After posting a series low in the ratings last night, ABC has decided against ordering additional episodes of Dirty Sexy Money. Does that mean it’s cancelled?
Dirty Sexy Money follows nice-guy lawyer Nick George (Peter Krause) who takes over his late father’s only client, the wealthy and powerful Darling family. Tripp Darling (Donald Sutherland) is incredibly influential but is living proof that money isn’t everything. His relationships with his wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh) and their five grown children is sometimes shaky at best. His adult children are politician Patrick (William Baldwin), promiscuous Karen (Natalie Zea), corrupt clergyman Brian (Glenn Fitzgerald), and immature, party-loving twins Jeremy (Seth Gabel) and Juliet (Samaire Armstrong). Other characters are played by Blair Underwood, Zoe McLellan, Lucy Liu, Will Shadley, Laura Margolis, Bellamy Young, Candis Cayne, Shawn Michael Patrick, Chloe Moretz, Sheryl Lee, Andrea Smithson, and Daniel Cosgrove.
Money debuted in September 2007 on ABC. The premiere episode attracted 10.44 million people and a 3.6/12 rating /share of the 18-49 demographic. The following episodes dropped considerably in the ratings but ABC decided to take a chance and renewed Money for a second season.
Since its return on October 1st, the ratings haven’t gotten any better. Last night’s viewership represented a series low. As a result, ABC has decided against ordering any additional episodes for the season, effectively cancelling the show. There’s a slight chance that Money could return in the future but, with its ratings history, that’s not likely to happen.
The cast and crew are currently finishing up shooting the final episode. It’s not known if it will include any kind of closure for the show’s ongoing storylines.
For now, Money remains on the ABC schedule. If the network pulls it before airing all of the episodes, they’ll likely be released online or, at the very least, be issued on DVD. Stay tuned!

This is a great show ,the only reasons the ratings were low is because of the air time!I HOPE another network picks it up they did Medium!TOO many Reality shows!
NOO NO NO! PLS PLS RETURN IT BACK..I JUST FINISHED SEASON TWO AND IT IS AWESOME!
Totally agreee with Laura. I watch all these “season premiers” of yet another Doc show and think “Why?” DSM is original! I really hope another network picks this up
Truly enjoyable show with talented actors and good looking women, intricate but not too intricate plot, lots of sensual stuff, a little far-fetched at times, but what isn’t?
Bring it back!!!
Dorty Sexy Money is fantastic and I will really miss it ifits cancelled…please don’t let it go!!!
There’s finally a show that has some meat to it, and isn’t another cop or doc show and they want to cancel it!! I love DSM and want to see them bring it back for another season.
Why is it all the shows I like are being cancelled? All except these DAMN reality shows. I love this show & can’t believe this!!!
This is an amazing show! The cancellation definitely needs to be reconsidered.
agreed. DSM is great with story line, and characters….I mean seriously what else is unique like this? What? another hospital show? What about another lawyer show…wait! What about another cop show…looks like we lost DSM as the sheep that watch TV still would rather watch copies of copies of existing programming…
I love this show a lot, definitely worth seeing.
bring it back!! it;s my drug! I want to watch it again and again!
