Crossbones: Cancelled? NBC Series Shipped to Saturdays

Crossbones TV show on NBCNBC has decided that their low-rated Friday night drama, Crossbones, will now wrap with a pair of episodes on Saturday August 2nd. The installments had previously been set for Friday, August 1st and Friday, August 8th.

Though the network hasn’t said that Crossbones has been cancelled, the ratings have been terrible and it’s highly unlikely to return for a second season.

it was a good show but clearly the people over an NBC aren’t too intelligent and made the decision to air this show friday night during the summer. No wonder NBC is having trouble competing with other stations and their prime time television line-up.

Noticed that Crossbones was not on this evening and searched the listings to find it on Saturday, which worried me as a time slot change usually doesn’t bode well for a TV show. I sincerely hope this show keeps on. I am (was) a Bluebloods fan in the time slot that Crossbones aired in so I was late to get into the show. Discovered it on demand and got hooked with the first episode. I caught up and been loyally watching it for last month and a half or so.

I love the serial nature of the plot and the story. Unfortunately though with this sort of show you have to keep up to know what is going on– so many great characters and little subplots running throughout. It is a breath of fresh air for someone with half a brain that enjoys history– I can’t stand “reality” television (except Wipeout :p). I thought the show extremely well done– up there with Game of Thrones. The last episode with the trephine and Nena’s activities kept me on edge– really enjoyed it and think it has been building and getting better and better. Please do not cancel this!

This show is wonderful and I love everything about it. I amsad and angry that more idiot reality TV exists than superb dramas like this. Too many big words for the common man, I fear. Please give it a better time slot and another season!!

It figures that Crossbones has low ratings. It is, after all, excellent television, a rarity among the usual drivel we find on our screens. The acting is superb, and the scripts are intelligent, exciting, and engaging. Why wouldn’t most Americans prefer Big Brother? I am sick unto death of getting excited that there is a quality series, investing myself in it, only to find that once again the schedule will be dumbed down for greater ratings. Come on, guys. Give this one a chance.

Crossbones is the only thing I’ll watch in that date/time slot. It’s excellent, excellent acting, excellent show.
To air that creepy kidnapped ALLEGED kidnapped “victim” Hannah Anderson, publicity whore who may have very well committed the ragefull murder of her mother and brother is a travesty of justice for the true victims. She is a deceptive liar, not an innocent victim. You should be ashamed of your association with their money grubbing publicist STACY HESS. You are all profiteering off of the deaths of an innocent mother & little boy to focus on a wretched evil teenager who has never wiped that insidious grin from her “victimized” face. You are shameful.

Really hacked that NBC wants to cancel Crossbones. It’s become one of my favorites. I think the day/time it comes on is poor, since I’m usually out by that time on Fridays, but another day and time would be awesome. Keep it and give it a chance!
