Dallas: Season Three Ratings

Dallas on TNT: cancel or renew? This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.

Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.92 million total viewers.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.

What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

Update: TNT has cancelled Dallas after three seasons. Details here.

I think this is outrageous….only the good shows are cancelled. Makes me want to never watch a new one again. Get rid of the reality shows!

Shows that are good get kicked to the curb. Shows that are not worth wasting people’s time stay on the air.

The list of shows on television that are worth watching, is getting shorter and shorter.

Dallas is worth watching. Please bring it back.

I was really entespating a season 4, only to be crushed when I found out it was canceled. Dallas was a very good show. Good luck finding a replacement.

The problem in my opinion with the ratings declining was they changed the night of the week the show aired. On Monday night, it was competing with the major network channels and shows like “Dancing with the Stars”. Put it on a mid week night like Wednesday, and the ratings will increase!

Loved the show, watched every episode! Please bring it back!

I am so sick and tired of the greedy producers that think a 1.92 isnt’t good enough. You might possibly cancel it despite the fact that you have avid viewers. one word BASTARDS bring it back for a on

I could not agree with you more. They should have never let this show go. They do need to bring it back.
