Duets: Cancelled; No Season Two

Duets canceledAmerican Idol and The Voice will return next season but Duets will not. It’s been cancelled by ABC and won’t be back for a second season.

With Robin Thicke, Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend as judges, Duets ran last summer to poor ratings. The season averaged a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.93 million total viewers.

ABC didn’t include the series on their upcoming summer or fall schedules and have removed Duets from their website. What’s more, host Quddus told fans that there wouldn’t be a second season all the way back in September.

On his Facebook page, he wrote “A lot of folks are asking about whether Duets is continuing into a 2nd season: the answer is unfortunately it’s not.”

What do you think? Did you like Duets? Are you sorry that the series has been cancelled? Was it better than the other competitions?

Please bring it back this was my favorite live singing show. Not sure were the low ratings came from but all my friends thought this was a really great show, I think if you give it another chance you will be surprised at the good ratings after all it is a reality show and nothing is made up to sensationalize it.
