Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior: CBS Series Cancelled; No Season Two

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior canceled season twoA day before the network’s official upfront presentation for advertisers, CBS has cancelled Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. The spin-off will end after just one season.

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior follows a highly-trained team of agents who operate within the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). They use unique and hard-hitting tactics to bring down some of the country’s most dangerous felons. The TV series stars Forest Whitaker, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Kelly, Beau Garrett, Matt Ryan, and Kirsten Vangsness.

While spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles got off to an immediate great start back in 2009, the same can’t be said for CBS’ latest spin-off, Suspect Behavior. In February, it debuted to a 3.3 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic and 13.06 million viewers. That was a solid start but then the second episode dropped 27% to a 2.4 rating and 9.8 million. By the fourth episode, it had fallen to a 2.2 demo rating.

Should Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior have been cancelled?

The ratings have gone up and down a bit over the course of the season but has gone as low as a 2.1 in the demo a couple times. It currently averages a 2.4 rating and 9.84 million viewers, more than a whole point below its lead-in and parent series, Criminal Minds. Those numbers put it squarely on the bubble for renewal.

There was talk about bringing Suspect Behavior back for another round, possibly after doing a revamp, but the network’s decided against it. They likely have other procedurals waiting in the wings that believe can do better so CBS has cancelled Suspect Behavior after one season.

TV show supportA baker’s dozen of episodes have been produced and so far, 11 of them have aired. The remaining two are expected to run tomorrow and next Wednesday night, May 25th, as previously scheduled.

The series finale is called “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and finds the team tracking a serial killer who randomly shoots people in crowded areas.

What do you think? Are you sorry that Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior won’t be back for a second season? Why do you think this one didn’t catch on?

Why why why did they do that?! That is one of the best shows ever! I have watched criminal minds and the suspect behaviour! Both are some of the most AMAZING shows to hit the uk! Let alone the world! I say bring it back and be rid of shows that have no point what so ever. I say they should put it to a vote and then see if they should bring it back or not. Oh and to everyone that says its rubbish and no good. Then you wouldn’t know a good show if it grew out of your skin and bit you on the butts. I’m sorry but that is just what I think.

Very upset that they left everyone hanging. They could have at least had some closure if they were going to end the series.

I really think that the show should come back…I am really disappointed that it was cancelled and I hope that it comes back. I just love everyones character and believe in Season 2 making it. Not knowing if Beth’s character dies is frustrating. I was hopeing not because I really like her character. I wish Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior would come back this year. It would be great if it did. Please bring it back!!!!

I am gutted that suspect behaviour has been cancelled, and they have not given it a proper chance to see if it’s for keeps or not, I mean we are just starting to get to know the characters and their backgrounds and watching this such a new team u can tell but in a good way, it’s interesting to watch and forest whitaker is absolutely brilliant in it. I was left wanting to watch sooo much more and having to know what happens next? It’s sooo frustrating! It was also really good to have the interaction between both suspect behaviour and the original criminal mind, normally the shows are against each other. BRING BACK CRIMINAL MINDS SUSPECT BEHAVIOUR. SEASON 2!!!

It was just as good as the original Criminal Minds, it is just as good as NCIS LA, so how come it isnt being kept on to make at least a 2nd season so they can wrap up what happens to Beth if she is dead or not, and keep going a little and then make it decent end to the season if they cancel it

I totally agree. I am left wondering if she died or not? This is annoying! If they were gonna cut it at least have a quick episode and put it online so we can all be content with knowing what happens!
