Never saw this appear on DVD, and my internet connection was incapable of downloading the episodes… We loved this show. Probably not much chance of the series being revived since the stars have gone off to other projects… but it sure would be nice if ABC would air the full season 1 in light of the writers strike.

It’s up now. FINALLY!!! Man, this show was good. And the finale hurt more. Totally bittersweet. Although it did answer alot of questions, it also showed the potential stories, characters, and situations that could have been explored had it returned for another season. ABC messed up on this one, but if you think about it, it was doomed before it ever began b/c of advertising it as a LOST “filler” show. I admit, I didn’t like it when I heard the whole “groundhog’s day” theme, but when it premiered, and I actually watched it, I loved it. I think alot of people thought like me, but didn’t watch it to give it a chance. Had they done so, they would have found a surprisingly smart drama, with good plot points and a balanced cast.

I swear that every episode of the show got better and better…and I as MANY other faithful fans have been watching online and waiting for that final episode to come out…Why is it that the execs always cancel the good shows and put more crappy reality tv on the air? A few years ago it was Tru Calling on FOX and now just this yr alone its been Justice on FOX, 3 Lbs on CBS, The Nine and most notably Day Break on ABC…
Sorry to tell you execs, but your way of calculating ratings SUCK! I can’t watch every show so I watch one and DVR another to watch later…poor ratings…? Yeah, well you are going to get even poorer ratings by showing “According to Jim” and “George Lopez” or that stupid “Knights of Prosperity”…I mean how did that show even get on the air…? I hope ABC is happy cause now I’m no longer even watching ANYTHING on their network…and this for a thought, Law and Order wasn’t successful its first season either! Guess its back to Cold Case, Prison Break, Friday Night Lights, and Numb3rs…yeah..no ABC in there anywhere…They really dropped the ball w/ Day Break bc man was I hooked!

Cancelling day Break was the biggest mistake that ABC has ever done; That show was so intese,kinda like prison break. Another net work should pick it up if ABc doesn’t want it. I know that the way the show was fomatted,it would eventually dry out,but just a few more changes in the plot would make it last atleast 3 seasons. Am a writer and i can tell.

Did anyone watch the latest episode online? There are some serious editing problems with it – ie, the commercial breaks bring you back at a different point in the storyline, then you pick up the missing part of the episode later (like a Tarantino flick). Couldn’t anyone at ABC have the decency to at least WATCH the online episode to realize that there is a problem? How much more can you disrespect your viewers? If they didn’t have Lost, I wouldn’t watch anything on ABC. Last year, after 1 season, they pulled Invasion, which I’ll admit, was a little cheesy, but a decent idea for a show, and left that storyline unresolved with a season ending cliffhanger… I agree with others that there’s no point in watching a multi-part continuation drama as you may enjoy it and it gets pulled.

We are utterly frustrated with the stupidity of the executives at ABC. Daybreak was probably the only program that we may have chosen over 24. What were you guys thinking?!!! Our entire family was hooked on Daybreak and, as so many has said before, we will never watch another of your pilots for fear of you pulling it for foolish reasons. I would suggest if you ever want loyalty from your viewers, again, I would consider picking the series up from where it is left off. Though the producers may request twice the budget now. Pardon me if this may come off a bit offensive, but my intentions mean no harm. This is one of the only shows on television that had an African-American lead. As me being a white male, its a clear observation. Taye Diggs was most likely the only lead in a drama series that wasn’t a front runner for racial stereotypes. Why do those shows get to stay on? i.e. Living Single, Martin. Great shows, but obviously catered to a more stereotypical black lifestyle, or was a direct source of the black lifestyle. Regardless, their was finally a black lead that didn’t fit criteria for black satirism and six shows later he’s gone. Why? Because he didn’t say Yo and Homie. Dude! Come on. Stellar acting, pinpoint accuracy for the part and we can’t get over the race problem. Sure shows like Lost had black characters and Grey’s Anatomy has strong black characters, but, wait, there are ten to twenty white people in the show. I’m not saying I’m right, but look at Taye Diggs last program Kevin Hill. African-American lead, didn’t last one season, but 7th Heaven is still on.

I love Daybreak and also wish it was brought back. I just wonder if we are preaching to the WRONG choir.

Maybe we should be writing to the companies that are advertising online during DayBreak and, if they are known, the advertisers who had ad’s DURING the on air epispodes. They are the ones that are paying for ABC to air DayBreak and if they realised how ABC blew it for them, or they were willing to pay for the air-time, it might get some serious backing rather than from just us consumers.

Daybreak is now my #1 show and I want it BACK, this season AND NEXT..

I was burned before by shows that are yanked before the end, so I tivo everything, I’m very happy they are going to replay the old episodes ’cause I never watched them when originally aired when the show was cancelled I just erased them. Thank goodness for second chances.

It never ceases to amaze me that ABC continues to pull its best shows off the air without even giving them the slightest chance to succeed. Does this network EVER clue in to the fact that some shows, no matter how good they are, take a little longer than others to find an audience? Come on ABC…Give your loyal viewers a break and put this show back on the air. There’s a reason that your best shows don’t always have viewers right away…It’s because of your too-quick “trigger finger” that many of us have a hard time giving ANY new program a chance for fear we will get hooked on it and you will pull it. In this age of iTunes and “TV on DVD,” many people figure that instead of investing themself in a new show, they will wait to see if it is a success and will “catch up” on Season 1 once they are sure the show has been brought back for a second season. That way, they don’t have to walk around ticked-off because their favorite new show got cancelled just as they were really getting into it. To this day, I am STILL completely irritated that you pulled the EXCELLENT series, “Eyes” after just THREE episodes! How do you expect ANY show to find an enormous audience after such a measly offering? Get a clue, ABC…Pretty soon, you won’t even be able to find an audience for the NEXT mega-hit like “Grey’s Anatomy or “Lost.” Viewers like me are just going to give up on you altogether. Give “Day Break” another chance.

I watched the premiere of this series, liked it, but then could not follow up. Wrong hour for me and no tivo. Then I started watching it on my computer and then one day it just disappeared. So promising! I was playing with the ABC site today, when I saw it again. I want to thank all those who pressured ABC to make it available again. This is excellent stuff. Cannot sleep. I dont know how these choices are made and what affects ratings, but what a loss! Thankyou again.

I have to say, it’s commendable that ABC is fulfilling their promise that this show would be solved in 13 episodes, even though the show was cancelled.
In addition, ABC’s online show player is by far the best of the major networks. I appreciate what they’ve done, though I completely disagree with their decision to end this show. It’s too bad it started so rocky. The episodes really became significantly more intriguing as time went on. I think it really could have found an audience. The writers did too much goofiness in those first few episodes – I think people just couldn’t stomach it.

I am one of many faithful American Idol fans who will be watching Fox on Weds nights as well as ABC’s According to Jim and Lost. If ABC wants to OWN Weds nights against American Idol and get us to DVR or TVO their shows/or watch them and DVR and TV Am Idol then they need to put Day Break back on the air before LOST and after According to Jim.
Oh..and just an idea…take a long look at a good comedy being canceled by CW that would go well with According to Jim…known as “Reba” Now you have my 2 cents worth…along with thousands of Day Break fans! ABC…are we YELLING LOUD ENOUGH YET??

Pulling Daybreak was a huge blunder by ABC. DayBreak and 24 are in a league of their own. Years ahead of any other shows I have seen recently.

You might think it would be hard to follow or redundant, but it isn’t. It’s awesome. At times my mind has to catch up, but I think this is an extremely well written and executed series with lots of twists.

I am excited that ABC atleast put it BACK on their site. I heard rumor Bravo bought the rights to the show. I hope they will finish, and continue Daybreak as this is a totally captivating series.

You blew it ABC.

For those of us who were hooked on
daybreak from the git-go (and miss ‘the Nine’ as well)…give us a break…does it occur to any of you that many of us, if not all, don’t want to sit in front of our computer screens watching the remaining 7 shows? Put Daybreak back in on Friday, where you are rerunning ‘Grey’s'….hsve you ever heard of video recorders or TiVo?
When you make promises such as ’13 uninterupted episodes’, what does that mean to you? That’s rhetorical since you showed us exactly what it means…nothing…Your winter schedule is a disaster and I know it’s going to be changed again soon…so why bother getting involved at all?

I can’t believe DayBreak is gone. This is the only TV Show that my husband and I watched together. I TiVoed it. I would have never known about this cancellation if I didn’t come online to find out why was I not seeing the new epiosodes. I have so many unanswered questions. I wanted to see so much more. I didn’t think this show would have been pulled. That was a BIG Mistake. I love you Taye Diggs and I pray that this show comes back on TV. Such a disapointment.

i loved daybreak, and rfused to take phone calls when the show aired, it had so many twist and turns you had to give it your undivided attention. I personally went online and wrote ABC letter to let them know they need to stop worrying about who wasnt watching and show some loyalty to those of us who were watching….. did change anything, but made me feel better.

There is nothing I can say that hasn’t been said EXCEPT…I will not be sucked into any NEW PILOTS on ABC! Cancelling Day Break BEFORE the plot was exposed was just TOO frustrating. I will think twice before I do that again! It was one terrific series and I just cannot imagine who in the world thought differently. It was one of the VERY FEW T.V. programs that did not bore me silly with stupid dialogue and an equally stupid story line. I hope they release all of the episodes so I can rehash at least some of them…just to refresh my memory.

I thought I’d surf the Internet to see why “Day Break” hasn’t been on air since the holidays. I had no idea I’d be watching the final episodes through my computer monitor. Ugh!

I can’t believe they (ABC) are pulling the best show with so much drama. I would like to continue watching Daybreak on t.v. at the same time and day that I was watching when it premiered. I didn’t start out watching on the internet so why would you want the viewers to now watch the remaining episodes on the internet. I feel you are cheating the viewers. At least ABC should finish what they have started. If it was one of those boring comedy shows (yes they are boring) ABC would have no problem airing the rest of those episodes. Please ABC think about it…..
