Dallas: Season Three Ratings

Dallas on TNT: cancel or renew? This will be the first full season of Dallas without Larry Hagman’s JR Ewing. Can the cast and producers continue to draw viewers and solid ratings without their quintessential bad guy? Will the new Dallas be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned to find out.

Airing on Monday nights, Dallas continues to follow the machinations of the dysfunctional and powerful Ewing clan. The cast includes Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell, Kuno Becker, and Juan Pablo Di Pace.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.

Reference point: The second season of the new Dallas averaged a 0.8 demo rating and 2.67 million viewers.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.

What do you think? Do you still like the Dallas series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

Just finished watching the AWESOME cliffhanger Episode 8 of Season 3 with our 10-person viewing group here in The City and, although we are all bummed that we have to wait until August to discover the fate of Sue Ellen, Bobby and Christopher, we are all ECSTATIC that there will be seven more smartly-written, expertly-produced, well-directed and EXTRAORDINARILY-acted episodes for us to enjoy in Season 3 and for MANY MANY SEASONS TO COME!! THX THX THX THX TNT FOR THIS AMAZING ENTERTAINMENT and, rest assured, we are patronizing ALL OF YOUR GREAT SPONSORS!!!

Season 3 is more like how Dallas used to be. It is brilliant and can’t wait for the 2nd half of it.

Hope TNT renew it for Season 4.

Thought season three had some very good episodes
But the 4/7 episode had to be one of the poorest written ones to date. It made very little sense even for Dallas. Drug cartels supposedly to take control of Ewing global? Really – how totally ridi culous!
pboney off shore companies- another dumb angle
The Vegas exchange was also bad and so out there that it was comical
Instead of having all these different angles each week;
there should be some developing of the storyline
I enjoyed the show and hope it gets anotber season

I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen from week to week! Loved Dallas in the late ’80′s and still love it now! Very impressed with the smart writing and the terrific actors but after waiting MONTHS for the new season, I can’t believe there is only one episode left! Disappointed! Hope producers see these reviews and make appropriate adjustments. Renew & extend season 4 PLEASE!

I really enjoy the show. Its really problem is that the producers have too few episodes to really take the time (like the original did) to develop story lines. I’ve been somewhat disappointed that some people from the old series have not been addressed. For example, when JR died, his last ex wife, Callie, was there, but no mention of her child, who was also JR’s? Also, when JR died, there was no mention of his son, James, and his grandson, who would be an adult by now………I realize that money talks and there is only so much to go around, but at least the characters that should be mentioned when things occur are mentioned. I’ve always believed that Katherine should return. Her shares were “given” to Pamela by her father Cliff presumably because Cliff had the power to give them. This suggests that Katherine is not dead. The st0ry would really screw John Ross up if somehow Katherine would return and re-claim her shares from Pamela in Barnes Global. In addition, since Pam and Jenna are no longer in Bobby’s life, she could renew her pursuit of him and be a rival to Ann Ewing. I read that Morgan Brittany would really enjoy returning to the role.

I hope it is renewed for many many seasons to come. I agree that the seasons should contain many more episodes. But let’s face it, its all about ratings and money.
