Dallas: Season Three Ratings

Dallas on TNT: cancel or renew? This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.

Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.

What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.

Dallas was well written capturing the chemistry of the original TV Series. Should have stayed with it. It would have found a larger audience It was a
mistake to cancel

HOW STUPID IS T.N.T. THEY GAUGED THERE RATING BY ASKING PEOPLE FROM 18-49, nobody under 50 watched the original Dallas , why did they not ask the viewers from 49 to 89. I am 54 and was a teenager in high school when Dallas came out, I didn’t watch it a lot but enough to know all the major cast and know who shot J.R ( the first time ) LOL BUT WHEN DALLAS 2012 came out I was happy to see the OLD CAST AGAIN. But the New show was TWICE AS GOOD AS THE ORIGNAL SHOW, DON’T BE A FOOL, ASK THE 49 thur 89 what WE THOUGHT, I SEE THE OLDER I GET , THE MORE PEOPLE PAY US NO ATTENTION. ……… I HOPE SOMEONE ELSE PICKS THE SHOW UP, CAUSE T.N.T DON’T KNOW WHAT A CLASSIC IS. I AM 54 and pissed off , J.RS (Larry Hagman)LAST WISH WAS TO KEEP THE SHOW GOING. So somebody KEEP IT GOING. ……. FROM A DIEHARD DALLAS 2012 FAN.

My husband and me , we’re faithful followers of the original one. We loved this second one. And where do they get the ratings. Do they even ask the people in the small towns
I sure hope they can bring it back!!

I would be very upset if Dallas is removed from the air. Just because JR isn’t going to be with us doesn’t mean you should cancel the show. Don’t be so petty about a few scores less due to the fact the public is upset on season due to the death of Larry Haggman, besides, John Ross with take his place. I’m excited to see the roll Bobby is going to play and become. Can’t Wait !!!

It was so nice to have this show come back,so it had a little more smut in it, I think that’s why a lot of people got upset, you can’t just drop that show,it was getting really good, now nothing.
