaking Bad and other good shows that had a chance to build a following and finish the story with quality, not based on ratings and simply failing to stay on the air.
