I loved Crusoe. This series should never have been cancelled. It actually had values and adventure that have been lost in the pop culture of anything goes society we now have in the U.S.
If you enjoyed the series I suggest you read the book as well.

i am 15 years old watch the Bachelor and many other raved about shows. i think that NBC should just have done more advertising on the show because i didn’t even know about it until one day when i had nothing better to do so i started watching it but now i love Crusoe and even went to 20 different sites before i could watch the episodes online. i really hope they don’t cancel the show its one of those honest shows with adventure, action and a interesting plot line. what makes it even better is that it is different from so many other shows out there.

I am 53, and I really don’t understand why the networks are targeting the younger crowd for their decisions..they don’t watch much tv (they are usually out at the bars and restaurants , or on the computer internet- at least my 18-27 offspring are) and they don’t have much spending money (If they do, they aren’t watching tv!!). It is us older folk….the 45-60 that have the money, the time and the inclination to watch a good show. ….. No I don’t watch Bachelor, I survived a Japanese Game Show, any Vampire or teen reality show….I watch superior made show such as Robinson Crusoe, Lost, Journeyman (now cancelled too), Tudors (Showtime), Rome (HBO) etc

We loved watching Crusoe and admired that it was a clean action show and could easily be watched as a family. We NEED more shows like that. We are really disappointed that a second season won’t be airing. Looks like a lot of people think it would be worth finishing out.

Robinson Crusoe is one of the most interesting, well-acted, shows I’ve ever seen!!Each episode is like a movie! It’s fun; the dialog is great; the plots are never boring with the inventions and all the adventure; and the special effects are great!!

I went out and bought the DVD as soon as it was released! Hopefully, another TV channel will pick the series up. This series is just too fantastic to have been canceled!

This was about the only show on television that had good values, adventure and was a pleasure to watch. It’s sad that so many shows that cannot be comfortably ,watched with the younger generation seem to proliferate while truly worthwhile and entertaining shows get canceled. Please bring it back!

DAMN IT! i hate wen this happen. If they know that it wouldn’t be a second season, they should finished the storyline of the show properly, NOT HANGING LIKE THAT (episode 13) at least ,

1. let crusoe return back to his family
2. a rescue ship found them & reeturn bck

I agree that Crusoe should’ve been kept, but only because it’s family-friendly programming. Sure, things got a bit gruesome towards the end with people dying and whatnot, but overall, it didn’t have any more violence than the common cartoon, right? I watched Crusoe religiously, because it was an adventure series, but it wasn’t as great as, say, Hercules or Xena. Still, I would’ve kept watching… sigh.

sell the series to other country’s (for example here in holland we also got ncis, csi, house, the border etc ) i guess it will make enough profit to make new episodes… and you will get a bigger audience

Crusoe was something that my whole family watched. It’s about the only regular television I have watched in the last year. I can’t believe how much crap there is on TV these days. Hey NBC how about if I just cancel my DishNetwork deal entirely because there is nothing but endless commercials and crap programming? The problem is that you’ll never know–all you pay attention to is Nielson I guess.

Network execs and their sponsored advertisers are completely out of touch with American audiences. They rely too much on Nielson rating machines (which I’ve never seen), and their silly polls that try and target 18 to 20 somethings who spend most of their time out in clubs on Fridays and Saturdays and only watch TV if there is a “hottie” they can relate to. For the rest of us Intelligent viewing audience, we are neglected & forgotten. My Family loved Crusoe. I guess we’ll be stuck with the next “Bachelor” show or maybe just have more family reading nights.

It is a good show just as all of the shows NBC cancels you would think they would have heard of a DVR. That is how I watch most of the TV shows I watch. The DVR is one of the best inventions. It allows me the viewer to choose what I watch, when I watch and eliminate all of the trash i.e. adds for the raunchy shows that NBC never cancels.

BOOOOOO!!!!!! HISSSSSS!!!!! I LOVE THIS SHOW. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST CREATIVE ACTION, ROMANCE, ADVENTURE, DRAMAs I’VE SEEN IN YEARS. As my wife and I often chide, it is normally the good shows that get cancelled in favor of the cheap tripe that brings in the 18 to 30 crowd. This is (I believe) because older, more intelligent people aren’t easily swayed by stupid advertisements. 18 – 30 year olds are most easily swayed by the commercials, and so become the target audience.

…i wonder… do the networks, for example: NBC, look at tvseriesfinale.com to see these petitions, or is this just some sort of way to keep us all occupied? do they take the time to look at the complaints of people? I don’t know the answer to that, but I hope they do, and I hope they take the proper steps to satisfying their viewers, based on our comments and petitions… it’s a strange world out there, and the show Crusoe had so much inspiration that filled me, but it was all broken when i only RECENTLY heard that it was cancelled. AND I REALLY WANT THAT INSPIRATION TO CONTINUE WITH A BETTER CHANCE: better TIME SLOT most especially!!!
i need this show to come back; it’s important to a small percentage of us, right now, though i think if people knew about it, the show would have more viewers and would increase to a larger percentage, and it should succeed!

AMAZING SHOW!!! they say it was advertised a lot, but I never saw any of those advertisments.So if I didn’t see them, a whole bunch of other people did not see them either. And there are also many online viewers such as me since I’m not always there to catch the show, and the schedule was even more confusing when it was changed. My brother and sister just happened upon it and we all watched it and loved it EXTREMELY!!! It’s a quality show that wasn’t another junk tv show that kills people’s minds! Philip Winchester is great, and all the other actors and actresses as well!!!
It can’t end now… it really made me upset to hear this news Please bring it BACK!

My husband and I loved watching Crusoe and wondered why the episodes stopped airing. I can’t believe it’s been cancelled. It was beautifully produced and had a great cast. It was a refreshing change from the recycled, trashy, violence and profanity-filled series currently on the air. NBC should at least film a final episode that gives closure to the viewers.

I’m 56 and my sister is 70 and we love this show. And like so many others it was moved and interrupted until it didn’t have a chance. I always wonder why they even start a new show that has a continuing story line, when they have no intention of ending it with the story completely told. They just leave you in the air. Like they did on a show call Surface. We never knew the rest of the story. It’s a shame that viewers are done this way. But I want do it again. If the story can’t be told in one week. Then I’m not interested in it anymore.

I really liked this show, it’s a shame it’s cancelled. Although I knew it was doomed from the start being on on Friday nights and then even more so when it was moved to Saturday nights. They really should have one more concluding episode with him being reunited with his family — maybe even make it a two-hour finale to fill in all the blanks.

My grandson and I watch this show together. It has gotten him interested in reading the original book. He is all about the adventure. I like the fact that the two main characters are men who take their morals very seriously which is a good role model for a young boy. Please don’t cancel this series without at least bringing it to a conclusion.

I don’t know if the show has been officially canceled. I hope not because this is the only show that my son and I go out of our way to sit down and watch. I think that TV can be a bad influence on young minds, so I am very concerned about some of the content that my son see on TV today. I would have to say that I have NO PROBLEM letting my son watch this show 24-7!!!!!!!!!! I hope that the person who makes the final word looks at all the crap show that are out there and realize that we the public deserve a show that everyone at any age can watch. I am so tired of the big wigs of NBC, CBS, and ABC canceling good shows. I can truly say that if the show is not renewed they have lost a TV watcher. This show is one of the only reason I pay for cable. If the show is canceled I can positively say that my cable with be canceled the very next day.

Crusoe has been the best show I’ve watched on tv in an extremely long time. If you’re going to cancel a great show like Crusoe then there really is no point in watching tv, unless ofcourse, you enjoy watching violence, hearing bad language in almost every sentence, and seeing women, and sometimes men degrading themselves. I live in a family of five. I’m fiteen, my sister is fourteen, and my brother is eight, and we couldn’t get enough of Crusoe. After finding out that it wasn’t going to be aired anymore, we decided that watching anything else was a waste of time. Why do you have to push for a younger generation anyway? Also, some people don’t have time to watch it every single week, they might be on vacation or have somwhere to go. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they aren’t ever going to watch it again. I think NBC should have given the show a better chance.

Honestly, If you are going to cancel what I think has been the best show on tv in a very long time, then really there’s no point in watching tv. Most families like to sit down and watch a show that has no bad language, very little violence, great morals, and suspense. Even if you lose viewers that doesn’t mean you should stop airing the show. I think that there should have been more time to see when people watched it. I mean some people can’t watch it every single time it airs, they might have somewhere to go.
I am part of a family of five. I’m the oldest sibling at fifteen, I have a sister who is fourteen, and a brother who is eight. My parents even watch it!

I love this show! This is what TV used to be when I was a kid. . I was very impressed that television was reverting back to its more intellectual days by reinvigorating CLASSIC LITERATURE. Screw those trashy reality shows about people whose lives are even more meaningless, vapid and boring than our own. How about a beautifully constructed, engaging story for once? Shame on NBC for canceling one of the only show on television that parents can safely allow their children to watch without fear of turning their brains to mush.

NBC doomed the series from the start with poor planning. Why on earth would you STOP SHOWING EPISODES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIRST SEASON?!?! Did they want it to fail?

As for demographics, I am a 20 year old sorority girl in southern California and I absolutely love this show! I mean, I watch Gossip Girl, etc. for trashy kicks, but “Crusoe” offers something more, something that is being lost within our sad culture, if you can even call it that.

Philip Winchester is lovely; had NBC publicized him more they definitely would have acquired a loyal female fan following.

To all: If the show gets cancelled try reading the book. Remember reading? I promise it’s fun!

It was very poorly written for viewer understanding, but we loved it, and figured it would develop better in the last episodes. Even as such, it was far superior to the majority of the junk Hollywood sends into our homes, other than possibly one of two of the better comedies (two and half men) My ten year old son is very upset by not being able to see the finish, and is as confused by NBCs handleing of this as are we. The last episode was by far the best at unveiling the charcters and storyline some more, but then we knew at the rate and directin they were going, they could’n finish it. Please finish with the necessary four or five episodes or we also will never invest our time any other NBC series, knowing that they may be wasting our time.

the baby boom generation is your LARGEST demographic right now!!!
the largest consumer and TV viewing audience.
the LEAST you could have done is wrapped up Crusoe’s story line before canceling it mid-stream leaving us hanging.
like getting him off island, re-uniting him with family, and reuniting Friday with his family etc. But to just leave us hanging???
No wonder NBC is a piss poor network the last few years.
I will never invest my time into another NBC show again.

I broke the news to my 10 yr old son last night that Crusoe was going to be cancelled and there will be no more shows, and he was devastated. THANKS NBC! My son had so many questions last night and I had no answers for him. At least you could do is air a few more episodes and end it correctly.

Like others, I thoroughly enjoyed Crusoe. It’s entertaining, which is lacking in most tv shows. I, too, hope the execs keep the series, whether on NBC (which is doubtful) or another network. The storyline didn’t wrap up like a mini-series – ep.13 was left open (from Crusoe’s point of view, as well as Susannah’s) for more of the adventure. Please don’t cancel it!!!

This was a great series! Fun for the whole family. Unfortunately, I expect it will never return simply because it doesn’t offer the usual inuendo, sex, gore, and modern social ill that seems to fill almost every minute of airtime. My family looked forward to every episode.
