The eighth season of Criminal Minds typically airs on Wednesday nights at 9pm on the CBS network. The cast includes Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Matthew Gray Gubler, and Shemar Moore.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Criminal Minds is going to be cancelled or renewed for season nine.

Final season averages: 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.43 million total viewers.

Compared to its season premiere a year ago, the show was down by 24% in the demo (vs a 4.1 rating) and down by 17% in viewers (vs 14.14 million).

Reference point: The seventh season averaged a 3.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 12.63 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

I really like Criminal Minds show and I hope you have no plans to cancell it. There are too many reality shows which I dislike, so please… don’t take CM off the air!!!

Don’t cancel this show. My favorite and I went back to watch all the old shows. It’s clever and I like the characters. What I don’t like us missing episodes the channels skip over when I want to see them all. Keep it up. Good shiw. I get Attached to the charactets. When Hotch loat his wife that was hard but a bery good show.

I love this show, I hope they don’t cancel this show. Wouldn’t it be nice to see Morgan and Penelope get together in season nine? That would be a nice twist of events.

Don’t take this off the air! This has been the best season ever, not sure if you have gotten new writers or went to the FBI for ideas. We have to record it like most people. Don’t cancel please

I just hope they’ll renew it for a ninth season. This show is amazing, the actors are great, and no episode is ever the same… So please, let the be a ninth season!!!

Renewal of Criminal Minds will keep me watching CBS. It’s my favorite show, and literally my only occasion to tune into CBS. This show is thought provoking, intelligent and addictive.
